No but the point is that P5 was announced a year before its supposed release date which then slipped, so there was a 3 year difference between announcement and release.
We've already surpassed that mark for SMT V and Re:Fantasy, which I've been personally looking forward to for longer

It's clearly a similar situation to Tokyo Mirage Sessions where they announced it when the game had barely started development and have since gone through a fairly normal development cycle for a game of its scope (and for a studio transitioning from 3DS to Switch.)

I'm glad I didn't give in for Pokemon and AC since one of those games is shit and the other isn't worth buying a console for.

frankly I thought smt4/a was shit so who cares really. The spinoffs like dds and sj and devil survivor are usually much more tightly designed.

How did the ps2 get like a dozen SMT games but it's taking a full console lifespan for them to make one fucking game?

HD development fucked up Atlus's game output. Persona 5, SMT IVA and TMS are the only new games they've developed since the 8th gen started that aren't remasters or spinoffs.
