Some of Sony's top execs found out Naughty Dog included a 10-minute cutscene of lesbian sex inspired by Blue is the Warmest Color and thought it might be a bit too much so they inquired more, only to find out much of the game's plot revolves around that lesbian relationship.
General sentiment is that ND went too far sacrificing an engaging storyline and gameplay for the sake of a progressive agenda, so ND has been forced to cut most of that content out and now has to rework entire sections of the game for it to make any sense.

This is almost believable. It would explain why Ellie is sleeping in a strange place with just her top off. She was originally supposed to be completely naked because of the 10 minute munching scene. Sony said no. But they still needed to show off her muscular back and bruises, so now we have a nonsensical scene. Druckmann must be so pissed at the homophobic execs.

Naughty Dog are citing "logistics issues" as the reason for the delay. If they wanted to be more believable, they should have said there were publishing issues as these services have gone into lockdown.

No surprise that the devs won't even humour the idea of releasing a demo let alone a digital first release.

The game is one of the biggest titles of the generation, it was releasing at a strategic time, and it’s a certified GOTY contender because it’s Naughty Dog and they always deliver.

Games in China are a huge grey market and even though you can get a ps4 there the majority of the games you get are Hong Kong/ japan imports. The chances of the last of us 2 getting delayed due to China make no sense because. Even Nintendo who has an official presence via tencent only has like 4 switch games officially out in China.

I'll admit I like it for it's story, I'm a sucker for shit where you have some guy who is just fucking tired and gets stuck with someone he can't stand. And the combat, animations, and everything were enjoyable especially on harder difficulties. It just catches a lot of shit for the amount of cutscenes, meanwhile MGS is worse but because it's Kojima-weaboo shit it gets its dick rode every day. Not to mention the exploration is a lot better, especially compared to something like Max Payne 3 where there's a cutscene for going to another room--nothing like the exploration in MP1 and MP2

The game is made for normalfags who feel emotions not based on their own thoughts, but of what pop culture says you should feel. You not feeling anything is because you have standards higher than the standard 'turn your brain off and consume' mindset.

RE3 isn't as "on the nose" as TLoU 2 though, even though it deals with a virus. I would say TLoU has more realistic responses to an outbreak, including over-reactions and extreme unethical measures conducted by governments. Resident Evil's campy-ness saves it from being taken as seriously; ffs they nuke Raccoon City. It's an over-reaction, but a moon logic one. A soldier shooting a girl he thinks is infected? That's more grounded.

Kek. It's overrated. I never played it on PS3 and was told it was a must have on PS4. I stopped playing on my first play through and didn't pick it back up for months. It felt like parts of the game were too long or borderline. At the end I didn't feel emotional, it was like binge watching a TV series with too much fuller episodes. You are just glad you got to the season finale

Sony doesn't want to release their biggest game in the gen right now when the physical copies can't even be produced. And they already slowed down their download speeds, imagine what would happen if five million people tried to download TLOU2 all at once. It would be a shitstorm and a disservice to the game and everything would get spoiled because a lot of people wouldn't be able to play.
Sony doesn't want to ruin their flagship game and they'll release it when thing go back to normal three or four months from now.
