problem is that TLoU is all about the relationship between Joel and Ellie. Ellie is really fucking boring without Joel and vice versa.

That recent-ish trailer where Joel talks to Ellie makes it pretty fucking clear that Joel is dead.

The only Sony centric leaker with any credibility indicated back when the Dina trailer came out that it was a misdirect meant to make you think she dies in response to a bunch of lesbians on twitter gnashing their teeth about ND killing another of Ellie's love interests.

In all likelihood the twist is Joel is who dies early and triggers her quest for revenge, and she leaves Dina to seek it.

Last of Us wasn't written by Henning and it was great. Same for Uncharted 4, which had objectively better characters and story than the other 3 previous games. What the fuck is your point?
I'm not saying that 4 is a masterpiece, just that the other 3 were incredibly forgettable and generic.

Nah m8, I really think Uncharted 2 was pretty good. She provided good direction for making a fun action adventure game and the tone was fucking perfect. UC4 maybe had good writing but the direction was awful. There's like three hour long chapters that are literally walking sims, and when Elena shows up at the end the game rolls all the way back to tutorial territory just to give her and Nate more time to talk. UC4 would be a 9/10 game if 20% of it was cut.

Last of Us is literally like a made for TV version of Children of Men. Nothing about it's story, characters, or presentation are memorable.

I only played the first 3 games, and yea, they are mediocre clusterfucks all around, even the animations and sound design are subpar. BUT, the characters are written pretty well so IDK what you are on about. Stories in 1 and 2 are pretty cool too, it's only in 3 that they started losing their charm and I heard it only gets worse in 4.
