I watched an in-depth analysis of the 1982 The Thing and it completely changed how I perceived the movie. They went into extreme detail about all of the subtle post-filming editing they did and how it was expertly crafted.

It wasn't a documentary. Most of the video was picking the movie's individual elements apart to explain them rather than giving the audience a behind the scenes view on how the movie was made.

There is no deep analysis of The Witcher 1 without absolutely shitting on it. The gameplay is obviously awful. The dialogue is jarring and, when it doesn't lift quotes from the book verbatim as "funny references", it tries too hard to be clever and/or edgy. The treatment of the lore is abysmal and contradictory, and the source material is completely misunderstood and squandered. The plot is a literal amnesia story with no original beats. The choice system is probably the only thing it has going for it.

Failed 20 something year old, wannabe E-celebs making long video essays is probably the lowest form of entertainment.
