>Sonic was born in Christmas Island >Amy met Sonic thanks to her tarot cards >Tails installs a rocket in the Tornado after Wing Fortress. Said rocket is still there in 3K >The ancient echidna tribe and Perfect Chaos are referenced in 3's jp manual >Knuckles' story in 3K happens after Sonic's, as evidenced by the capsule in Sandopolis and lack of Death Egg in Launch Base, Lava Reef and Hidden Palace >Vector believes in god according to Chaotix' jp manual >a kid in Station Square talks about Sonic saving Little Planet and Angel Island >Tails' flashback is based on Sonic 2's jp manual (last jp manual one i swear) >the Biolizard and Shadow's designs are based on Gerald's research on Echidna culture >a texture in Iron Gate mentions "Monstrous blacks" >Rouge shows Eggman a newspaper that mentions how Tails saved Station Square from a missile >Maria died from space AIDS >Sonic is the real ultimate life form >a bunch of conversations in Heroes referencing the Egg Carrier, Casinopolis and Mushroom Hill >pic related >Neo Metal obtains Chaos data thanks to Chocola (a chao) and Froggy (the frog that once swallowed Chaos) >If you wait 9 minutes in Devil Doom's fight, Eggman reveals that one of his robots rescued him from his SA2 fall and put him in the capsule from Heroes >Blaze is opposite of Sonic in every single way (socially awkward female mammal that's afraid of heights) >Sonic has at least some interest in reading books, proven by Secret Rings and that one christmas artwork >Sonic promises Amy a date in Unleashed but missed it according to Black Knight's post credits >Blaze talks about Marine in Colors DS >Wisp energy is stronger is stronger than Chaos Energy >After Colors, some wisps liked Sonic's world so much they decided to stay >Baldy Mcnosehair comes back from Colors in Lost World >Sonia Mania isn't part of the actual timeline and it's basically a what-if dimension
Dark Brotherhood is the last game in the Dreamcast timeline
Justin Morales
The canon reason for Eggman using badniks in Colors and Lost World up until Forces trying to beef them up was that Sonic destroyed most of his factories during the events of Unleashed intro and ending.
Cameron Garcia
I wonder why Eggman is the way he is is it ever explored how he feels about the whole gerald/ARK thing, or how/if it has affected him?
Gavin Brown
it's briefly hinted that he's got some emotional baggage once he learns the truth, and in heroes he's actually trying to save the world from his own creation (metal sonic), but then 06 happened, and everything went to hell in a handbasket.
Jonathan Collins
Or the writers just stopped giving a shit which is the obvious reality of it.
Xavier Powell
Gerald was Eggman's hero. He was heartbroken when he found out Gerald went mad and was incredulous at the idea that Gerald worked with Black Doom. Despite being a bad guy, Eggman still respected Gerald for his altruism.
Lucas Brooks
"Hey Sonic Im gonna TAKE OVER THE WORLD" "Hey Shadow FUCK YOU AND YOUR MEMORIES" Yeah there wasn't any deeper motive in this game he was just a fucking clown like every other depiction since then
Liam White
It's called NIDS. They later explained that it was contagious for humans which is why she was sent to space and why Shadow was her only real friend. Also she was apparently born with it.
Wyatt Ortiz
Bare MINIMUM Sonic CD and Sonic 3 are part of the Adventure thru Shadow the Hedgehog storyline. We know this because Adventure 1 has Amy reference "the good old days" with Sonic saving her from Metal Sonic, and Sonic saying "Don't tell me Eggman tricked you AGAIN?" to Knuckles in reference to Sonic 3. Since nothing in these games directly contradicts Sonic 1 or 2 we can safely assume that all the mainline Sonic games from Sonic 1 to Shadow the Hedgehog all fit together chronologically. Ever consider that?
Tyler Thompson
I like how he is depicted in Sonic X (japanese version, 4kids changes too much) The scene where him and his robots gang up on Black Narcissus is one of my favorites (as long as you're not watching the 4kids dub) Decoe & Bocoe (and Bokkun) are my favorite Eggman henchmen, really
Henry Brown
WHAT I DO KNOW IS WE ALL DID IT TOGETHER!
Brayden King
>>Knuckles' story in 3K happens after Sonic's, as evidenced by the capsule in Sandopolis and lack of Death Egg in Launch Base, Lava Reef and Hidden Palace Just adding, AIZ background with Sonic is water and with Knuckles is sky
>>Wisp energy is stronger is stronger than Chaos Energy Where is this stated? didn't played Colors wii and don't remember a shit about DS one
Hunter Collins
Sonic 3 directly connects to 2 since Sonic still has the Chaos Emeralds from the events of that game when they're heading to Angel Island.
Jace Campbell
If 06 retcons itself, then what future does Silver come from? Is he even the same Silver from 06?
