Yeah. I already have anilist on japanese and I follow lots of japanese artists on twitter, but when it comes to reading manga I simply find it too much of a chore because of how slow I read. I basically need to OCR at least a word in every baloon. It's a painful experience and I end up not having fun.
Sometimes I just feel like giving up but I still do Anki and stuff out of routine.

Read more, as another user said. Do more shit. Play more vidya. You think you're doing well? Don't get too comfortable. There's almost always something you can do where you'll learn 100 or so fresh words in the first some days of doing it. That'll taper off as you internalize those new things.
Of course, if you're still in the early stages, you're fucked.

I improved a lot when I started getting actual physical manga (with furigana at first). Reading on a PC is too easy to rely on OCR/dictionary lookup. Don't read Japanese twitter, most of those messages and syntax won't make much sense to you and are super hard to parse, Japanese internet language (especially tweets) are completely nuts. If you can't deal with simple manga, you won't learn anything from twitter posts.
Everyone likes to recommend Yotsubato as babby's first JP-only manga but personally I find it quite meh. I recommend pretty much anything that is SoL (with furigana preferredly). My favorite when I was just starting out was Flying Witch, it has a bit of kansai-ben but you're not expected to understand it (not even the MC does, it's part of the joke). Grammar is super simple and modern, everyday situations.
Another one I really like (but doesn't have furigana) is Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan. It's super simple grammar with a lot of cooking-related language. It's about two step-sisters who cook all kind of delicious food and recipes. A lot of everyday language that is very useful to know, especially if you like Japanese cuisine.

Not him but if you're starting off I recommend reading stuff you enjoy or read before, rather than something you find difficult or a challenge.
I struggled for ages at the start cause I kept trying my hand at hard things to improve quicker it wasn't until I play pokemon or phoenix wright that I really understood how they translated things and jump started my learning since I knew what they talking about which helped me transition to japanese.
I highly recommend it, I know other people who did this in reverse to learn English.

I'd steer away from most of that stuff personally. Speaking from experience, it's just too easy to rely on those tools. Same as those browser extensions like rikaikun/yomichan, or those plugins that add furigana to every kanji on web pages. You end up relying on it so much that you become borderline helpless when you can't use those tools (like in real conversations, text on paper, etc)

Agreed, also watching anime/playing games you already know helps a lot. I've been playing FFVIII and re-watching Darling in the Franxx and comprehension is so much easier when you know already most plot points and more complex words.
Although I'd stay away from the older pokemon games because kana-only is pure cancer to read and is harder than it should be. I've played the latest pokemon (made sure to toggle the "kanji" option in the settings) and it's good for learning though.

I've read 最高 being used the most. 一番 by itself doesn't mean anything, you need to add a qualifier (一番what?).
Example: there's a manga called 僕の彼女は最高です! (My girlfriend is the best!)

How am I supposed to remember all uppercase and lowercase letters? I successfully memorized almost all lowercase and half of uppercase, but then you throw cursive in the mix and I can't read shit anymore. Why does English need to be so complicated?
