FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE

I’ve been thinking about making the jump to Reddit for years now. I’ve been on Yas Forums since 2009 and I just simply have had enough of this cancerous tumor of a discussion board. I'd be fine with the twist if someone competent was in charge of directing the game. Like imagine if instead of time jannies v sephiroth, the party realized from the start that they were reliving events, and then quickly picked up that someone or something was tweaking history. Once they figure out its Sephiroth and they understand what his endgame is, they could become the time jannies, forcing the OG chronology in spite of all the trauma they're going to have to re-experience. With a competent team behind him, a Yoko Taro could pull something like that off. Nomura though? Never.

I have a game backlog in console land without even touching my steam library. Why would I waste time on vidya my Yas Forums brothers warned me against? In this shitty world filled with globohomo corporate schilling, the only people you can trust are people talking shit about latest product. I've picked up games that Yas Forums shit on from hell and back like Death Stranding precisely because the shit they flung at it was the only honest critique you can actually find of games.

Sephiroth falls in love with Cloud.

Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina (Jenova) with the Ex-SOLDIER's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on him as well.

But, the next day, when Sephiroth recounts the previous day's confessions to Cloud, he only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the Cloud he called is not the same Cloud he fell in love with. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. He is Cloud's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the Sephiroth's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