Also what's Eggman Nega's deal? I always assumed he was an alternate version of Eggman much like Blaze is Sonic's dimensional counterpart but apparently he's Eggman's distant descendant from an alternate future? The fuck is he?
Isaac Johnson
that was Metal Sonic pretending to be him, remember? Eggman was stuck in a cell the entire game.
Jackson Sanchez
Niiiice. Do Sonic 1 & 2 directly connect in-game?
Robert Murphy
He's SORT OF the same silver, and we can blame the confusion on Generatons, where the 06 timeline loop gets fucking blasted wide open by the Time Eater, and thus basically merges the two different Silver Timelines (one where in 06, Blaze sacrificed herself and left Silver alone for the rest of his life, and the other where he just starts out alone). Eggman Nega is a time-and-universe travelling FUCKWAD that hopefully scared Eggman himself out of ever having children.
Kayden Barnes
I've seen a lot of people saying Iizuka now thinks there's two planets where the Sonic games are set. I believe it's due to this quote: >We have two different worlds for Sonic games – one is human, and one is set on the non-human side. Sonic Colours is set on the non-human side. The only human in the game is Dr Eggman, who tries to build this huge amusement park which, as you will see on the world map, ties all these planets together with a tractor beam. However, I don't buy that these two worlds mean two different planets. The Japanese use the "world" looser than we do, I personally think he's just saying that humans and non-humans live apart from each other to the point they're different "worlds" albeit on the same planet Earth. Having two planets also makes zero sense when accounting for the Adventure games anyhow.
The Silver seen in the newer games is from Sonic Rivals and not 06, where his future is still kinda fucked, just not from Iblis.
Brody Torres
>If 06 retcons itself, then what future does Silver come from? Is he even the same Silver from 06? Sonic Rivals user, Sonic Rivals
Jonathan Morgan
Then what the FUCK happened to the moon. You can see it in every game after SA2 and it's completely fucking fine.
Eli Murphy
>Where is this stated? Unused line from colors.
Henry Martinez
This thread is incredibly based, thank you to all posters.
Hunter Jackson
probably went unused for a reason.
Jaxon Gray
>Hair >Fox Brown Is Fox Brown called Yellow?
Owen White
The explanation is that it just turned to only show the half that wasn't blown up, so the side you can't see is still a huge crater. Even though the moon doesn't rotate I guess they'd just explain that Eggman did it for some reason.
>Unused If it's unused, then it's canon or not? it could be planned at the start of Colors development but they could discard the idea before release
Brandon Hughes
No, Iizuka literally meant to words. He once mentioned a gate between the worlds that Sonic and his friends travel through to visit the human world.
Jonathan Torres
The official explanation given was the momentum given by the blast of the moon turned it around slightly and it's just constantly ponting the non exploded bit is looking at Earth.
In the comics it's explained that Eggman rebuild the other half of the moon and hid a giant base in the exploded mechanical parts.
Zachary Evans
I don't think so, that's why most people consider CD to take place there, between the gap of 1 and 2. Mania's manual also references the events of SegaSonic the Hedgehog so that must happen somewhere there too.
Wyatt Butler
>blaze gets flustered when people bring up her flat chest that's cute as heck best girl
Nathaniel Cook
I call bullshit unless you have a source. Angel Island in Sonic Adventure otherwise makes no sense.
Austin Anderson
>Maria died from space AIDS No, she got fucking shot.
Logan Cruz
Everything post Unleashed doesn't make sense.
Isaiah Davis
Iizuka is delusional, Shiro Maekawa is the hero we need back
i played forces for free last month on ps4 (i made a yellow bunny with his floppy ear and called him hopsy) is the whole thing part of any sonic continuity?
Oliver Morris
>Wisp energy is stronger than Chaos Energy So is this shit from Rush Adventure.
> Sonia Mania isn't part of the actual timeline and it's basically a what-if dimension But its how generations 2 starts user
Colton Rogers
In SA1, Amy has a Sonic CD flashback, as evident by Metal Sonic's appearance.
Speaking of which, would anyone be down for an Adventure-style remake of the Genesis games?
Jordan Ramirez
She was born on the ARK and got the disease later. Gerald was looking for a cure. She was slowly dying and then the GUN member shot her in the back while she was helping Shadow escape.
Easton Roberts
>Come on! Let's go home! To the planet as cool and blue as me! Unleashed was the last time I really gave a fuck about a Sonic game, although I haven't played Black Knight yet. If Iizuka really meant there's two different planets the games take place on, he's a fucking retard that needs to go back and play the Dreamcast games instead of blowing Pontac and Graff. But if that other user doesn't have a source clarifying the two worlds thing, I'm going with my original interpretation about Iizuka just using vague wording.
