Who knows, maybe devs were too busy reading Naruto X Reader fanfics to actually work on the game.

They shortened them so they wouldn't break up the pace of matches too much in online play. But they shortened them too much so a lot were really anti-climactic. In 3 onwards they were able to strike a better balance with the length and choreography so they still looked really good without dragging on forever outside of a few.

Those are the attacks that they use in the series. What fucking else do you want them to do? The only thing I would have liked to see in online would have been Jutsu clashes, that could have made it more interesting.

Not him, but i remember when early Naruto games really tried to do unique things with a characters powers. Like remember when Naruto would use his clones as a bridge in Rise of a Ninja, or would dog pile the enemy and then create a long chain of clones to smash the enemy down, or have him and his clones Rasengan punch the enemy to the point to where it looks like a nuclear explosion?

but that's the thing, Naruto's ultimates in later games AREN'T just Rasengans. His Storm 3 Ult is a Tailed Beast Bomb in half Kurama form and his Storm 4 ult is some 6 psths sage mode nonsense that probably involves rasenshurikens but is nonetheless flashy and involves far more choreography than just "run up to them and blow them away with a glowing blue sphere"

I never did play older Naruto games before Ultimate Ninja Storm 1. There could have been way more creativity but I think the developers just gave up after Storm 1. Ultimate Jutsus should have been something special so maybe if you press different buttons you get different variations or they could have implemented other mini games to make the, feel different, but Every Storm game after that felt like a lazy copy and paste. They should have had wall running, jutsu clashes and more. I honestly do not understand how they fucked up this badly by giving us these shit games, none of them feel any different, they’re not even trying to do anything innovative.

I agree boku no trash is irredeemable garbage but don't try to use it to defend another shounen trash specially Naruto.
