Performance is incredibly inconsistent.
On some rigs it runs perfectly.
On other rigs you're lucky to get an hour of gameplay in.
And it really doesn't have to do with "get a better computer" either.

It's pretty stable for me, outside of save corruption it only crashed a couple of times.
Also, if you are looking for tier 6 armor, just marry Zoana, daughter of Lucon, and "borrow" it from her, she has a full set of tier 6 equipment, literally worth several hundred thousand gold.

From what I've seen they are bad, I tried having them follow me behind the enemy army, shooting at them from the back, and they did jack shit.

lol this save is full on savescum mode trying to break the game and doing stupid shit, (but still realistic damage).
I'm even using mods to overcome the ridiculously retarded smithing unlock system, I have part discovery rate at 100 times higher and it's still taking a shitload of time.
I'll do a more involved campaign with no reloads once the game gets more polished.

Archers need LoS to fire at all. If you have friendlies in front of them or in front of the enemy, they will not fire.

What game?

I had a really successful run with an exclusive tier 3-5 horse archer army. In my experience, they're the most effective when you leave them standing still, and then asking them to move to somewhere farther away when the enemy gets close. They function the same as you, so their aim is still better when standing still. Then you move yourself to flank the enemies so that they turn their shields against you. I only give the order to charge when the enemy's formation is broken. And in my opinion, the option to charge is better than asking them to follow you, since they already circle around enemies perfectly.

Does it matter what horses it is?
I have 53 regular horses

There are diminishing returns. Too many pack animals or horses will actually slow you down. No one has the numbers yet but rule of thumb has been about half your maximum party count

sumpter horses are just a better version of the mule so they dont help. Any horse with a riding skill check improves your party speed, honestly just stop by some battania villages raising horses and buy a bunch of ponies for dirt cheap

The menu with your denars + party size + other stats in the bottom right can be expanded by clicking on the arrow in the far bottom right.

If you bring your mouse over the horse icon it'll show all the speed modifiers. You can become faster by making sure you're not overburdened (more mules + sumpter horses) but you can also become faster by hiring 1 horse per soldier for the "footmen on horses" bonus. You also get a bonus for cavalry and begin losing speed (but not much) for having too many animals ('herd' penalty). You will lose speed for having prisoners (and that penalty is more significant).

Just remember that mules and sumpter horses are pack animals and won't help your speed if you're already under your weight limit.

It's much better than Warband in my opinion, just a bit buggy and in need of some balancing.

I have 50 followers, 30k money, no one wants to hire me as a mercenary. What do I do to have fun? I've done all the quests and every bandit group I can find is a lot weaker than mine.

Also are worhshops/caravans worth it after the updates? And how do you complete the "Folly" quest ASAP? I've been roaming and just getting lucky but still only 4 people.
