>get 4
>all upgraded

yeah im thinking im based

I'm new to the game, as soon as I saw Demon Form I wanted so bad to build around it but then I randomly got this card and it's so much better it's not even funny, especially if you upgrade it, it's just crazy how much better it is and how strong it is. DF just costs too much energy and even if you do get it off, this card can easily outpace it anyway while allowing you to block and take other actions in the meanwhile...

I bought this game two days ago, can't seem to get past the third lvl, I think I just need to git gud but I am not used to card games. Any tips?

I also bought it two days ago and I just beat my first run with the card in OP. I have some experience with card games but I need to readjust in general. What I found out for now (may be wrong since it's my 2 day experience and what I've seen):

-relics can be fucking strong, if you can fight them elites and get those relics
-don't take every card you see every time, try to find a theme for your deck and if you think a card doesn't fit don't take it. Having a big deck is not good because it means you have less consistency since you won't have the cards you need when you need them
-build the deck thinking about where you want to go with it. You need some kind of strat to beat the final boss, wether it's str abuse like OP, block abuse, whatever, you need some OP combo and/or relics to win, you will not win with just a bunch of "good cards"

play the silent and take wraith form and well laid plans every time and instant w

Don't grab cards if they have no place in your deck, get ones that cover the essentials like multi-target attacks, defense and high damage for bosses

There is no build that's as unreliable yet FUN as a Power Defect build. I can't not play it. Send help.

what fucking game niggers

Depends on what you are already doing. A lot of it comes down to learning what cards are worth it, what risks are worth taking. You are already getting far, so you are probably on your way.
>get rid of strikes
>keep the deck thin
>get attack cards in act 1 and fights and elites to get cards and relics
>aoe and block in act 2, as well as events

So I'm enjoying this game, but is there a game more on the line of a classic card game but focused on PvE? Something like a standalone Hearthstone dungeon run mode. StS comes close but it's a bit different in concept, only one guy instead of summoning minions and most abilities are just about gaining/losing energy, attack, block and drawing cards, but no shit like crazy deathrattles, RNG summoning etc

Slay the Spire

That's not corpse explosion.

post based relics

Stop being sub 100iq.

Post deck. You can view a previous run's deck and relics in your records or something.

Crush the Castle.

NIGGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

>He isn't using limit break AND demon form

.

Nob is nothing. This fucker, however

this guy is actually the most forgiving of the act one elites though. The fucking sleepy crab and three sentry drones can fuck off

>There is no build that's as unreliable yet FUN
Exhaust and status deck on Ironclad is pretty fun with firebreathing dealing damage every time you draw status and curse cards now.

some tips:
>Strikes are fucking useless, remove them
>thinking about how cards work with your deck not just "XD CARD GOOD" a card can be "good" but shit in a certain deck
>Massive decks are to be generally avoided
>Card draw is exceptionally useful
>Think about how you against bosses and elites, a floor one Demon Form isn't the best pickup since you'll rarely use it, there's certainly an element of immediacy but also a long term, try to balance them.
>The Watcher is fucking strong
>don't be shy about using potions, your 3 strength potions won't matter if you are dead.

Others have already said this, but I will post it again to highlight its importance: don’t pick every possible card up, a smaller and more managed deck with good combos will always beat a overly stacked mismatch. Remember, your hand isn’t gonna be any bigger no matter how much cards you have in your deck, so there’s no inherent advantage in having more cards.

Also, try to nuke default strikes and blocks out of the deck and replace them with something better. Card removal can be expensive, but in end game, those are ultimately just dead choices that you should never spend energy on - better to get rid of as many of them as possible.

Sentries can be annoying as fuck, but in general, they deal less damage to me than Nob or Lagavulin do if I have an average deck.

rate my fun rankings
Act 1
guardian>hexaghost>>>>>>>>slime boss
Act 2
the champ>automaton>>>>>>>collector
Act 3
time eater>donu/deca>awakened one
Act 4
the heart can suck my dick

Sorry, how the fuck am I supposed to read this. Time Eater is the MOST FUN Act 3 boss?

Time Eater is a fun and unique idea, but no other boss can counter certain deck archetypes as hard as that shitter does. I guess that Awakened One can be hard if you play an extreme power ramping deck, but even then it is easier to manage than a shiv deck etc. against Time Eater.

That's retarded, Inflame and spot weakness work much better with LB than DF. DF is just useless.

