yea i love 1mb internet speed
wait no, i don't.
ALL MY OLD FRIENDS THEY DON'T KNOW ME NOW
I still have 2,5 mbit speed in 2020
1mb internet was totally fine at the time because the file sizes of literally everything were 0.1% of what they're now.
same
i hate britbong internet
I miss the banter.
what kind of assbackwards 3rd world shithole did you live in?
even in the late 90s dsl with atleast 16mb/s was a common thing.
yea I love watching 240p Youtube videos recorded on a video camera and having the videos buffer every 5 seconds
wait no, I don't.
i have 700kb now...
doubt it was common
also 2nd world country
i don't think i need to point out that's because everything was extremely lowres and compressed to shit but yeah I don't miss that
look at fmvs in ps1 games like legend of mana and soul reaver, they're extremely compressed
fuck you romero, where's that multiplayer game that you hyped on kickstarter a few years back

I don't fucking miss 2000s vidya
I do miss 2000s internet, though. When the autism was all so starry-eyed and naive. Now we just tear into each other over trannies and immigrants.
ytmnd came back up this weekend, fyi.
Hello, everyone.
2000s was the golden age of vidya.
the man who held NOFX afloat for all those years.
this fucking bgm
>Finished DS2 today
>Doing MM2 tomorrow
I think it's more reasonable to stay we miss the innocent experience of a new adventure in a fun world. An experience applied with our personality not driven by efficiency and completionism, but a deeper curiosity and satisfaction that comes from discovery.
Don't cling to the past, otherwise you get a toxic, ignorant community like OSRS, who herald a non-descript time of Runescape2 as "the best" while constantly asking for features that initially soured the RS3 community.
Go find your new adventure. It's not here.
monitors were only 1024*768
240p was adequate
I don't understand what happened to cause this era of efficiency, because it's not JUST adults, it's kids too. I wonder if our generation turned out so fucked up on a 70-30 basis, how's this generation gonna turn out, not being able to fucking interact with people even online.
I remember when the internet was just native english first worlders. Then the ESLs and poos came along. Now everything is horrible. Runescape is a perfect example, ruined by 3rd world botters and gold farmers. We can never go back to those days ever again.
Us ESLs always used the internet, but we used to have our own internet communities and websites. Now everything is gone, and we are forced to use English speaking websites if we want to use the internet at all.
RS without the bots would result in basic items that skill-ing and quests rely on being extremely expensive
The downside is they've ruined all the low-mid level money makers; the solution to both has always been cull the bots to the point the market and money making methods are acceptable
money snake killed osrs worse than bots ever did. You make more money doing zulrah than you do any other form of playing the game, so skilling is immediately rendered worthless.
>RS without the bots would result in basic items that skill-ing and quests rely on being extremely expensive
thats not a bad thing
but there's quite a large gap you need to cross to be able to kill $nek in erms of skills, gear and quests before you can do it efficiently, what does someone do until then?
Back in the day, cutting yews, mining coal or making clay was decent cash when the bot nuke dropped, but bosses dropping these items is also a huge hurdle to these as $ making methods, which they probably did to keep prices low to incentivize bots and help iron men
As a person I was retarded in the 2000s
But the culture, gaming, and everything else is better than the incomprehensible clown shitshow we have now.
>watching youtube videos
here's your problem
You don't really need that much to do him, the annoying slog of e void gear is probably the only thing that takes more than a week, because everything else has enormous xp rewards to get you up to that level nowadays. You don't actually have to grind out anything besides your ranged and magic, everything else can be gathered by enormous xp rewards from any of the shittons of minigames/low tier quests that hand it out, and snake has very low requirements, all things considered. You may have had a point if you said vork, but not zulrah.
yeah I guess I should have been watching 240p interracial cuck porn videos on Redtube instead.
I miss G4 and Cinematech and learning about obscure games through that.
I miss Xplay.
The lone zoomer in this thread acting like he knew what life was like back then.
retard projecting
do something productive istead of watching videos
Naw. 2000s was when rap was at its most mainstream appeal.
Not to mention the whole iraq war and global recession thing.
then what would you consider an accessible zulrah build in stats and gear
I'd rather work my minimum wage McDonald's job for an hour and buy $11 then have grind for more than an hour to earn gold pixels
Like posting chain reply posts on Yas Forums about flamenwerfers right?
another retarded projecting
I think you have brain damage
If the night sky is mostly clear, where is the rain coming from?
just play osrs
it's great
Well the war was more of an afterthought barring Bush memes on the internet. Also the recession only happened near the end of the decade.
It's hard to believe how old Bush-Bin Laden flash animations and games are, how long ago the internet felt carefree
Time to bomb Saddam
Time to bomb Saddam
Blow him to kingdom come
why even play runescape then to begin with.the whole point of the game is grind autism
>Nu-Slayerscape with private server tier bossing and "QoL"
Then why are you playing at all? The whole point is to grind. And we weren't talking about grinding bonds, just that once you reach zulrah (which is the #1 goal for any account that wants to actually make progress/money) the game is basically over. Skilling is pointless past what you need for quests, and you don't even really need to do much if anything because of other quests giving you assloads of skill lamps and just raw xp rewards anyway. in terms of budget builds most people do e void plus blowpipe. Is it MAX EFFICIENCY? no, but the point is that even if you're only getting 2 kills a trip instead of 4, you're still making more money than if you were 99 mining getting amethyst, or literally any other skilling. zulrah made all skilling worthless as it's all inferior. And not just slightly, zulrah is like 3-4x.
oh give it a rest!
>that linksys router
I UNDERSTAND THIS REFERENCE
>Make eco account that can profit from zulrah
>game is over
What about the quests, diaries and other things you can accomplish and experience as a new player or low-mid level account
You talk as if you've put a lot of time into osrs and can only think from the efficiency, money or bis standpoint rather than playing the game for fun, which it can be
So what is fun about all your methods of progression being inferior to money snake?
I get quests, sure, doing quests is fun. What isn't fun is grinding up all those skills that make almost no money, or even LOSE money because zulrah is so much better, or zulrah drops all the shit you'd get from doing those skills. It's like wintertodt, sure you can train firemaking another way, but why would you?
I feel like 2000s were the worst time for internet
>Get stuck at video game
>Check walkthrough online
>Pop Ups
>No adblock
>click popup away
>Redirects you to a new site anyway
>Get a virus because no browser security
>Turns out the walkthrough was actually a guy shitposting and fighting 50 fight in a row doesn't actually unlock a secret character
However the games were pretty good. Even a lot of flash games were fun
>In one more year we'll be as far away from the year 2000 as 2000 was from 1979
Shut up.
I FREE CLUB DAT CAWM
Haha yeah... who would have 1mb/s these days
This kills the boomer.
Ya think that's bad? Did you know that 2010 was 34 years ago? Feel old yet???
