THE WIND IS PUSHING ME
I've played a couple of days and wtf is this, a open world game that doesn't suck ass?
THE WIND IS PUSHING ME
Other urls found in this thread:
killing stuff with your pawn is top tier fun
But the open world is one the worst parts of it, although travelling through said world is very nice the first couple of times, but don't worry OP, you'll its flaws sooner or later, enjoy.
I'm playing on 360, did they really ditched the main theme in the Steam version? What did they put in its place?
pitiable she-goat
WHERE IS DD2
some generic Aaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaa aaaa aaaa aaaaaaaaaaa
Nor on the Steam version, but on the Dark Arisen expansion pack (all platforms), you ARE playing Dark Arisen, right, user?
what do you want to see in DD2?
I want more classes and much more pawn customization. Also, much better pawn AI
Combat is braindead buttonmashing even with high level builds. The only variation is how quickly you need to mash.
Base game. but I have DA in my Steam wishlist.
better AI and put all the stuff they cut out from the first game.
Is this Casca?
It was removed in the Dark Arisen re-release, even on consoles, because Capcom didn't want to pay licensing rights again. They removed the Berserk armors for the same reason.
How long have you been playing? You haven't seen BBI yet seems like, you're missing out big time.
Weather.
Sort of
Whole game has a lot of Berserk references (including colab armor)
what do you look for in a pawn, function or fashion?
Romanceable pawns
Just escolted Mercedes to the city, now I'm wandering around. I wasted a lot of time doing fetch quests.
Fashion of course. I'll never use a helmet.
WHY ISNT THEIR AN ACUTAL SEQUEL AHHHHHHHHHH
I'm pretty sure Mercedes gave me a delicious brown fetish
Cunny
In the sequel I really hope they fix the quest system. It's nice not having shit handed to you but on the other hand is really dumb that if you don't backtrack multiple times at the start of the game, a lot of side quests get locked and you are unable to do any of them.
I love finding stuff organically but there wasn't much rhyme or reason as to why random NPCs would show up in towns you just left after progressing through certain points in the main story.
Superior high fantasy opera
youtube.com
FUCK your shitty Japanese buttrock
loli pawns are only good for bullying
Yall remeber that black guy, the one who ends up being some sort of agent for some anti-drgaon cult orginzation? Wish they had do more with his story...
>open world game that doesn't suck ass?
Funny, the "world" is the weakest aspect of the game by fucking far. The combat and customization are what sell it for me.
Get to BBI, OP. Hell of a rush - tests your ability to manage supplies and keep yourself from dying between checkpoints.
this is far superior
I want Capcom to allow it to be finished
Now this is just untrue. I mean it's true if you get to a high level and steamroll everything in the game, which is a serious flaw in the game's design, but before you get to that point you're fucked if you don't watch what you're doing.
no. It does suck ass
this
the game is literally getting carried by looting, leveling and the combat.
the story only gets interesting in the last couple of quests and the world is emptier than my friends list.
this
BBI is amazing. I'd be happy if DD2 was just a hub city with a load of BBI style dungeons
This
I mostly look at skills and inclinations. If I had to chose between a riftslut, an appropriately equipped character and some fun or creative concept, I would choose the latter.
Oh, god, user... I want it so bad. Fuck Capcom.
Just recently played this, I spent so much time exploring and randomly killing shit that I didn't realize the main story Quests were so short, I just killed Greg for the first time and fell into the giant pit. How much new content is left to do? I haven't even gone to bitterback isle yet.
>Fuck Capcom.
calm down user, after DMC5 the chances for DD2 are higher than ever
Don't make the mistake I did.
I was raped by Valmiro.
What does Dark Arisen add to the main game? How are the KB+M controls compared to a controller?
>decide to play as a warrior again
>hear about the Iraklis
>try it out
>mfw
Holy shit
A good amount of fun fights in that pit. Protip: Find a guide on what gear is where in that pit, learn "godsbaning," farm up the gear you want, and go to BBI (((BEFORE))) completing that final quest. That final quest is the point of no return - you'll have to NG+ to open BBI again.