>powers defect
>not frost defect
being the slowest scaling deck imaginable and still winning is the greatest shit

maybe if you take zero energy relics.

Draft for specific archetypes. Don't just blindly pick every "good" cards you find, but think if they synergize well with what's already in your deck. Not picking a card is a valid option and there's a reason card removal costs increases every time you do it at a shop, thin decks with a single win condition are generally better than thick decks full of cards that don't complement each-other.

Always keep in mind the energy and draw penalty cost of adding a card and try to think if NOT drawing that card and cycling faster through your other cards/having more energy to play your other cards could be more peneficial than drawing that card.

The name of the game is limiting your amount of bad/dead draw so you always (or as often as possible) have something useful to play during your turn.

How do you play Watcher?

Have a mean of reaching Divinity and any multi-hit card.

>not lightning defect
>not knowing the pleasure of echo formed thunder strike

Attached: 7f6.gif (360x276, 2.38M)

while time eater is hard working around his gimmick and thinking about the value of your cards is fun
managing how you are going to end your 12 cards is interesting

Take every card draw you see and stance dance.

Yeah, unless you're trying to make a shiv deck. Then you start act 3 and you just spend the entire act throwing everything you can to counteract the fact that your deck is going to kill you, unless you have kunai and shuriken already.

Topple the Tower

You don't always get energy relics and even if you do I don't even think DF is a good idea. You just need 2-3 STR to start with and then you can just go to town with Limit Break off of itself especially with headbutts and stuff bringing it back over and over again. DF costs too much and is too slow against cannon fodder enemies and would be good against bosses but you can do without as I said and you don't even need to invest the first 3 energy that you may need to block etc in the turn you happen to draw it.

I see, makes sense. I just unlocked her and tried to play a run but the wrath/calm switching seemed clunky.

Post your deck. Stance dancing works great, if you have the correct cards for it.

Nah it was shit I died in act 1 before the boss and it was the first time I played her and learned about the mechanics, I'm sure I can do better, I was just a bit confused.

Watcher just has so many good cards, it's crazy.

>was going to give up in act one because i reached the boss with like 10 hp and basically took no elites
>managed to beat it taking only 4 damage from thorns
>get offered vault and snecko
>turn the whole thing around and slay the heart

Attached: 1565334679998.jpg (1137x763, 192.73K)

Yeah I think the problem was I took too many stance dance cards but I didn't even have attacks or card draw so what happened was that I could go into wrath but had no attacks to use the wrath with or I could exit calm but didn't have cards that actually did something to spend the energy on.

Anyone doesn't fear this guy the most is some scrubbo playing on Ascension 0

>tfw you play 7 flex cards before limit breaking

>get a flex potion
>pop an artifact effect before using it
>free 5 strength

Or is just playing the best class and can demolish him before he gets set up.

>Almost an entire deck of Feed and Clash
No one can convince me this isn't based

why am i fucking stuck on asc 19 ironclad?

Why are you fucking stuck on asc 19 ironclad?

>two of those stupid hex motherfuckers+bird basically back to back with a skill heavy deck
FUCK

You don't embrace the branch

Having this card plus the relic that let's you start with this card was the most fun I ever had.

Most fun I've had is getting a 5 card infinite cycle Silent deck. Pretty much requires a Peacepipe from the whale to pull off though.

Can you rank the Elites in terms of difficulity?

do not show me things like this, i do not appreciate them

It bothers me how the entire fucking deck changes basically every time I play it. It feels like no card plays the same between each patch, I swear.

I always knew Yas Forums was bad at card games but holy shit, it's clear none of you play above ascension 0.
Limit Break is a combo card. You play one or two upgraded copies, an Inflame/Flex, headbutt to recur it and the rest of the deck is defensive cards so you can survive until you ramp strength. Once you ramp it's irrelevant what your attacks are, you can kill with basic strikes it doesn't fucking matter you have 100+ strength.
Same goes for Demon Form. It's a one card combo though, you can plop it in a purely defensive deck and kill with one whirlwind or something.
You play mediocre cards that care about strength scaling like Heavy Blade when you have random sources of strength like Girya or a few Inflames.

What is "defensive cards"?

Demon Form is a free win.

What people don't understand about Demon Form is that you build a fuckton of defense around it, and just let the strength build up. With Demon Form, just basic Strikes are enough. Cards like Sword Boomering and Reaper are worth diverting for, but otherwise you just grab all the weak, block and -strength cards you can get.
