So i got a villager packing up to move tomorrow, and i want to find a new one via nook miles islands. Does anybody know when the earliest i should start searching is? I really don't want the game to choose one for me after a few days, so can i get someone to agree to move as soon as tomorrow even though my departing villager will still be in her house packing up?

They don't appear on islands if you can't ask them to move in. So it will be obvious when you're able to.

You can gift them real outfits. But these would have to be custom designs.

No idea if its random or a set time, sorry. Maybe it's just the next time you get a briefing when you start the game, so your first login of the day or logging out or any time after logging out after someones moved out?
If you see the lot vacant just don't turn off the game until you find someone, I guess? Maybe they won't move in then?
I've had one villager show up at my campsite this entire time, and it was the first one. I don't really understand it since it doesn't seem like anyone visits it often once you have a full village, especially if houses fill back up as fast as you say.

Animal crossing has been making me feel pretty lonely. The only thing my villagers say to me is shit about Bunny day and that you can find eggs in coconut trees.

I know being lonely and not having friends is a me problem, but fuck, I was hoping that my villagers would provide a little bit of positive social interaction. Instead it just makes me feel sad.

Farmed 50 a day, used about 150 of them until I got a stringfish.
That's without easter eggs taking up some of the spawn chance.
I never want to farm clams or have to spam the workbench that much again for something so uncertain.
The act of fishing itself is fine. I'll do that 60 times a day. But fuck the process of getting bait. At least until multicraft gets added or it significantly boosts the chance of rare fish when bait is used.

In new leaf the villager cycle existed where if you kicked out your villager after a certain number of other villagers visiting your camp he would come back, I dont know if this mechanic exists in the new games.

Dig random holes, but keep them where they have at least one open space all around the buried shoot.

not random holes man. like say 7 holes around the parameter. I haven't seen shoots in this game jump a tile across yet.

The repeated dialogue is really disappointing.
You can occasionally find them talking with each other and actually see some of their conversation, but I don't know how many variants of that there are.
I'm already bored shitless of my villagers themselves. Uchi singing, Jock doing stretches, etc are cool the first couple of times but they really don't do much more. So after you feel you've seen most of the dialogue you lose a bit of appeal from the village. It feels like it happened much, much faster this time. And there's even less villagers in town at max so less repeated personalities. I hope patches gradually add more lines, animations and activities for them but I feel like they're done with that part.
