Every pick has been somebody Sakurai wanted. You can see with the way he's an expert on every game. So he's putting in Geno for sure.

Sakurai, the guy who could put Geno in any time he wanted, due said character being so minor that it probably costs peanuts to license him, yet keeps thinking tons of other characters, including the legendary Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, are better worth the hundreds of hours it takes to make one fighter.

I don't know, but that ARMS demo was great. I wasn't very excited about the first fighter being from ARMS until I played the game, now I am very much looking forward to buying the pass once the first fighter is out. It was a smart move on Nintendo's part so that every Switch owner has no excuse not to be familiar with the first character. I really hope the people who post in these threads are not people who don't even own a Switch and just come in here for the drama. That is so tiresome. Anyway, it is painful that it is still two months away before we get the fighter. I'd buy the pass now but I have to hold onto the money in case something comes up between now and then. But I started watching an anime that is kind of like ARMS so that will keep me busy in the meantime.

Brass and Helix not being spirits makes me kind of wary, but it would be so stupid to shirk the most popular characters because they were picked to be spirits beforehand, DUE to that popularity.

Well it's a good situation regardless because IF it actually turns out to be Brass or Helix or Coyle, any one of them would be fucking awesome and it would break the rule of the fighter having to be the game's main character. So I'm excited because no matter what a rule is getting broken and we're getting cool characters out of it.

I'm proud to have finished GP 5 times with 5 characters at LV4 and then I used Master Mummy for LV7 and it took me 2 days but on Sunday I defeated Dr. Coyle Hedlok. The game was great. Didn't get all the arms in the arm getter but tried all characters. They were all good except for Springtron.

This. If you don't have an actual interest in the thread's topic then get the fuck out. There's most of the times people who say "Smash is a kids game" and very rarely I see Steveposters or Snoybois. Sony games are good but bragging about them is literally more childish than any Nintendo product's own childishness. While yes, most rosterfag threads are just that (childish whining about who deserves to be in Smash) and they don't even discuss potential movesets, just bragging rights, they are for the most part contained.

I actually think people are sleeping incredibly hard on another Splatoon rep. Splatoon is Nintendo's #4 IP right now right after Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda. It's seriously absolutely huge, especially in Japan, and deserves way more than 1 rep, doubly so when you consider that Splatoon 2 is not yet represented in Smash in any way. With the amount of weapons and specials still unused you could easily craft 2-3 completely unique additional Splatoon characters.
