why do you hate this game so much?
Cyberpunk 2077
Go away shill.
How can I hate it if it's not out yet?
If it has the same writing quality as Deus Ex, I'll be pleased as punch. But so far I'm just uninterested.
it will be kino
Super Mario 64 & Bubsy 3D are both colorful 3D Platformers
How come Bubsy 3D is not considered one of the best video games of all time?
Contrarianism
Normies love it so much, no SJW screeching at CD Projekt can be even noticeable at this point so Yas Forumsirngins can't like it
The problem isn't any of those features; the problem is that they promised the opposite of all those features and then backtracked.
Nobody likes being lied to.
i mean this also describes for example Doom Eternal
very nice and irrelevant points
You forgot one difference.
Deus ex is old.
Cyberpunk will be new.
Old good - new bad.
Checkmate shill.
Yas Forums suffers collectively from a cognitive bias that places undue weight on negatives whilst complete undervaluing the positives. You've heard of "TORtanic syndrome" but that implies a sort of gleeful wishful thinking. I think a lot of Yas Forumsirgins genuinely want games to be good but Yas Forums has poisoned their brains to the point where nothing is good enough any more.
>the problem is that they promised the opposite of all those features and then backtracked.
I don't think that's quite right. You're going to come up with a powerpoint slide to prove me wrong but I think you'll find it doesn't quite say what you think it does.
if cyberpunk lives up to the vertical slice they've been showing in gameplay demos, it may very well end up being better than deus ex 1, but i just doubt they can do it. delays are a positive, but witcher 3 was about as much of a letdown as MGSV
This thread is extremely low quality.
TORtanic NPCs
It's made by cd projekt and I didn't like any of the witcher games
>witcher 3 was about as much of a letdown as MGSV
you can't be this retarded
the only letdown in TW3 was the graphics downgrade for consoleshitters, elsewise it was an awesome fucking game. The additional post-launch content upped it to near-perfection. Blood & Wine made it a 12/10 game.
it was more inch-deep and mile-wide than most open world games regardless
Chances it gets delayed?
Again? Very low.
I don't hate it, but a lot of the things that have come out about the project are worrisome and suggest it may end up being a drastically different product from what was initially advertised.
They initially didn't advertise all that much.
You know, if cyberpunk 2077 played more like dues ex and not another open world gta, I would be way more for it. It's gonna be shit though
>no dark, rainy, gritty, neon-filled city
I'm pretty sure Deus Ex had this
It does play more like Deus Ex than GTA
I wouldn't know I don't play old games lol
But it still plays more like gta does than dues ever will. So yeah, pass.
But, no. It doesn't. I just told you.
GTA:
>Third person
>No real stat system, no skills, character progression is cash and weapons
>Focus on vehicles
>Story is progressed in cutscenes
Deus Ex:
>Primarily first person, third person under certain circumstances
>Stats and skills, character progression, character skill influences weapon effectiveness
>No vehicles
>Story is progressed in dialogues
CP2077:
>Primarily first person, third person under certain circumstances
>Stats and skills, character progression, character skill influences weapon effectiveness
>Vehicles are present
>Story is progressed in dialogues
GTAV:
>Open world city shooter with first person and third person driving set in sunny California
Cyberpunk 2077:
>Open world city shooter with first person and third person driving set in sunny California
No dark rainy neon city? Wat? There isn't a single daylight mission in Deus Ex as far as I can remember.
Yes, and as my far more detailed comparison has shown, your comparison is so broad as to be meaningless.
Here:
GTA
>Has guns
Deus Ex
>Has guns
wow it's the same game!
If it's so broad name another game which fits that description
Wait until it's out user. While most of us think it'll be shit that doesn't mean we hope to be wrong. Although history has proved sfw intervention in games is directly correlated to their quality from a player perspective. Ignore metacritic it is a generalized metric that hardly represents the audiences views.
>Mirror's Edge
>can jump
>10/10 fucking amazing
>Fallout 76
>can jump
>0/10 complete garbage
wtf double standards much????
I can tell how shit a game is by the amount of danger hair feminists working on it. One = it's shit. More than one = holy fuck it's shit.
To be fair that box art is fucking shitty
Based CDPR listened to xer
>neon-filled city
I mean you do goto hong kong
Not really neon filled, no. But every level does take place at night.
TORtanic was alot of fun.
But in the long run it was bad for this board.
>Deus Ex
>Can change their looks
Huh?
i don't
but comparing it to deus ex is retarded
deus ex wasn't good because it was a first person shooter, because the main character had a fixed name and a voice, a customizeable appearance, no class system, or because it lacked a dark rainy gritty neon city (questionable desu)
those things were not what made it good, so trying to make some kind of comparison on the basis of those things is just stupid.
i don't know if cyberpunk will be good, the glimpses i've gotten look like it might be an ok game but i doubt it'll be an excellent one like deus ex was. deus ex was good because the writing was fantastic, the gameplay had depth, and the other elements like the atmosphere, world-building, etc. were all solid too.
