Yet whenever I bring up that I'm going to play a game with a controller, it's treated like an option of absolute last choice used by people with no sense. What is a controller actually good for?

>What is a controller actually good for?
everything but fps, but even then it's fine

>it's treated like an option of absolute last choice
Maybe because you're trying to play FPS or TPS games with it. It's bad for anything that requires aiming.

If I want to properly play a game and get into it I will generally go for keyboard.
If i'm just playing something more easy going i can get the controller out and lay in bed chillin.
I remember playing dead cells and I would always use a controller for that it just felt better.
Each to their wn.

>What is a controller actually good for?
pleasing your anus with the vibration on/off option

why concerns yourself with what others think? that's a pretty faggy mentality

For playing casual shit on a sofa. Not as something bad. Also you can make soft cinematic camera swings via R-stick.

How are you gonna play souls without a controller?
Plenty of singleplayer first persons are fine on a controller too. I play subnautica on the couch by preference.
It's pointless in anything multiplayer, obviously.

PROJECT CARS 2 IS HARD TO PLAY ON CONTROLLER.

What a retarded fucking question. What's wrong with Yas Forums?

Personally I like playing games like Batman Arkham with a controller. The PC controls for combos are ridiculously stupid and stretch your fingers like mad.
Also games like Session and the other PC skating simulator ONLY work with controllers.
Retro emulators, that's a given.
Fighting games on PC, I guess.
Also it's pretty good for google earth flying simulator.

Controller is best for action games like Sekiro. I played on PC but plugged a PS3 controller into mine to play because it’s so much better. I think racing games are also fine. Stealth games like splinter cell as well.

Any game where you need to make slow or precise movement for your character is good with a controller because of the flexibility you have with a joystick over the arrow keys. Otherwise for stuff that requires any aiming, mouse and keyboard is much better.

>Precise character movement is better with joystick
>Precise camera movement is better with a mouse
>Precise commands are better with a keyboard

Really depends on the game.

>What is a controller actually good for?
literally any game that doesn´t require quick and precise aiming

playing games

Everything that doesn't require 360° aiming or point and click movement is always better on a controller.

Shut up lmao what are you fami?

Regarding this, why hasn't anyone tried coming out with a gaymen keyboard that has an analog stick attachable to the left or right side of it? It could even have trigger buttons at the top of the attachment so you won't have to sacrifice your buttons or anything.

Someone post this cuck's picture I forgot to save it last time

3D platformers, twin stick shooters and racing games mostly.

You're legitimately retarded.

>why hasn't
they have
several times

You use a controller for everything but FPS or RTS, but even in FPS is fine if you're just playing casually.

I beat Sekiro with m&k.

Simulating analog sticks in a digital media as USB is kinda problematic. It probably has to do with that. Config would be a pain in the ass

Just because you DID doesn't mean it's PREFERABLE.

Thanks, I'll be the next one to post it

>he doesn't play every game with a steel battalion controller
never gonna make it

Yoy said that gamepad is best for games like Sekiro but it's not, it's just one of a possible variant.

>What is a controller actually good for?
They make for good conversation pieces.
But no more seriously controllers are more comfortable for anything that isn't an FPS. They're comfy, but they lack the control, speed, and precision of M&K. To argue otherwise is just utter retardation.

i like to provide this as well : youtube.com/watch?v=YgHNtzxO0y8

Sekiro is an easy game designed solely for redditors to feel good, you can beat it with Donkey Kong bongoes

>here's your controller, bruh

Attached: 1564399398616.jpg (355x355, 13.52K)

The fact that you beat the game with any controller doesn't disprove his post about "gamepad is better". That's a false logic, he never said it was impossible. Joystick is still better.

Racing games
Twin stick shooters
Character action games
Playing games from your bed
Makeshift vibrator if you're a horny bitch on holiday who can only get a few hours of privacy a day and would have normal toys found in an instant, leading to awkward as fuck conversations you just really can't be bothered to have atm

How so?

I like using a controller for Resident Evil to make it a bit harder to aim

Why even reply if you have no idea what you're talking about?

>Yet whenever I bring up that I'm going to play a game with a controller, it's treated like an option of absolute last choice used by people with no sense.
What in the literal fucking hell are you talking about.

controllers are good for games like super meat boy, VVVVVVV, and emulators

If you're so fucking mad why don't you just fill up the thread with soijak posts?

I use a controller for literally everything but shooters. Even most of the slower strategy games I play have controller options now.

It just comfy man.

Are you schizophrenic?

here you go retard

>Joystick is still better
in what manner lol?

>What is a controller actually good for
i play everything with a controller even shooters unless its some autistic game like eternal.

>It's pointless in anything multiplayer
rocket league without a controller is aids.

Not quite what I had in mind. Doesn't seem they tried at all to make it ergonomic. Just seems like there's potential there for an actual gaymen keyboard instead of just slapping more RGB and mood lighting apps. But I guess your response is pretty much why no one bothered. Userbase is way too volatile for something so optional.

>playing autistic games
Lol

The signal from USB is digital, so the actual movements of the stick wouldn't be as smooth as the console gamepads'. True analog joysticks are connected on another ports, like serial.

Enlighten me, then.

All multiplats are best played with controller

Aren't controllers these days connected via USB anyway?

I began using a controller on PC regularly after I got an Xbox 360 an therefor had it anyway.

Kill yourself

on PC? yeah, and they suck

>USB
>Universal Serial Bus
all signals are digital user, unless you have an A/V jack in your PC

Even on consoles though. Heck, isn't wireless connectivity entirely digital?

no, they're fine.
