Feels good man

that's awesome OP, enjoy. Personally never liked the N64 but as long as you're having fun then thats what vidya is about.

Got mine hooked up next to my PC for playing Doom 64 (before the PC release), Perfect Dark, and Turok. Sure, there’s emulation, but it’s not the same as OG hardware.

>infernal machine
I'm so sorry for your loss.
That n64 looks like it's in relatively good condition though, good on you. Most people seem to not take care of theirs.

Playing Starfox 64 on anything besides the real console with a first party controller feels weird. I basically just pull mine out for my yearly Starfox session. I can get by with Virtual Console releases or other emulation for the rest.

I recently played it via emulator with a ds4, felt pretty good once I got the vibration working since my rumble paks all died.

>excitebike 64
Not quite up there with EAD's extreme sports games on N64 but still pretty good.

Be sure to mod your hardware and use a GameShark as well as an OSSC if you're playing on a flat panel TV
The blur only looks good on a CRT

Too bad you have literally zero games worth even touching. Fuckin' loser.

>pull out old consoles
>feels like tatty old worthless junk

What the hell is this feel?

That's rude and reading this made me sad. My day is ruined thanks to you
:(

I sold all my old consoles because I can just emulate everything and am not a nostalgiafag.

Emulating the N64 is notoriously hard though

>just make the game look worse bro

I wish my controllers weren't so garbage. I'd be playing it right now.

Why would you want a blurry picture?

Why would you want an aliased and dithered image?

It's really not. It isn't 100% accuracy but that's a very very end of project sort of issue. Most games are playable start to finish with just minor graphics/audio fuckups.

Based. I wish I had DK 64

>controller feels like the hardest fucking material ever invented

The three prongs was the least of it's problems.

>Emulating the N64 is notoriously hard though
That hasn't been true in forever Use parallel with angrylion, rendered at 240p and you've got the pretty much the perfect experience . Use an svideo shader if you want the super authentic look

Just about every N64 game worth playing (there's not a lot) emulate flawlessly with the above setup

I'm guessing you also find PlayStation games ugly?

Also got this gem

They are generally quite ugly yes, especially that example.

>those custom labels
where does everyone get those. I always wanted to get some for my n64 carrying case, since it's got like 50 fucking game slots and I never remember what game's what.

>Warped and blurry as shit with no aliasing
The novelty wears off after a while

Perfect condition, used to play with it as a kid and found it again after checking on my parents and helping them with their garage. Shes a bit dusty, but works flawlessly

I got them from Etsy I believe

That Toy Story 2 game was the fucking shit, one of the best movie licensed games I ever played. I should emulate it.

Where's your Starfox 64 you chumps? Or Diddy Kong Racing? If I was at my brother's house I'd bury both of you with my collection
Admittedly I don't have this but I have a lot of 3rd parry titles like Extreme G, Vigilante 8 (both) and Gex

Still has fucktons of input lag

That's how I feel when I pull out my SNES games

Besides Rampage, those are all just my games from when I was a kid I still have. I’m too broke to buy new n64 games very often

not when you run it on a crt with hard GPU sync on it doesnt

Attached: 20200405_150109.jpg (4032x1960, 2.98M)

I cant get mine to work for some reason. Power button lights up but nothing shows up on the tv :CCCCCCCCCCCCCC

I still have mine. Never played majoras mask.
I have connected to a flat screen and was surprised when it was full screen.

It's not supposed to be full screen. If your TV has the option force it to 4:3

How’s PM64? That was one of the hardest as far as I can remember

running it through retroarch with no adjustments it runs fine as far as I can tell, it had some graphical fuckups in chapter 3 with the haunted forest, but once you get into the mansion&gulch it was all dandy.

Oh and the master's final form aura doesn't appear graphically. It's still there but he doesn't have the glow&lightning.

Not bad for the first run in 10 years

Attached: image.jpg (4032x3024, 1.49M)

What do you lads do about controllers?
I have a good one but never use it because I don't want to to break. The others work but the joystick is fucked. I can still play but it's annoying.

I have one that's in great shape and several that are beat up from years of Mario Party, I never do full rotations on the good controller unless I have to.

>not leaving your 64 plugged into your CRT at all times

Attached: 1571503271331.jpg (259x194, 9.21K)

>analogue sticks are fucked
>Video looks like complete dogshit no matter what you plug into it
>20 worthwhile games and half are autism simulation collectathons
Truly the most cope console

That’s what I do

ahh yes the n64 a true classic

Attached: 2A80F12A-C9BF-49EA-8FBB-E8C98E411314.jpg (3264x2448, 2.34M)

>sin and punishment
>collectathon

try again, brainlet

>Plays and controls better on the virtual console
Mischief makers and S&P are the only reasons to own an n64 if you must

Would it be a fools errand reclaiming my Nintendo 64 collection? I sold all my games and I really regret it. Are the games Chrono Trigger prices?

just buy a flashcart

I'd rather have the games.

you still have the games, it just takes up less space

What game is that?

>Played all my classic games on original hardware until last year
>Sold all of my old carts, consoles, controllers, etc
>Prefer playing them on PC now with DS4 or Switch Pro Controllers, Gamecube for those

I can see why people like using scanlines other shaders or whatever to make it look a little more like it used to do but most games look better pixel-perfect to me

>Paying out the ass for what are either bootlegs or repros of the uncommon good N64 games

your understanding that your grown up and
need too throw away you're childish trash

why old memory cards are so big

>don't collect anything, just live in a barren room

Maximum cringe.
Why are people so aggressively against collecting video game items? You never see this kind of hostility against movie or music memorabilia, or even dvd/vhs and cd/vinyl collections even though the exact same "just emulate it bro" can be directly applied to them.

I have a giant plastic container tub full of carts and games I never play, and I have a flashcart. Ones more convenient and the collection serves no purpose other than pulling out and staring at once and a while before putting it back to gather mothballs

Last I played it I was playing Pokemon Yellow through Pokemon Stadium 2 shit was finicky because if I barely bumped the transfer pack the game would freeze. Never played a Pokemon game on big screen so that was cool but I've never been into the Stadium games so maybe I should try them. I got my N64 at a Goodwill with Pokemon Snap, Stadium 1&2, Puzzle League, Spiderman, Glover, Lode Runner, and Mario Kart last year so maybe I should play them or sell them idk.

Do you have N64 games?