>dark, gritty
Every level.
>neon-filled
Hong Kong
>rainy
Huh, got me there. Might have been too taxing or something.
The bloody baron questline alone had more depth than all of skyrim.
>the problem is that they promised the opposite of all those features and then backtracked.
Find me one major thing they backtracked on(you can probably find extremely minor shit being the autist you are).
>No dark, rainy, gritty, neon-filled city
Who's the retard who made this? 2077 has night time and rainy weather and plenty of neon signs around the city. They just haven't shown that combination in their marketing because they're focusing on getting that GTAV audience.
Jesus, you got me. I'll tell the bosses here at CDPR to cancel the project.
not him but I wanted third person
>danger hair
It was dumb when you called it "aposematism" because it doesn't actually work that way, but showing that you can't even spell a word with more than two syllables is just icing on the cake.
What you want and what they promised are two different things. I don't recall them every promising 3rd person was going to be in. Listen I might be wrong, prove me wrong, but a huge thing I've seen with contrarians on this shit is saying that CDPR went back on completely retarded shit that was never problem. Some nigga in a thread earlier was saying that 2077 not having VR was a promise that was broken for example. It's like that Shazam autist that has 90% of points being CDPR not keeping up with his head-canon.
found a blue haired landwhale
The comparison was originally made because people were saying CP2077 couldn't be a good cyberpunk RPG because it had those things. We know it's not what made Deus Ex good. But that means it can't be what makes CP2077 bad, either.
>Deus Ex
>no dark, [...] gritty [...] city
Besides, CP77's problems run deeper. It's a matter of overpromising and time mismanagement mostly. The game's been in development for 5 years yet it doesn't feel like it, and radically changing what you'd consider integral like they way cutscenes play out, how the main deuteragonist looks like and by who he's voiced, the removal of multiple apartments... etc. all 3/4 years into development speaks of a far larger problem. All I see are interviews upon interviews of promising features and "cool things" coming next yet we're a week away from the game's original release date and we still have close to no gameplay. Instead they show of artwork and action figures for months at a time as if someone genuinely cared. What's that, you want to actually know the game you're gonna pay for? Too bad, here's a redesigned V though!
The Deep Dive video sort of made it seem like a Deus Ex as in you'll have multiple ways to go through a "dungeon" depending on your skills. I really hope the game ends up being as good as it was promised and it captures that cyberpunk feel that's missing in the vidya repertoire. Guess we'll have to wait and see, but it's funny how they said they wanted to learn from TW3's marketing fiasco yet they're doing it far, far worse.
I'm a skinny bald dude but all right
found a bald white knight cuck
As much memes and "muh Ross" you might hear, Yas Forums likes the Adam Jensen games. Those are 9 and 4 years old respectively.
you can select the dentons' race at the start
>game 1
Has controls
You play a character
Jumping is viable
10/10 people like it
>game 2
Has controls
You play a character
Jumping is viable
0/10 why don't people like me shilling
you're trying way to hard zoomy.
you missed the point user.
They won't miss the chance to release a game based on Cyberpunk 2020, in 2020. It'll come out a buggy mess like TW3 before being released in 2021 I assure you. Can't even blame them for it, the 2020 meme date will be once in a lifetime given the PnP's name. Kind of like Skyrim's 11/11/11.
No one expects 2077 to have good writing or gameplay with depth so it could've been good if it had those things, so in that sense it is what makes 2077 bad.
sure, if people were/are saying that it's bad because of those things, that's not fair
>Mario
>Can jump
>Timeless and proven gameplay
>Sonic 06
>Can jump
>Innovation for the sake of innovation, no soul
Oh, was OPs image meant to be sarcastic or something
>no dark rainy neo filled city
>in deus ex
Have these idiots actually played the game?
>No one expects 2077 to have good writing
Why not? Everyone loved The Witcher's writing.
>or gameplay with depth
Got more depth than GTA.
Not quite, you gave us a random ( I assume ) vague elements of gameplay, while OP listed things that anons claim to dislike CP2077 for
but not dislike in Deus Ex.
>Named protagonist with a voice in Deus Ex is fine
>REEE WHY DOES CYBERPUNK HAVE VOICED NAMED PROTAGONIST
>Everyone loved The Witcher's writing
Sapkowski wrote The Witcher. Anything CDPR wrote by themselves is a cringe fest.
Third person perspective (center image, underlined in red). That's from 2012/13, before vehicles were even a thing, so no, they weren't referring to that.
Owning multiple apartments throughout the city's different districts. Regardless of how "Cool" you are, how much money you have or how connected to the Corpos you are, you'll always have the single, shitty apartment in Watson. Not like that's one of the things people complained about in GTAV because an open world with a single safehouse is shit
The monetization of the future multiplayer mode, because "we leave greed to others hurr durr"
Then as a side note you have them changing stuff that wasn't broken like Chippin' In or default V
You're just being contrarian now.
>Got more depth than a shallow puddle
nice goal there
