The "original" footage had to be from a PS3 or some shit because I do not remember it looking like that on the PC. And it really doesn't look any better, plus it's looking like it's going to run at 30FPS on the consoles, again.

I can attest to the fact that it's perfectly playable, as I very recently played through it with friends due to lockdown. They never played it before, fucking loved it, it still holds up. As long as this "remaster" doesn't offer a drastic amount of new content, I'm not biting. And no, porting the SR4 clothes and vehicles is not new content, even though that makes it easier for me to create Dr. Eggman.

This has been remade to hell and back. I think its about time we put that game to rest. I would like them to fix the pc version though since the shits pretty much unplayable for me. They arent remakes though. SR3's new version just seems to use the old models as a base and just adds new lighting, fog, and textures. Its basically an enhanced port. SR2 also isnt technically being remade, theres just a team of two working on fixing the dogshit PC port and add the console DLC for free.

I disagree, the superpowers and more self aware tone made it more fun to play. Vehicles werent missed since SR3's city wasnt fun to get around in. Collectables felt more meaningful than 3, the character progression was fun, the amount of references to the earlier games made me smile and chuckle. Havent played the DLCs yet though.

The only game that well and truly needs a remaster is Future Cop: LAPD

the only improvement is the added light sources. most of the change is adding bloom and color saturation to make it look more "vivid" to dumb normalfags. the screens missing the screen filter is a downgrade.
