While I didn't like her in the demo, I understood why she's that way after I played the games intro, a person who went through the hell she went into in the mansion, always being on edge, being paranoid about everything that has to do with umbrella will surely be like that, it's unrealistic to think otherwise.

I hated RE7, I think it's the only bad RE game with no redeeming qualities, and I thought REmake 2 was pretty boring, REmake3 is the best RE game post RE6, and I didn't expect it to be as good as it is, surpassing even the original in many aspects.

good question. This game actually changed my mind about remakes. After the RE1 and RE2 remakes, I thought that changing things up and keeping things fresh was the way to go, but after this game, I feel like Capcom went way too far in that direction, and now I'm not so sure about that. The orginal games were fun and campy, all the way up to RE6 and then the RE Engine started and shit got all serious and boring. Sure the acting was not oscar worthy but there are some of us who want a campy B movie over a star studded modern paint by numbers snoozefest. RE was endearingly remembered for it's charmingly shitty dialog as well as it's whatever else, but now that it's just shitty dialog nobody remembers shit about the dialog other than it being cringe. There is some charm to the awful acting and dialogue of the originals sure, but I have much more appreciation for RE7s style that starts out subdued and realistic but then escalates into madness. Ethan is one of the better protags RE has had and the villains were rich with personality as well, especially Jack who I don't know how anyone can not love. 2make is a kind of weird inbetweener with some really awkward line deliveries (mostly Leon) and some that are incredibly well delivered, so it's hard to place it. 3make feels very much like a 90s action movie with this russian sociopath villain, the cliche chemistry between Carlos and Jill, and all of the spectacle setpieces.
