No time limit

>No time limit
>No survivor subplots and rescue
>No psychopaths with intro cutscene, theme music and unique fighting style
>Only one ending even though DR 1 had six and even short DLC episodes for DR 2 had more than one
>Frank West looks, acts and sounds nothing like he was in DR 1-2
>No co-op in the main campaign which was in every game since DR 2
>Less combo weapons than in DR 2, DR 2 OTR and DR 3, pretty much any game in series that featured them
>Half of shops in the mall are closed
>The only minigame is racing
>No food cooking
>You can't pick up stuff like baseball bats, golf clubs or chairs even though the models are clearly there
>Can't throw weapons
>Can mix drinks to get unique bonuses

Has there ever been a bigger downgrade in history of gaming than Dead Rising 4?

Pretty sure there is
But DR4 has to be atleast top 5.

How is no time limit a downgrade?

because dead rising was never meant to be a game about killing zombies, it was a game about managing your time effectively that had zombies as an obstacle between you and what you needed to do

Time limit was only there for the main story and sidequests, if you don't want to bother with those things you can just ignore it completely and explore the world or fight zombies

the entire point of the fucking franchise was to plan routes efficiently through a static map to save time and as many people as possible

Literally nobody likes time limits in games, it's a good thing you dingus.

You are not an authority on what is and what isn't the point of a franchise, fuck off.

capcom listening to casual retards like you is why the series died

>Literally nobody likes time limits in games
I do

lmao fuck off, general time limits were shit the second they were introduced to video games

Cry and seethe more, there is literally nothing you can do about it and it's a good thing.

And yet no one bought it, gg pleb.

Holy shit, I forgot this even existed. Did that meme about him not being the real Frank and just an actor playing him in a movie turn out true?

Because it made the game more challenging and fun, and when you unlock unlimited time later its more rewarding.

I would've burnt out way too hard on DR1 if there was no time limit.

Nice try but that's unrelated. Or what, are you going to tell me the masses were going to storm the stores for a copy if Capcom annonced that time limit is in?

Get the fuck out of here.

dead rising 4 was such a failure the dev studio that made it, capcom vancouver, doesn't even exist anymore.
clearly the people agree with me more then they do with you.

Don't ever make me repeat myself again.

It would have at least given the actual fans of the series some faith, who also abandoned it so it obviously would not have hurt sales.

I didn't move the goalposts, I literally never said the argument you're trying to put in my mouth m8.

Dead Rising Reboot in 2022

Not him but you have incredibly shit taste. The time limit makes DR unique among its zombie-slaughtering compatriots and FFFFFUCK you if you get filtered by it.
It's no coincidence that the DR games that were lenient with or had no in-game timer are also the shittiest ones in the series. I'm surprised you gay zoomers don't complain about weapons breaking as well

Time limits can be a great thing, Fallout 1 and Dead Rising greatly benefitted from it as it gave you a sense of urgency.

You like time limit in video games. That alone makes your opinion invalid and your taste shit.

>generalizing
No user, the only one with shit taste here is you

Why do people still praise DR1 and shit on DR4 then?

Do you unironically believe people like DR1 more because it has time limit? Are you people seriously this retarded?

it's one of the reasons yes

Yeah thanks for confirming. You are retarded.

You are the retard here

retard

People like it more because it's designed around the time limit, you absolute smoothbrain. It's not an arbitrary time limit imposed for the hell of it, the gameplay, story and scoops/survivors work in tandem with it. If you're really too stupid to see how DR1 is designed hand in hand with the time limit and how well it pulls everything together, then remove yourself from the gene pool asap. People like you are the reason DR4 exists and killed the series.

>Less TECHNOLOGY than a game that came our YEARS prior.
What a shitshow.

You guys have lower IQ than I have imagined possible.

Answer the question.

>get btfo
>y-you guys are stoopid
Hahaha. Reply to me if you're an absolute retard and want to prove it

One of DR4's big marketing bullet points was the removal of the time limit.
Last I checked, DR4 caused the company to shut down.

>DR4 caused the company to shut down
At least some good came from it.

So DR4 is bad but whats the general consensus on DR3? Thats the only game in the series I haven't beat yet. I used to dump on DR2 a lot and praise DR1 but I've grown fond of it over the years. Seems like DR3 is more of that but expanded further. Was one of the games that got me to buy an Xbone too.

Not as bad as 4, not as good as 2, not anywhere close to 1. It's clearly just trying to be bigger and louder than the series had been at that point, part of the focus is just on making wacky combo weapons and mowing down zombies, the psychos weren't as interesting, the main guy Nick isn't that interesting, it's one of those "turn off your brain" games.

I kinda like Nick. He's like Shaggy from Scooby-do, a fun coward. Game sucks though.

I think you can't beat a freelance journalist for a zombie game protagonist. Doesn't have to be Frank.

He's inoffensive to say the least. Starts off like a scared kid and by the end he's a lot more confident. At least it didn't butcher Frank like 4 did. I like Chuck as being a guy in the wrong place at the wrong time but Frank is still the best part of the franchise.

you are not the authority on who is an isn't an authority, fuck off retard

you're a mongoloid with shit taste and i would argue that yes it was literally the entire point of the series because the two most well known entries are the ones that featured them from the start

there's only one thing worse than a casual and that's a casual proud of being a casual

yes obviously because the time limit is literally the entire context for all the other mechanics

I think DR 2 is a really great sequel, because it improves on many small things and keeps the formula of DR 1 intact, but as overall game it's much weaker, it's downright derivative of DR 1's structure, sometimes feeling like almost a remake and has a weaker story

DR 1 > DR 2 > DR 3 >>>>>> DR 4

The Frank you play as should've been revealed to be a psycho who was obsessed with Frank

you are not the authority on who is or isn't an authority on who is an isn't an authority, fuck off retard

There have been some theories people tried to come up with just to see if they could salvage 4.
>4's Frank is actually a psycho obsessed with the real Frank
>It's actually a Hollywood movie, making fun of how real stories are retold in movies as very over the top
>It's Frank's stunt double
>It's Fred East, Frank's long lost twin brother

you are not an authority on who isn't an authority on who isn't an authority on who isn't an authority on who isn't an authority

retard

Will Corona make zombies popular again

ok but which game should I play

Dead Rising is built around doing multiple playthroughs to learn strategies that work and getting to carry over level ups from previous playthroughs.

The timer WAS the biggest obstacle in DR. The the first two games prided themselves on this balancing act mechanic.

absolute brainlet

Dead rising 1 vs dead rising 2 vs dead rising 2(frank edition), which one do I play?

Attached: ichihime10.png (240x240, 82.96K)

you forgot
>killed the entire fucking studio

1

1 and then 2: off the record

>>No time limit

that feels like an upgrade

1>Off the Record>2

it's not like you ever didnt have time to fuck around and do whatever you want all the time. it sounds worse than it actually is

I will never understand the direction they took Frank with this #FrankIsBack shit; he went from a pretty normal guy with a dark sense of humor to a memey weirdo

>It's Fred East
kek

Imagine defending time limit in 2020.
