Can we talk about how TimeRanger is really fucking good at handling the 'you can't change fate' thing without needing to physically show TIME GHOSTS? Every character is struggling against their own past as they try to make their own future.
Tatsuya feels pressured by his family lineage to takeover a multi-billion dollar company when he simply wants to figure himself out and do odd jobs/karate.
Yuri wants to close the trauma of her past in the only way she knows how, capturing the man who sent an assassin to kill her family.
Ayase struggles with an incurable heart disease that hinders him and strikes down the time he has left to live.
Domon wants to fuck a hot reporter chick and succeeds so that his bastard child is now 1000 years in the past. Good for him.
Sion's home planet is destroyed. He's the last of his kind. He is destined to be forever alone, but finds solace in his 'family' of the other Timerangers.
Naoto struggles to overcome his own past as a foil to Ayase and wants to become more than just a poverty stricken boy. He does anything for power and status as he feels that's the only way to move on from his past, while he also resents Ayase who has everything and choose to give it up for his own whims. All of this on top of the fact that time is seen as 'impossible' to truly change. Even small diverges are corrected. They don't need to actually physically manifest it into a monster to fight this uneasy force of fate. It's always there, but nobody is unable to change their fate.
