>$60 re-release on the same console

>People don't like paying $60 for expansion packs.
WHO KNEW!

Futaba's stinky NEET feet on my face!

Did it?
I'm enjoying it, but I'm curious where you got your numbers

Attached: riselick.gif (1280x720, 2.52M)

Because no Switch version

Is it selling poorly? If so, good. I want that shit to drop in price quick. I want it, but I'm not paying 60 bucks for it.

it didn’t though?

I was thinking of buying this game a fourth time or picking up FF7 instead.

Attached: Futaba 2.0.webm (1920x1080, 2.79M)

It didn’t lmao
Imagine having to lie to yourself like this

Proof?

Great, maybe it will go on sale, or they will learn that demanding 60$ for DLC is too much.

Why does this game make Yas Forums seethe so much?

where's your proof that it flopped hard?

It did in Japan
Sega even said it underperformed.
gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/sega-not-happy-with-sales-of-p5r-in-japan-33481758/

Nobody is seething

>60 bucks for a glorified expansion
>On the same console no less, thus less incentives for PS4 owners who already have standard P5 to buy it
>P5 Scramble is going to come out anyway, which is a brand new game
Mostly was just Atlus being once again retarded and not cutting the price and just making it a downloadable expansion

the source is a nintendo fan site
very unbiased source

segasammy.co.jp/english/pdf/release/202003_3q_presentation_20200205_final_e_.pdf

$100 dollar rerelease still sold like half a million in Japan. Whatever the budget for The Royal was they made their money back a few times over. Fucking Atlus keeps getting away with it.

>P5 Scramble is going to come out anyway, which is a brand new game
Brand new doesn't mean that anyone likes it. Unlike P5R which people seem to really fucking like.

Oh wow, it’s another episode of “the suits in a corporation who bought a small company are somehow never satisfied with their output no matter how well they do because they’re only concerned with maximum profit for shareholders” I’ve seen this one so many times
It’s like you’ve never had a boss in your life, the fact that it’s only sega saying this just shows that. If amazon bought apple they would be saying that all of their new releases are underperforming and not satisfying them enough for how much they paid to buy them out.

Yep I got it digital on my PS4, and if it comes to Switch, physical again, or if it comes to PC, digital again.

Though I don't have high hopes for a good port from Atlus or Sega.

>This virus is making the game sell even better than it already was going to.
This I fucking know people that bought the phantom thieves edition knowing it was going to be late then proceeding to buy the digital edition to play it on time

Page 18

What other possible metric is there?
The suits are the only thing that matters they are the ones that make decisions if they feel it did bad then it did bad no matter what and it will affect the future of the series in some way.

They needed to appeal to women and trannies more like animal crossing

They did though, they censored a scene

>it will affect the future of the series in some way.
oh no, now they wont release the same game twice for full price

I would've done that if PS4 was my primary platform, but since the steelbook wouldn't match the Switch version if it ever comes out, I didn't get it.

Autistic I know.

They "censored" it by making it slightly less homophobic and more transphobic instead. We won, not the resetera faggots.

Yeah that not's enough. They need to remove the combat and let you dress up your character with hundreds of outfits, then sales would soar.

You are so naive. Sega spent a shit ton of money to buy atlus, and sega is already a company that doesn’t have much going fo it these days. Until Atlus makes them back all of the money they spent on them two fold they will never be happy with them. I can guarantee you’ve never stepped foot in the business world before. Every boss you will ever have will be cracking the whip and saying you can do better no matter how much you perform because they only want to extort money out of you as much as they can. Like this user said the japs had to pay $100 for it and it’s still atlus’s best selling rerelease to date. Your shitty article is old as fuck anyway it’s only about Japanese sales when Persona’s main sales come from abroad.

I hear sales are quite underwhelming, same as P3D/P5D, guess P5 isn't as milkable as P4 was
actually, do we know how much P5 Scramble sold?

Attached: EAc9AkpUIAAjQmq.jpg (1066x1200, 248.94K)

Underwhelming for P5 is more than any of the other games by far. The original P5 sold 10mil.

>Sega spent a shit ton of money to buy atlus, and sega is already a company that doesn’t have much going fo it these days. Until Atlus makes them back all of the money they spent on them two fold they will never be happy with them.

Maybe they should start porting their games to other systems instead then.

>isn’t as milkable
Every P5 property has sold more than P4 properties other than the dancing game because the novelty wore off after the first dancing game P4D.

Yep, just the Switch alone would easily net them another mil or so. Ideally PC would get one too.

It's the same game as vanilla P5 with some extra content that could have easily been DLC thrown in all for full price.

Funny how the Dancing games have more SOUL than the mainline ones

Attached: Dancing Ann 1.webm (1280x720, 2.95M)

>Flop hard.
>Sold more than all other Atlus games combined.

Still hoping for the port huh?

>waaahh why wont they port it to the switch!
>if they dont port it to the switch then it's a flop!

Positively based

Except scramble sold like shit on the switch and Catherine sold like shit on PC. The people who want it on those are a loud minority.

