I have 1400 hours in CSGO but most of that is custom servers and fun stuff, only a few hundred competative.

Every time i try to get back into competitive it feels meh, this looks like it'll scratch that itch for me perfectly.

It won't fail. There is a lot of hungry and thirsty people out there right now going ape shit to get a head start to become pro players or top streamers.

Tournaments will flourish, orgs will be created and teams will flood the market. Then, Riot will come and establish a franchised model with $50million a slot and will basically kill the Tier 2 scene and grassroots orgs.

I think I am willing to give it a shot. I don't usually play games that often these days so I never really bothered with upgrades. This game's minimal requirement is practically toaster tier. If I can actually get 100+ fps on my shitty 5 year old laptop while running flawlessly with 128tick server then I am sold.

If it werent a shilled and advertised game by Riot, i woudnt give it a second look based on the things shown so far. It looks terrible in both visuals and gameplay.

At current stage is not a competitor nor to Overwatch, let along CSGO.

I really like the idea of a hero-based game that just copies CS's movement system, but the map that the streamers were showing off was so flat and boring. I understand it's to maximize visibility, but you can have that and still have some sort of flavor.

All of those use GGPO, GGPO was made by tom cannon, tom cannon is the creator of the league fighter and works for riot.

Riot has more global infrastructure for online games than any fighting game ever has in the history of gaming.

infrastructure doesn't mean as much in 1v1 fighting games, and rollback is rollback. if it's well done the experience will be mostly similar across various fighting games. no matter who's designing it.
