they did their job
scamming the fuck out of whalepigs enough to support for the next version of the game or a mobile version

Lobotomy Corporation, their only good game

If you're the Angela F-List user, thank you so much

>gookshit
nope

I'm playing Elsword and I like it. I'm not sure if it's "good" but I liked playing through Laby's story recently.
Also this game, which is probably the best indie game I've ever played. Can't recommend it enough.

Pretty much all of them with the possible exception of 1 are still alive and running in both Korea and the US, so I'd say yeah
Both RO and MapleStory were magical experiences for their time

I miss Pangya
The PSP game was a lot of fun and got me into the PC version for a brief period of time

>no lineage

Only good Korean game is Witchspring and it's a fucking mobile game (albeit 10/10 one rivalling tons of DS/3DS games in complexity, mechanics, love put into it, storyline, graphics and waifus).

hyped for this

>MMO
why can't koreans ever make a game that isnt shit?

No. Korea is known for grindfest timesink games. You're not playing because you enjoy it, you're playing because the game tricked you into thinking it was an investment.

>All that online only, p2w shit
Jesus Christ no the only good games Koreans have made are the first three Kingdom Under Fire games and they even royally fucked that franchise with their MMO p2w schemes.

Fuck Korean developers even hue-monkeys, argies, urgayans and beaners have made more and better games than them.

Tera was the best MMORPG I've played in terms of gameplay.

>Only MMO and gachashit

I enjoy going full fashion in Korean games, so yeah, I guess they did.

Sometimes their manhwa can be good. Pic's manhwa not related.

Grindy p2w shit
At least they're not scared to have big titty characters

manhwa is so jarring since you have so much webtoons shit like this, and then you have absolute kino like The Breaker at the opposite end of the spectrum

porn animation of this is pretty meh

>pay to use more than 4 skills at a time
They discarded that years ago and you can use up to 17 skills at once now, with 8 unlocked by default, 2 unlocked with a class quest, 1 being the hyperactive slot, 1 being the MC skill, and 5 being Force skills.

Oh, well that's nice.

Entire universes better than Mexicans

>Nothing but SOTN clones (KSP being the sole exception) while pulling the "we're indie and latino, you HAVE to buy our games" card all the fucking time

no, they took away my sexy chibis

Attached: chibis.jpg (2152x3920, 1.91M)

sauce?

So why did Maple story 2 fail?

>in-game footage

literally how. This looks better than any other game on the western and jap market

You can also use the V skill on the side, so 18 skills if you count that. But that's just a small buffer.

Love RO and DFO, don't care about the rest.

Is S.Korea still putting down the boot on video games there?

Lobotomy Corp is the only good game K*reans have ever made.

Soulless dressup sim.

Opinions on Vindictus and Mabinogi anyone? Mabinogi is a hell of an aged grindfest but it has some unique charm and systems to it for some reason. Vindictus seems like a cool concept and I'd hope to see other similar things with tighter combat.

the gameplay was fucking horrendous and they didnt do anything to fix it. so the entire objective of the game became "buy all these new seasonal outfits we keep releasing instead of updating the actual game" and people got bored of playing dress up

this, and i rather have retards spending shitton of money on this than spending it on e-thots.

What a poor selection, try some of their older stuff
>Fortress 2
>War of Genesis III
>Seal Travelers of Destiny
>Kingdom Under Fire: A War of Heroes

I’m convinced there’s no art in the Korean’s soul, they’re like Americans in that regard.
Sure, they may be capable of producing a polished product, but that product will always be sterile, lifeless, utterly devoid of substance.
The Chinese will put out a dozen masterpieces before the Koreans are capable of making even one game approaching kino status

Don't play Nexon trash

Gooks love their GRINDAN

I heard white day is pretty good. Haven't played it though.

Lobotomy Corporation

Soul got traded away for competitive drive when Starcraft rolled around.
But you're not entirely wrong, the country's entire roots in the modern age is about greatest returns for very little effort, we're shallow as fuck as a country and our society promotes it.
The self-deprecating memes are pretty funny though. It involves a lot of our presidents

Gameplay was boring
Going from sidescroller to isometric was a terrible choice
Story was absolute shit (normally wwuldn't really care because I didn't care much for MS1s story either, but it had a much bigger focus in this game)
Making it too easy to hit max level; only thing awaiting players was a mindless gear treadmill with gacha elements thrown in
Tried to cater to certain parts of the community, leading to issues arising
Speaking of the community, it was absolutely garbage; like people trying to trick new players with false info to fuck them up

The only good part of the game was the ability to customize weapons/clothes and the music system
Should've just been a dressup mini game chatroom and not related to Maple at all

>Elsword
Game used to be fun when it was at its peak 2-3 years ago where F2Ps could actually catch up with the game's content. Now endgame pretty much depends on how much money you can throw into the game and how lucky you can get when upgrading weapons using said money.

What did you expect from a country that idolizes Americans? Their whole society is all soulless corporations trying to make money just like how the USA is.

What about webtoons?

>Chinese
>Soul

Naaah maan.

this game lacks so much fucking soul its painful.

Mabinogi was a great game
Only one of the few MMOs that gets the "You can be anything" thing right
It was unfortunately ruined by its Gacha system

>War of Genesis
>MapleStory
>Ragnarok
>Nexus TK
Korea has jack shit for games they made that had an impact in their scene. MMOs are even seen as a waste of time there, comparing the usual epic grind on DFO to studying for a big exam.

I've spent at least 10 years on Korean made games because they were f2p, and can say they are the same shit everytime. It may look good, but you'll feel like shit after playing it.

Forgot to mention the only one worth playing that they've made, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School

Also here's your obligatory soundTeMP post in a korea thread

If you think that then I don't think you know what "soul" is. The game not only failed a kikestarter, they also got scammed out of translation money. Yet they still persevered, and poured their hearts into making it a damn good game. Additionally, instead of just shitting up the game with backer rewards, they made them into fitting parts of the game to the point where they're indistinguishable, and put in a button to shut them off anyway.
Everything in the game is hand-drawn and it has a legitimately good story under that ESL fan-translation they accepted in light of the scamming they received.
It is the very definition of "soul." It's had not only the devs hearts and spirits poured into it over many years, but the efforts of supportive fans as well. Fuck you.

I miss gunbound

C U N N Y

Has that country made any single player games, besides Magna Carta?

Are all korean comics like this? It started out relatively normal with an office guy just trying to find his wife in a bug infested world and by the end of it he became god of the bugs with a super serum and his wife transformed into queen of the bugs. Also there's rape every other page but not by the bugs.

Attached: 1577982233936.jpg (510x510, 163.41K)

Koreans really love rape and beating women for some reason

There's three here
