emulate it via Dolphin with keyboard & mouse injector, works like a dream
also 2 is better
TS:FP had better story and more content than it's predecessor
>Had most of the content of its predecessor
How come I play this on PC then?
Retard.
this is what console retards believe
you mean it was your first fps
youtube.com
looks like utter shit
not even the best in it's series
also perfect dark and goldeneye have objective based missions when you change difficulty, I wish they kept doing that
it's like the retards who say Golden Eye is the best fps because it was their first one
but thats not doom 2
single player wise ranking
FP>2>1
MP wise
2>FP>1
nostalgia trip wise
2>1>FP
Timesplitters never got the love it deserved. Easily the best split screen multiplayer experience of my life.
>looks like
lmao this fag never even played it what a gay
it's not the best for sure but it has a better single player campaign then a lot other FPS games
my friends used to come over and we'd actually play this game all fuckin day, co-op and multiplayer
i'm hoping the timesplitters games are added to enhanced back compat on xbox series x because i really wanna play them again but i don't have an og xbox.
>local coop is almost dead
>lan multiplayer is dead
don't care about your console fagging
just came here to say that i want another time splitters
after Haze, I don't think there'll be another game like Timesplitters
everyone with common sense and good taste wants another TimeSplitters
everything was fucking awesome, from the wacky story to the Virus mode
Owning an original Xbox is a headache. There's still no way to softmod one without owning a copy of Splinter Cell, but at least its still cheap. On top of that, Microsoft used shitty ass capacitors that eat away at the motherboard, so you gotta replace all of those bitches if you don't want your Xbox to die. On top of that, the encryption for the hard drive was never broken, so you gotta keep the original drive if you ever want to upgrade to a bigger one.
I still don't understand why emulation hasn't taken off.
TS2 is superior
Also I fucking miss how games used to have all sorts of extra content. The actual campaign barely scratched the surface of timesplitters 2. There were so many challenge/arcade missions for you to unlock and play, and that's without getting into the large amount of multiplayer content.
The remake has potential
ol 2 is barely playable because they were still figuring out the proper controls for FPS on consoles
timesplitters 2 has standard dual analogue FPS controls
you mean 1
2 and FP play almost the same
i don't plan on buying one any time soon anyway i just want the game to be supported on next gen xbox as its probably the only way it'll ever be playable in modern times unless sony does a complete 180 on their back compat policy for ps5 and support ps1 and ps2 games natively.
This will never not make me fucking mad.
>Not even contarian Yas Forums faggots can meme on Timesplitters
Truly one of the greatest game series ever made, i almost don't want a fourth one, they would ruin it in todays world
but Timesplitters 2 is better and Quake is the best FPS ever made
that's why you use the Dolphin thing like I said
>modern Timesplitters
>sprinting
>crouch sliding
>clambering
>every female character wearing a burka
>no jokes games are serious business
>two hour campaign
>battlepass thing
>hyper-obnoxious paid skins that don't fit with the artsyle at all
As much as I would love a new Timesplitters I would be extremely wary of any attempt at a new entry in the series.
It's the only console FPS I enjoy because it compensates for the controller with it's amazing content.
>also 2 is better
Words of the wise here. It indeed is better
THQ Nordic will probably do an HD remake or something to test the waters.
I cant pick one to be the best. In SP you have the tight story of FP with great characters and moments, but 2 has the GoldenEye/Perfect Dark mission design with a lot more freedom to tackle shit, and harder difficulties have a lot more variants.
I had my very first seizure to Timesplitters 2. Still played the shit out of it, amazing game.
>Grandpa?
>Hey, you're no zombie!
I'd be there day one if they put it on Switch with gyro, or even just on GOG.
Yes there is, I softmodded mine without doing that
Did it via hotswapping, like this video (youtube.com
Also you don't need to replace the clock capacitors, you can just tear them off (unless you have a 1.6 motherboard, which doesn't have any)
Yₑₐₕ- *hrmm* Yeah
They aren't going to add any more games to the original Xbox backward compatibility library
(news.xbox.com
Nope 3 is better than 2.
so buy a copy of splinter cell. idiot
it's really not, the campaign has a better story but that's about it
God the OST in these games was so fucking good, the fucking variety in music and levels was great.
>console fps
>best of anything
it's a laughably outdated relic with clunky as shit aiming. to put things into perspective, this shit came out in the same year as fps like F.E.A.R.
In a way I'm almost glad the Timesplitters series ended in '05, got to avoid a lot of the BS tropes that plague modern gaming, I mean with the sheer amount of playable characters, maps and weapons the games had there's no way something like that would fly without it being pumped full of microtransations.
A trilogy of nostalgia games with the gameplay to back up all those memories, wouldn't want to think of them any other way.
youtube.com
>That menu OST
Gets me so hyped
they said they're only going to add to the series x not the one x. that's what i'm referring to.
TSFP is tainted horrifically by EA and 2 is the better game. Better designed, better weapons and better OST.
youtube.com
Webm semi-related - me realising my muscle memory is gone after not playing for most of a decade.
I don't see where that is written, only that they won't be adding games to the backward compatibility list because they are developing Series X
>my first FPS
Halo revolutionised FPS's retard
it is understood to be continuing through to the next gen. austin evans talks about it in his video and phil spencer talks a little about it in his recent next gen podcast on ign. it's only stopping for xbox one, which makes sense because it's a EOL console in a few months.
>revolutionised
I think you mean casualized
How?
>that fucking godawful aim
why is the player struggling to hit targets that are practically stationary? Is the guy from Polygon playing this?
>Fortnite has that timesplitters energy with the artstyle and animations
>Gunplay sucks since it's taken from a horde loot shooter.
>Most fun items are immediately nerfed due to reddit and streamerfag screeching
I see, thanks
Its being emulated via dolphin and I played the ps2 version a decade ago. When I bust out my actual ps2 my gameplay improves.
there's a lot to look forward to going into next gen regarding old classics. i'm liking the dedication from both companies. the xbox in particular is doing some cool things. there's some stuff you can read up on if you're interested.
vg247.com
Timesplitters 2 in 4k HDR would be a dream come true. i hope sony also adds ps2 back compat with 4k HDR because i have a whole shelf of ps2 games i'd love to revisit. emulation has never really been my thing personally as i could never really get it working.
Timesplitters 2 was way better, but this did have the best map maker.
EA fucked with Free Radical's work on the game and forced all the shitty, infantile innuendos and childish humor. TS2 had better wit and design.
PASSWORDS
LOLLIPOP
SWEET
It was the first console FPS that wasn't shit and revolutionized the matchmaking systems people loathe today.
lmao thinking console shitters are any good at fps