You mean P5? Because P5R is nowhere near close in sales

PQ2 also sold less then PQ1, and the P5 anime wasn’t as well received as the P4 one. Also we haven’t even gotten a P5 arena yet

I feel the dancing game would have sold just fine if it was just one game, instead of two full priced games

Fatlus doesn't care. P6 will be only coming out for the PS4/PS5.

people are not going to pay 60 dollars again for an add-on.

P6 won't come out for a while brainlet, this is Fatlus we're talking about

Maybe THIS time the port of a popular 3rd party JRPG to switch will sell! 50th time’s a charm!
Not only does Atlus not have the resources to do that and has no interest in doing it, they literally have no clue how to develop for switch because SMT V is pretty much a dead project at this point. In case you’re a retard who doesn’t know anything about Atlus, scramble was made by Koei Tecmo before you try to bring that up which is the only reason it was able to be ported.

>soul
>had worse DLC practices than most modern triple A games
waifu cucks will eat any shit fed to them

Probably before SMT5

and yet people did it for p4g.

Catherine sold like shit on PC because Full Body literally came out right after. Who in their right mind would buy the inferior version? Port was also trash, so that doesn't help.

Scramble also makes sense it's a sequel to a game not available on the Switch.

It's not gonna flop, and I never said it was. Nice false-flagging faggot. Just saying it'd sell all the more with ports to other platforms.

PQ2 sold very well for a 2019 3DS game, if PQ1 came out in 2019 it would have sold less than what PQ2 sold

Ah yes, because Full Body's Switch port isn't being done by Atlus, no way.

Out of stock on Amazon besides scalpers, sold out in almost all the Walmarts, Targets, Gamestop, and Best Buys near me (NYC metro area). OP is a fag.
I'm not to happy about the $60 rerelease either but I don't feel like I have to lie about it in order to shit on it.

>Who in their right mind would buy the inferior version?
Um, I don’t know, maybe the people who want Atlus titles on PC who don’t have a PS4? As in, the people who would have bought Catherine on PC? You realize Fullbody isn’t an option for someone who is PC only that didn’t have access to either Catherine up until that point? Fullbody should have no effect on it because it wasn’t coming out for PC any time soon.

I havent bought it yet because of Doom, re3 and ff7 back to back, once Im done with them Ill pick it up

>if PQ1 came out in 2019 it would have sold less than what PQ2 sold
no it wouldn’t

>before SMT5
s-shut up, son of man

Attached: 1518894106627.png (633x758, 136.6K)

atlus are fucking retarded, most people who were interested in p5 have picked it up over the years and at this point the amount of people willing to shill out 60 fucking dollars for an expansion is slim to none.
just fucking make it a regular dlc dor 35~bucks like iceborne and it will literally sell itself

It's not a stretch of the imagination to assume a lot of PC gamers have PS4s, and vice versa. Or you know, people assumed Full Body will eventually come since it's called Catherine *Classic* on Steam, so they decided to wait.

nintendolife.com/news/2020/02/sega_laments_poor_performance_of_its_console_releases_in_latest_financial_report
Here's the actual article. Sega was "disappointed" with the quarterly performance of ALL it's new console releases that period (Sakurai Wars, Mario Olympics, and Persona). There's nothing to accurately take from this besides that they thought their Q4 profit would be higher. If anything, I would assume it's Mario & Sonic underpeforming which would lead to this statement.

>a 10 hour game with one set location where you can move around that is 80% cut scenes that was already ported to PC is the same as Persona 5

>Not available on Steam or Switch
>Would have to go out and buy a ps4 just to play it
eh

$60 for the same game with 10% new story and a balance patch content on top of the same story that makes 100+ hours. Plus proudly boasting California woke censorship ethical changes. Not even a top seller!

Big mystery!

Holy shit tendies LITERALLY lying to push their narrative. The tendie seethe for P5 never ends

It was a top seller on amazon retard. OP’s shitty months old article already got debunked too

Literally every Rhythm game these days has DLCs user.

Attached: Dancing Ann 2.webm (1280x720, 2.92M)

There is no article in the OP, user.

I was actually interested enough to get this, especially because of all the free time quarantine has unceremononiously foisted upon me. Fuck the DLC though, I can't believe the balls on Atlus/Sega to make separate paid DLC for an expanded rerelease.

and that makes it okay? Because others do it too?

Yes.

It's always going to happen man.
Now im going to just enjoy the game.

Bzzzzt
wrong

>DLC = BAD

Welcome to 14 years ago user, glad you could join us

DLC is fucking bad.

personabros

I finished P3P
Finished P4

I bought 5 but only finished the first dungeon with the gym teacher.

Is all the extra stuff worth buying this game again?

Does the story change at all or is this re-release just the extra character?

Really conflicted here

Because it's the same game on the same console. Besides, I experienced it once, and I don't want to touch it ever again.

...and ching chong yang to you, my friend

All "Downloadable content" should be free
right now DLC is just glorified microtransactions
we need expansions back and have them cost 1/3rd of the game's price.

It sold more than previous rereleases soooo

>release dlc version of Royal for PS4 versions of P5 only
>people seethe that they’re not updating the ps3 game
There would literally be no pleasing you retards
