Started playing Half Life 2 again today. Ran through the canals earlier and finished Ravenholme a few hours ago. Didn't expect to get shook after playing through like three or four times before, but some of those zombies still got me. Playing on hard, wanted to see if I could reverse b-hop past the beach cause this is the one area in the game I genuinely detest because it feels like a slog, but, couldn't figure it out, so, i'll either learn tomorrow or suck it up and run it again.

Found out earlier that the new way to do patterns in Animal Crossing is you use a website to convert images (or draw your own I guess) and then you generate QR codes which you can scan with the mobile app. So it turns out you don't need to draw in game with a controller after all. I made a pattern of the best Mario character and made it my flag. The person who guesses it correctly wins nothing, or a Bunny Day merry garland recipe because I have an extra.

Looking at the guide for Harry Potter Mystery, there's probably a cracked apk somewhere, or you could always just emulate it on your PC and manually edit it with a program, but that'd require finding the variables and then making sure you've got the right one

What mods do you use to make it actually fun? I downloaded gog ultimate edition with all dlc, and went all in for melee character, killing everything ncr on sight, this game is retardedly easy, you can hack and slash every single ncr base with a machete, without any risk of dying. Unless you run into some cazadores, or maybe deathclaws you can slay any humans without efffort. Rifles are silly weak, you can survive a hundred shots or so, and the enemies can take more shots than melee attacks as well.

Learning how to play Starsector, bought it on a sale or something a while ago but it's been stuck in my backlog.
God damn do I suck at the combat and I have barely any idea what I'm doing. Running without any mods since i don't want to fuck with that until I feel comfortable with everything.

Marauders aren't so bad once you figure out the trick to beating them, kill all other heavies before dealing with him (Marauders usually show up at the start or towards the end, so there's usually only a few enemies to deal with)

SSG/Ballista them when they turn green, press Q to switch to SSG/Balista for another shot, press Q again to switch and shoot and you'll get in three shots and he'll go down after 2-3 times of doing that.

As far as I'm aware, the game never throws more than 1 at you (maybe on nightmare but I haven't completed that yet).

Add to this that the map is retardedly tiny, you can walk across in 15-20 minutes, and most sites are uninteresting, plently of uncrossable walls to fake it being bigger, and most of the map is nothingness. Locations are stupid, every shack or cave gets a map maker even if there is nothing of interest in it. Enemy ai is retarded. Fucking game sucks, I'm ashamed of ever liking it when it came out. Add to that all the retarded lefty messaging in the game. Fuck it, original fallouts were full of shitty politics, and tiny maps as well. 4 was the last one I played, shittier than all before, and with that decided to never touch anything new from the franchise.
