It has like 9 games all with relevent lore details and like 12 books that aren't cannon to the plot of the games but exist in the same universe. The games are the original plot while the books cover a bunch of mini stories that explain a bunch of shit that happens in the games but aren't explicable with the details provided in them. like how the animatronics controll human cognition using radio waves emitted by their buttons so they can hide as humans, or how Souls can be harvested and used to power animatronics.
