Why aren't you playing Rain World?

I already beat it

Was gonna make a thread. I got to Looks to the Moon. I heard that getting here would give you some direction or story or something, but I got nothing. I ate one of Moon's pod things and got the Stolen Enlightenment achievement, and now Moon is just laying on the ground depressed, so I guess I fucked it up.

Good news!
Now you can glow

I did notice a glow while under water. I didn't think much of it. I would've rather found out just what the fuck is going on and what I'm doing. But, I assume the glow will make Shaded Citadel easier?

I woul

So much easier especially if you plan to go deep down in there

The dark areas will be a lot easier. but Moon is mad at you now
you might find more of the pods in a later part of the game.
swallow one and bring it to her you want her to forgive you

Attached: sluggie.jpg (500x500, 20.14K)

How would I swallow one? Wouldn't I just eat it instead? And it's too late anyway, I already ate all 4 at this point.

Lmao time to go deep dark spooky time then if you want to advance the "story"

I just stopped playing. I'm on my way back down the wall

Welp. Not looking forward to going back there. Fuck the spiders. I wanted to explore Shoreline, because it's one of the cooler areas so far. I remember seeing screenshots of it, and I'm finally here.

Just watch out for the leviathan

Sure. I've seen it around, but it ain't found a way to kill me yet.

Is this a tkmiz thread?

Because it seems like it's really fucking hard and I don't tend to like hard games.

>play this for 10 hours
>dont' really "get" it yet
>dying in one part a bunch of times
>okay time to try really hard
>leave the nest and have a lizard drop on my head instantly and eat me
that's why

Only Red can swallow neurons. They're considered non-meat food.

It is hard, but unironically after about 20 hours the game finally started to click. I still die a lot, but I'm not really struggling with the controls or controlling slugcat, and I'm able to make consistent progress, whether that's filling out the map, or making a little further than last time before dying. And I'm super glad I stuck with it, because it's pretty great. Even when I was dying constantly and the game was overly frustrating, I still enjoyed the exploring and atmosphere and environments.

Everything gets better once you figure out how to stab lizards

This, also once you realize that the green lizards in the first area are actually one of the tankiest enemies in the game and that the later more agile lizards take way less stabs to kill.

Its funny when you pin them to walls or just chuck a rock and they fall to their death

You can stomach them as anyone so long as your hunger is full.

I would argue the best thing a new player can do is treat the starting zone like a playground to explore mechanics and combat. When you feel comfortable killing lizards, that's when you should move on. It runs the risk of boring them before they realize how much more the game has to offer though.

Where my fellow hunter bros at?

It does give you a new direction, but it will be hell getting there.

Not true.

It has parts of pure brilliance mixed in with pure frustration and rage. Spawns will usually change if you manage to kill/wound something and then hibernate again, and often it is better to just backtrack and go a different way, so you keep moving instead of bashing your head against a wall repeatedly. The game is pure bullshit at times.

WHAT'S THE NEW GAME VIDEO CULT

>The game is pure bullshit at times.
>three white lizards next to an exit
Shiet

make other things kill scavs

I only play with hunter and the mod to remove the time limit, the game is so much smoother when you've got double spears and can feed through combat.

>It does give you a new direction, but it will be hell getting there.
If you mean Shaded Citadel, that's how I got to Shoreline in the first place. The dark is annoying, but at least the enemies were sparse, but then again there were some areas I avoided that seemed like they'd have spiders.

I don't think I'd play it again without just a map that has the correct route to take, got tired of doing scouting-suicide runs.

Did enjoy getting a hang of the mechanics to spear everything to death but eh, not a fan of the obtuse progression.

How tight is the time limit to be able to actually beat the game? The limit is 20 cycles, right? I haven't beaten the game, so I don't know the best paths through each area, or even how many areas are skippable, or where I'm even supposed to be going, etc, but it seems like you'd spend a majority of those cycles just going from one end of an area to the other.

Protip spiders are terrified of your glow and can be avoided if you move fast

Cool. Now I dread going there much less.

Is that a Rabbid?

Oh there are worse things than spiders down there bud

Right, I guess since you killed her the little yellow thing has left you and no longer gives directions?
You are not that far into the game, honestly, I would start a new game and move up to the top of the wall first, before going down to moon. Take a quick glance at a map to see the direction, but don't read about the areas, and don't even think about going up the leg. Pic related, non-spoiler map

Going through shaded in the complete dark was the most tense and atmospheric thing in the entire game. Also, blue orbs are your friends.

>the wall
He's gonna get fucked

I'm not worried about the yellow thing. I only started following it in the Citadel because the icon changed, which I assumed meant I was close to Moon. I'd rather just fill out my maps and stumble my way to whereever. I guess I'll figure out the story on another playthrough.

I didn't find it that atmospheric. It's just black with not much to see. Tense for sure though.

Scavs are incredibly useful, and incredibly annoying at the same time. I spent a bunch of time helping them, giving out pearls whenever I could. Now they keep spawning around me, following me, clogging up every pipe and tunnel so I can't continue moving, piling into hibernation chambers and blocking me inside. Fuck these creatures.

It's the way you are supposed to go.

Seeing the spider fuzz creeping along the corners of your vision, having to throw mice to their deaths, desperately scrambling for scavenger orbs. One of the most memorable parts of the game for me.

Weren't they going to reveal something for the anniversary

i dont like exitential dread

I must admit that I should have tried that first to enjoy more the Hunter mode, but my autism forced me to go down with the intended masochistic way

Very tight to be honest since you only have 20 cycles and dying when you have no remaining cycles means pemadeath. Pic related is the route I used, so actual spoilers if you haven't finished the game yet.
I planned my route before starting the game so I could try to navigate as quickly as possible, skipping any unnecessary area, and not to use karma gates that require high karma (>3) because surely there was gonna be a lot of times where I ended with only one karma due to multiples fuck ups.

busy playing acnh

Because it's not very good and I've already beaten it.

ive finished my run on hard yet this screen didn't pop-up and no hunter ending im playing on pc?

it already passed so... no?

Yeah, there is no hunter ending on the pc version which is on patch 1.5, just the same ending from the survivor reused. Also you can see that screen by going to single player and clicking on statistics on the hunter file.

tokyo jungle reminds me a lot of this game, if you have a decent computer you can emulate it now

>announce that they are making a new game
>that's all
oh god just show off the fucking new game joar and primate you double niggers

you can swallow one of you're full

That seems quite stressful. I like taking my time and gathering up coloured pearls. Do you actually have to go to Moon before finishing the game?

Because I just got up.
I'm planning to leave Underhang tho, I've tried going to the left way to many times so I guess I'll grind and go top right.
This game can be pretty frustrating at times, but I like it a lot.

>slugcats are to busy ascending to make change
>scavengers are the only ones who will claim the world
>too busy being pussys to tame lizards and remove the vulture menace
>too dumb to get big brained by iterators
No rainworld 2 in an advance scavenger society boys

I believe it isn't necessary unlike achieving max karma to ascend.
Just did it because I wanted to give her the neuron and read the info of the lightgreen pearl the slugcat starts with since is the only one you can't see with the survivor.

It looks like an intimidating game.

Hello first time player here, trying to play without a guide.
I'm in the exterior but my explorer tree thing is missing two dots between the Leg and I believe the dark chapel place. Am I missing much ? I found the "friend" and I'm adoring the game and don't want to miss out on too much stuff. If anyone can tell me if I'm missing out on cool stuff without spoilers thanks.
Also how much of the game do I have left ?

just keeping exploring if you want a spoiler free answer the map loop into one another i end up going back to industrial on my blind run.

looks cool but i have too many games too play already