Basically only that giant pit is to explore in the main game. If you do the final quest in there, you'll finish the game. There are also some new dragons in Gransys.
The best time to go to BBI is when you are about to finish the Everfall and have all the wakestones you would need. They will come in handy in BBI. Only finish the main quest if you really want to be done with the game.
Based
Don't you mean another MH game?
It's abundantly clear Capcom wants the money from porting DD but doesn't want to make another. They shut down DDO for laughs or something I don't fucking know it sure wasn't anywhere near dead or anything like that
Dark Arisen could be a standalone game, it's fucking good. And KB+M controls are mostly preferable - there's one action, dodge rolling when you unlock the skill, that feels a lot better on controller but it's not so bad you can't just get used to it.
what happens at new game+?
Rumor is that Itsuno caught corona back in late march and is now is in icu hooked up to a ventilator. Don't expect DD2 any time soon.
Goddamn it, I really need to try these gimmick weapons out. The staff that resurrects mage pawns is great, that I know.
>What does Dark Arisen add to the main game?
bitterblack isle aka what everfall should've been
>How are the KB+M controls compared to a controller?
good. more preferable for aiming but outside of that I personally like controller more
also postgame has some new bosses at the end of the dungeons all around the world like a hydra in the waterfall cave
As other anons have said, explore the Everfall thoroughly but don't actually complete it. There's a lot of fun fights and cool loot there, as it was the endgame area before Dark Arisen came out. I'd also suggest taking the time to explore the open world again if you're inclined, as there are new enemies and spawns. Otherwise, prepare to brave Bitterback Isle (and don't forget to run it twice to get the full experience) before returning to finish the story.
>hydra in the waterfall cave
Fuck me, I never checked in there.
This game is PACKED with good shit, you never stop learning.
Are there shortcuts for check the map and stuff and assign hotkeys to items? Using the menu is kinda annoying.
You can assign items to hotkeys, yeah. I don't quite remember but I do believe there's a map shortcut by default on M+KB.
The ending will be funny, depending on if you are online or offline. You will also be massively overpowered, because you keep your level and gear. And no, hardmode barely helps.
>also postgame has some new bosses at the end of the dungeons all around the world like a hydra in the waterfall cave
Nah, there is a dragon. What you mean is the cave under the fortress, but only for one quest.
Hardmode makes the game easier once you get past the initial hump because your rewards are higher.
It's a bit cumbersome to use, with the extra damage you take and extra stamina usage, but it can delete monsters when it procs. Also very easy to enhance.
>fight Grigori
>knock him down
>take off 3 health bars with each jumping heavy attack
>fight ends in 13 seconds
So good.
>got this game at launch and loved it
>hurrr crapcom open worlds sucks
>years later its beloved by all
honestly hope you fags get testicular cancer
>just started the fucking game
>but already wants his coomer fantasies realized with pawn romance
Die, cancer
>It's abundantly clear Capcom wants the money from porting DD but doesn't want to make another
so just like they did with DMC1-4?
guess you are REALLY onto something business user
eh, frankly postgame gransys is pretty lazy due to only changing encounters on the way from cassardis to gran soren.
My guess would be that you were intended to go through the entire world and dungeons again but due to fucked development they could only quickly add in the bosses and change up the encounters on the way to gran soren.
this is also probably why postgame everfall is a thing. it's a condensed package of all the shit they wanted to add properly
Based
Fashion. NPC outfit pawns get tossed.
>eh, frankly postgame gransys is pretty lazy due to only changing encounters on the way from cassardis to gran soren
Not entirely, although there isn't really much. You get some new dragon spawns.
Rank the classes
For me when it comes to fun:
>ranger > strider > warrior > assassin > MA > fighter > MK > sorcerer > mage
Mystic Knight > everyone else > shit >>>>> your favorite class
Jokes on you, I liked game at launch too, I'm more special than you
If you want to kill everything without trying play Magic Archer.
If you want to have fun play Mystic Knight or Assassin.
