After the third hour, get ready.
tutorial is 3 hours game doesn't get good ever though adachi is the killer
JRPGs require patience. Something like Doom or Call of Duty would be perfect for someone like you.
>he doesn't know
Persona 4's intro is notoriously long.
Don't insult JRPGs like that.
There are plenty that have way better pacing than P4.
>When does the video game start?
lol you thought persona was a video game?
I'm a big JRPG fan but this shit is just boring
As someone who defends the opening of DQ7, go and suck a nigger dick.
>complains about there being no gameplay
>when the game does start you'll rage-quit because you think it's too hard
Sad! Many such cases!
cmon m8
>100 hour+ jrpg is boring in the 2 hours
never gonna mak-adachi is the killer
>game
lol you asshole
it's fine user the gas station attendant is the final boss
hard too think persona 5 tutorial was even longer than fours.
ana nanako dies.
A big issue is that P3 could drag its feet as well but that super eerie opening earns it a lot of good will.
and yet nobody complains about it because nobody gives a fuck about persona 5
>1/5 of the "game" is cutscenes
YIKES
persona 5's is more spread out and kamoshida's arc being as good as it is kind of saves it from being a total slog
adachi is the killer
Persona 5 at least has BUDGET. Persona 4 recycles 3's engine and a lot of assets, it literally came out on PS2 after the PS3 was already out.
we helped you OP,now go play a better game.
'Ate cutscenes.
'Ate linearity.
'Ate tutorials.
'Ate quest markers.
'Ate fast travel.
Love me non-linear exploration.
Love me high degrees of player agency.
Love me strong atmosphere.
Love me gameplay integrated storytelling.
Love me unique mechanics.
Simple as.
based
four was still a good game even with the low budget and recycled engine.
What are some games?
If you're looking into p4 for the gameplay you're going to get disappointed, it is more of a vn than it is a video game
If you're not interested in the story and characters now might as well drop it, you will find yourself skipping all dialog while having a barebones combat be slowly developed across many hours

Play Dishonored?
BASED
I don't even know why I downloaded it. Yas Forums has always shilled this game so hard so I guess i thought I'd try it. I don't even like anime so I don't know what I expected.
>I've watched 2 hours
literally the second you stopped
Why I have to watch through the length of a movie worth of cutscenes just to play my video game?
THE CHAD PERSONA 1
>first dungeon crawl starts within minutes of starting the game
>almost no tutorial whatsoever
THE VIRGIN NUSONA
>first "dungeon crawl" is always three hours into the game
>it's extremely handholdy and characters explain literally every conceivable thing to you as slowly as possible
Because Persona is about the teenage drama and not the gameplay.
Except for all that gameplay that you're going to suck at.
>Persona 1 lets everyone have multiple personas
Gee Philemon
>Persona 1 lets human minibosses have personas
Wow it's like the concept of a persona isn't exclusive to extra special teenagers with hearts of gold, not in psychology and especially not in the first two fucking games
So you hate every video game made after Morrowind.
those are good games, yes. OP should play them.
to be fair i liked the cutscenes
>doesn't like anime cutscenese
>plays persona
user what are you doing
I'm pretty sure you can beat P4 pressing buttons randomly and never have to reload a save.
Adachi is a genuinely good villain and it's a shame he's stuck in a shit game that's not equipped to handle him
>WHY'D YOU DO IT ADACHI?
>because bad people get away with shit all the time, don't act like I'm an exception, the police force is full of people like me
>oh yeah and also i guess i hate women
>I KNEW IT, HE JUST DID IT BECAUSE HE WAS AN INCEL, EVERYONE BEAT HIS ASS FOR CLAIMING SOCIETY ISN'T PERFECT
And then it turns out a supergod did it
My friends tell me that I never step out of my comfort zone with games and Yas Forums has told me this was good for years
Well yeah.
I died too many dies for that to be true
Yas Forums has told you fucking lies, anyone who's played more than 4 and 5 could tell you 3 is better, and anyone who's played the first two would tell you to just play those first
So you're saying I should be playing 3 on my ps2 emulator instead? I'm not setting up a ps1 emulator
supergod didnt do shit, just set up the game and gave the keys to the players
adachi's crimes are all on his own
To be fair the first two games are not fun to play for a zoomer.
>Playing persona for the dungeons
The only way this board is usable is if you do the opposite of what people say, and realize what they think is the exact opposite of what's true
playing P5 for the first time with emulator atm. I might be getting too old, but i liked P4 a LOT more than this. One big reason is the cat. In P5 it feels like the cat is constantly making decisions for you. In P4 it feels like you're the one making the decisions, which is a lot better
i played 3, 4 and 5
4>5> .. imo
3 is too bleak for my tastes
4 > 3 > 5
4 is only good due to Adachi.
The game makes Sony exclusive games seem like they have deep and rewarding gameplay. Persona 5 too.
lool epic spoil
>3
I'm sure op will have a blast when he's 20 hours in and starts wondering why he's spent so long playing a game where all the dungeon looks the same
The cat is just a replacement for inner monologue, and it is indeed really annoying at times. But there are many improvements p5 got over p4 for it to budge in too much
Do know you never get rid of the cat
>adachi's crimes are all on his own
Absolutely, but it shouldn't have been set up such that Adachi got his power through anyone but himself. Personas are supposed to go to anyone with a strong sense of self, not just people who are naturally gifted. I think it would've presented a much stronger dilemma for the IT to be faced with the fact that this dude, this absolute cretin of a person, got the same power they did, lending credence to Adachi's idea that it's all just unfair luck of the draw. It's like how Team Rocket remains the best Pokemon villains despite being the most dead simple, because by just being shitty people without any grand reason behind it, it confronts the protagonists with the fact that some people are awful, and some awful people are powerful.
Just seems like a stupid waste of the chance to invert P3's final fight against a god that represents a concept, and instead have that concept represented by one fucking dickhead.
p5 has a lot more style and a great interface, I'll give it that, but for me my main thing of a persona game is how much it tugs at my social immersion, if that makes sense. After P4 i was legitimately sad that it ended because i wanted to see more of the friend characters, sad as that sounds. Don't see that happening with P5, but im not through yet, so we'll see.
also, i liked the music in P4 more. Music is a huge deal for me
it's so simplistic but i was in love with this song
