not in my experience. at least in new leaf, the other villagers talk about their day, their house decoration preferences, food, walking out at night, the weather, upcoming events, random stuff. I had Chow on my town and he occasionally even talked about his mom and how he missed her. In my years playing AC I never once talk to a jock animal who didn't bring up training or muh gainz

Should villager species affect their behaviour more? Things like
>wolves: will stay up all night on full moons
>cats: will nap for an hour of the day and roam around at night for an hour
>bears: inverted sleeping hours in winter (except if they are going to move out etc so you can still convince them to stay)
>roosters: always wake up at the crack of dawn
I feel like layering the personality mechanic with something else would help make villagers feel unique further. So you might have two jocks but one sleeps in late and stays up while the other gets up early. Or one lazy villager is up at weird hours of the night and the other always comes out if it’s raining.

I'm just trying to unlock the path tool but Isabelle keeps telling me we live in a 2 star shithole. I leave a stack of fish and bugs outside the Nook Shop every night to not get jewed by the convenience fee on the dropbox, is this lowering my rating?
