Despite fucking up the conversions, I think 214BC is a good way to swat people out of the air, although its effective against Yuzuriha is probably a bit worse off still

Ahh, finally got a gem out going in the middle of a combo only to drop it. Guess I really need to grind that out since I can do it more consistently against training dummies at least thrice as well as I'm doing in these matches tonight.
These kicks to the face and DP starters I'm getting nailed by are pretty good though.

The recent Core-A Gaming had me rethink playing defensively so I'm probably going to try playing more patiently and methodically instead of my usual System 1 thinking of "hurr durr 66x oki into grab/missile ecks dee". Someone also mentioned how UNI rewards defensive play so I just went with it.
A few times but I'm fighting against Melk and Pyro's Vat so I don't get many opportunities. When it happens I can't help but love it though

If your connections are that bad netcode won't fix it. You'll just end up with laggy stuttering teleporting rollback matches.
if it actually ends up taking a year + for her to come out, i might go back to my original plan of fucking around with the entire cast to learn how to deal with them as opponents
The connections weren't that bad back in PC ST. CLR somehow made everything even worse, for some asinine reason so I attribute it to something funny going on with the netcode or the port.

Rollback will never happen until French Bread makes a new iteration of UNI that is divorced from the ST base > CLR update. We'll get new characters before we get rollback, as you predict.

The 22Bs though that's by virtue of only doing 22A intentionally like twice tonight.
If Arcsys' entire team and KI guy is on it to throw rollback into Strive while it's still ways off, Kamone alone might come into at least SOME amount of trouble
That makes sense too, I honestly still believe we'll get it in another iteration
To put retroactive rollback into already created games into perspective, it required a dedicated team of engineers, several months, and Warner Bros. resources to get their proprietary rollback netcode into MKX. Kamone will have a heck of a time trying to get any sort of GGPO into CLR.
Never say never. If old games can implement it like Sam Sho 5 Special and Garou it should be feasible for UNIEL too.

I still need to determine if I'm fucking up scaling to drop all these 66Bs OTGs but I've maybe figured out a gimmicky but still work-able pressure string with j3[B] and delaying spacing my 4C cancels
I think I got a couple 22A throws and then clawz got wise to it and then I switched to like 22B once before I confused myself.

GGs, I didn't come in expecting to play that much tonight. I was going to try some vatista stuff at first but then I got caught up trying to figure out Lond.
yeah but think about all the shitty indie games that had it built in like fight of animals and pocket rumble. Even if retrofitting it is the hard part, there's a strong change they can get right on the next game they make.
neither of those games had netcode to begin with since those are arcade ports, but code mystics is a small team
Fair point, but I'll say that the older games like Samsho 5 SP and Garou had a dedicated team (Code Mystics) and their wheelhouse involved older games as well.
Concentrate since I'm so used to doing it with Chaos. I haven't actually tried timing it with the backdash but it feels like I'd mess up way more than usual trying that way since I don't use the dash macro
I've been predictably doing concentrate up close for 22A while doing backdash + concentrate for 22B with mild success.
While you're still playing, lemme recommend throwing out more j3[B]s during pressure, like in between reverse beat strings since that shit is +5 and let's you land to throw out shit like 5C afterwards.
Also, j3[B] is an easy as shit safejump set-up after any combo that ends with the C ender for rekka
I've actually been tossing j.3[B]s out to surprising success. It's gotten to the point where I reflexively link 66C on CH even when doing j.73[B] since both it and his rekka barely, but consistently, reach. It's gotten to be one of my favorite moves again since his launch due to how stylish it looks
Well if we consider small Western teams, the dudes behind Power Rangers BftG and Fantasy Strike can do both GGPO and crossplay.
Sounds like a no-brainer to me but it seems netplay is not too important as long as it works within their region for Japanese devs.
Both of those games were also built with GGPO in mind in the beginning. Retrofitting is the big barrier here, imo.
