why do you like this game?
Sekiro

beautiful art direction, unforgiving fight mechanics, atmosphere, filtering DS shitters
Because I'm a fucking weeaboo who loves samurai games and the vast majority of them fucking suck or didn't age well
>beautiful art direction, unforgiving fight mechanics, atmosphere, filtering DS shitters
are we getting dlc?
>fun and satisfying
>good soundtrack and looks
>really nice prosthetics
>good theme
>excelent randomizer mod
No, next step is OOOOOH
is that the picture of your fetal alcohol syndrome?
I don't.
General gameplay is fun as fuck, and so are bosses.
I miss a bunch of stuff from DaS games, though
Sword fights, blood, fuck-all basic masculine story about beating shit to death even immortal gods. Cunny, techniques, unlockable moves. Evil ninjas(mortal kombat made theirs into super heroes.) cunny. Armored Swordsman, epic giant dragon fight. No handholding.
Compared to all other games in the recent years, it was hard to hate outside of maybe difficulty. Everything else just has to appeal to twitter
It has a cute shota
so you just started the game?
This. I would lick Kuro feet all day
It's like a three steps forward, three steps back kinda situation for me.
I think the prosthetics system kinda sucks in execution considering every tool requires spirit emblems. It honestly feels like a regression compared to Bloodborne in that way. I would have replaced the Axe and Spear with actual weapons and had the game involve countering enemies with slash/crush/pierce depending on type. Would've helped with the fact that you only have one main weapon too.
Other parts of the game are lazy too like making you fight the same mini-boss like 4 times but with minor romhack-style tweaks.
I feel like you should've had the sacrificial dagger from the start, like the sacrifice mechanic in BB. Likewise, I think the health recovery on deathblow skills should've been baseline as well.
Despite all this, I give it like a 8.5/10.
I love that feeling when I suddenly can deflect everything
Was I alone in thinking the translation was fucking awful?
I agree with everything. Also Mikiri counter is essential and there is no reason not to have it from the start
Based
nah I have it installed for months
No levels, no bullshit equips, no spells, no summons.
Just you and the boss.
Just look at those little toes so cute
fuck off.
Kuro is pure and he only belongs to rice loli
What is he reading
you should get firecrackers ASAP now
mmmm
Its fun.
BASED
cope
It's fun and has great aesthetics. Hesitation is defeat.
pedos
The core mechanics of the game are fantastic. One of my favourite action games. The combat is a ton of fun, and the posture mechanic feels great. Allows you to be aggressive through defensive actions. The constant switching from offense to defense generates a really nice flow. Then add a solid story, great art and sound design, and a generally polished game and you get a winner.
cool yooooooooooooooooooo game
I really liked Owl's design
>back and forth combat
>beautiful scenery
>great music
>contains some of the best bosses ever made in vidya (ape, isshin, divine dragon, true corrupted monk, owl, butterfly)
sure the characters and story aren't great but I don't play video games anymore for that. I play for gameplay and game feel.
me too
The only way they could make a good Star Wars game focused on lightsabers is if the combat is like Sekiro's. Screencap this.
star wars fallen order
Close, but it can be done better.
Have you played Jedi Outcast and Academy? Their lightsaber combat is probably my favourite combat system in any game but they aren't really anything like Sekiro.
>Code Vein

No. Describe it please.
Ghost of Tsushima
I'm not even going to buy that shit, it looks so unexciting. Also, samurai were cool with ninja shit! Many of the best ninja were samurai!
The direction and speed of your swings is decided by the direction you're moving in combined with whether you're in the air or on the ground. If your saber clashes with your opponent's, they rebound off each other in different ways depending on which two attacks each of you have used. You can roll under horizontal swings, run up & along walls and have unique attacks specifically for when you're doing these things.
Different force powers also help spice things up. Lightning is pretty self explanatory but it makes enemies go flying at ridiculous speeds if you have it fully upgraded. Push lets you throw enemies off ledges or onto the ground for a finishing move, pull lets you disarm enemies or (obviously) pull them towards you, choke deals damage over time and damages the enemy in proportion to how hard you throw them against surfaces, etc.
Probably my favourite part about it is that it feels oddly authentic (for lack of a better term) in that every saber fight can last either seconds or minutes depending on how you want to play. You can mess around and drag out fights to make them as cinematic as you like or you can capitalise very hard on their mistakes and end it quick. On my first playthrough of Outcast I killed the final boss in one swing and then reloaded to have a proper fight because I enjoy the combat so much.
This is a good showcase of it:
youtube.com
although it doesn't show any force powers.
I dont.
It's good but after my second playthrough I don't really wanna play more of it
Might do a shura run just to fight old man Isshin but I have to do everything else beforehand and ehhhhh it's just so boring now
>dead before arrival
Shouldn’t take you more than an hour or two to do a shura run if it’s on ng+. You can skip a ton of things.
t.ds2fag
It's probably the most polished out of From's games to be honest.
This
This design is so raw. Wish they would have went with this for the final boss instead of pajamas and a helmet.
How are people still asking this question
>masculinity story
Elaborate?
In most scenes the voice acting is pretty mediocre if not bad. The only one I enjoyed in the eng dub was Owl. The voice acting is way too fast.
>Sakura dragon changed to divine dragon
I wish he would get a bloodborne sequel that is like Sekuri in terms of storytelling and gameplay.
The movement and combat is so much more fun in Sekuri. I much rather have less weapons but more cool combat moves.
And they actually bothered with telling a story with cutscenes and dialogue instead „too deep for you item description“
The only problem with the Game is the difficulty, it‘s not „hard“, you can easily beat it by just cheesing the bad IA but if you actually try to play it in a cool fast way it can be unfair and frustrating
It’s pretty shitty at times. Messed up a bunch of simple stuff like O’Rin of the Water should be Rin of Mibu (same bloody kanji as Mibu Village how do you fuck that up?). And a lot of the formality in the language isn’t really translated across.
