Because it had so much potential, only for it to end in the worst possible way. If it was just some shitty, soulless trash that got a bad ending, I wouldn't be mad. I know some people bitched about Ash and Kaiden, but ME1 was the only one where I legit liked all the companions.

Since Valve is retconning badly ended shit with time travel, could Mass Effect do the same? Change ME3's refusal ending so that the descendants of the next cycle who defeat the reapers conventionally arrive from the distant future to effortlessly slap the reapers out of existence with their massively more advanced tech as a reward for Shepard's and Liara's efforts giving them a chance to exist. Simultaneously they would go and do the same for all the other civilizations of previous cycles who were made extinct, branching reaper-free past futures for all of them.

After the disaster that was Andromeda, I no longer trust modern bioware to make anything decent. Unless they sell the rights to ME off to another group that actually cares, it's better just to let the series rest in piece without digging up it's grave.

What the fuck happened between Mass Effect 1 and 2? The Citadel looks like a JPEG texture and no longer has the night atmosphere, Presidium doesn't seem to be explorable, bloom everywhere, horrible controls and UI. Why do I have to press a button now to enter cover? To say the least this is sad.

My Paragon play through:
Spacer, War Hero, Adept, initial intent to go paragon on every option except the krogan who this Shepard believed to be a threat, brought mordin around to my way of thinking. Pro-Quarian, sided against the geth on grounds of the dangers AI represents. Let garrus win. Romanced Liara. Destroyed the collector base, believing the illusive man would misuse it. Played the suicide mission perfectly, no deaths. Unity is our strength except for krogan and geth. Destroy ending.

My Neutral play through:
Colonist, Sole Survivor, Engineer, neutral on every option, took no sides except where the game forced me, Ash killed wrex, the krogan are cured by way of me not interfering. The Geth and Quarians made peace by way of it being the most neutral option. Let garrus win. Romanced no one, as romance would require taking a side. Forced to make a choice on collector base, decided the most neutral thing to do was destroy it so no one could have it. The council lived in ME1. Took a neutral stance on the suicide mission and let the crew make their cases giving them their preferred roles which got a lot of people killed. Our strength comes from standing back and letting things sort themselves out. Synthesis ending.

My Renegade play through:
Earthborn, Ruthless, Vanguard, full pro human, killed every alien I could, intent wasn't to go full renegade but went full renegade with a few exceptions, including wrex, mordin and kept the krogan down. Destroyed the geth at every possible turn. Beat Garrus ass at shooting. Romanced whoever the fuck I felt like at a given time as long as they weren't a dirty alien. Delivered the collector base to the illusive man. Killed the council in ME1. Organized the suicide mission in ME2 so most of the non-humans would die. Our strength comes from Humanity and punching things in the face. Destroy ending.

That's all I remember. It's been years since I played the series.

I'd put the robot in F tier. I like S tier except for Legion which I'd put in F tier. I'd put Ashley in C tier with Kaiden. I'd move wrex-lite to F tier. Kasumi would be upped to B tier. Jack down to D tier.

I'd put Jacob in Jacob tier.

Don't be facetious. The lever up system overall got hugely downgraded. I don't think 1's system was perfect though, I think that 3 did the best in that regard

I was legitimately surprised I liked the Asari Milf. My Paragon play through of all three games, with no romance, ended with.... a romance, with the Milf. I didn't even know it was possible. Samara is actually a pretty interesting romance, especially out of the unintentional blue like that.

Colonist is too melodramatic. Space is kind of boring, but it is cool that you still have a living parent around. Earthborn is perfect; inspirational, makes you tough, but not bogged down in melodrama. It's flexible.

Based. Ruthless is the most realistic for Shepard anyway as ruthlessness is chiefly what the Spectres look for. Like with Earthborn, it is also a flexible background not bogged down in melodrama.

I would send my Rachni waifu against them if needed. And indeed, they would have groundside forces, but no naval superiority. That be said, if conflict would happen it would happen when Wrex is out of the picture and his replacement chimps out and that might happen after galaxy rebuilds.

I'm still with Liara, but Shiala and mommy Benezia were great.

I think the problem with ME2 is that since there are so many squadmates they had to spread the powers a bit thin. Leveling up Shepard feels good in ME2 but not the squad since they hardly gain anything and don't have many abilities.

There is no way I am curing the genophage. The rachni is a huge misunderstanding and blunder, but the Krogan are barely controlled savages. The sheer amount of them that are born is absolutely insane, and the genophage quite literally just corrects their birth rate to not be the equivalent of pigs. As a race they are also more concerned with dude gotta have babby more than unfucking their planet or getting a society going too, so I'm for that reason also not going to trust them. Wrex is a bro but one bro does not influence my decision.
