They patched the siege optimization and memory leak on like day 3 of the game.

POE's main problem is that they removed all the lower settings and their medium used to be the high settings merely 2 years ago. no more DX9 support also means it's useless to play it on anything lower than a 1060 because it will run everything in software more.
