low budget projects are usually free of Squeenix BS for some reason.

Less budget means less necessity for the "wide appeal" that focus-tests games into tepid porridge. I'm buying this game twice and not even looking at the others.

Do it right? It plays like a $20 dollar RPG. And the English dub is a steaming pile of shit

I think you meant to post Xenoblade

>using dub

Cringe

>How did they do it lads

by making it a proper remake and adding new content.

None of this reboot shit like REmake3 or VIIR with

>low budget projects are usually free of Squeenix BS for some reason.

You might be on something

>>this is the only one that gets it right
Really? I know you are weeb but game looks like cheap mobile shit.

>turn on jap voices
>after awhile actually start missing EEE!

The reason is simple. The company isn't putting all their financial hopes on it so the higher ups don't meddle in it. The game was probably made for like $1-2 million so they only need it to sell about 25,000 copies to break even. And this game will probably sell around 500,000 copies. Let's theorize it sells 300k at full price ($40 profit for Squenix) and then the other 200k at bargain bin prices ($2 million). That's $14 million net profit - $2 million production cost to get $12 million gross profit. The game would make 6 times its production cost back. Sure, it's not making Final Fantasy money. But Final Fantasy VII is not making 6x it's production cost back, since it's original production cost is so high.

And this is why gaming as a whole should go back to medium budget projects. Especially SquareEnix.

I am less interested in playing after the demo. Looks like a late PS2 game, jank animations and all.

Nigga I played dark cloud 2 a few days ago. This is PS3 and 360 tier.

Okay, then don't.

All the datamined stuff from the previous thread has actually gotten me pretty excited.

>Angela has butt jiggle
HNNGGGGGGG

stuff got datamined?

A crap ton of stuff. Descriptions the 4th classes, items, dialogues, abilities and a bunch of other spoilery stuff.

just give me a short response. Do they feel natural with the game or do they feel shoehorned in?

I wonder what the Anise fight will be like.

Nothing seemed super out of the blue it still seems like the original but expanded.

cool.

Seems like they put more effort into this than VIIR or Secret of Mana remake

Way less ego involved.

What are you talking about user they put A LOT of effort in VIIR. Now if thats a good thing or a bad thing I'll find out soon enough.

some of the VIIR stuff looks nice, like expanded Wall Market.

but the stuff with the ghosts that are the embodiment of "CHANGE BAD" and similar stuff seems odd

Final Fantasy always has to put in some meta or subversive crap to make it seem deeper than it is. Otherwise, it would just be a flashy anime game (which it is anyway but the plot twists and melodrama fool enough people into thinking it's more.)

>red AoE warning markers for every enemy special attack

It would have been so much better if they just made the attacking enemy flash instead of doing it that way

HELLO?

ETHICS DEPARTMENT?

It would be fine if they didn't give you like 10 seconds to evade the attack. Some telegraphing is fine. Painting a big X and waiting long enough for a toddler to notice and react is a bit much. I'm hoping later enemies get a bit more challenging.

You probably were not even born when PS2 released, let alone play on one, shut the fuck up.

My only experience with the original was an extremely poor translated version that was borderline unplayable, so I didn’t make it too far. What’s the general consensus of the game compared to Secret of Mana? Better or worse?

Better. Not as kino as Legend of Mana

Better, both in terms of the originals and the remakes.

Evermore > Secret > SD3

Is Square-Enix taking feedback from the demo?
They need to make enemies attack much more frequently, that is my only gripe with it, I fucking love everything else. The game really benefits from going 3D and towns are super comfy

Assuming I'm likely only to ever play one of the two, should I play the original or the remake?

Hello, what seems to be the problem here?

Combat wise I like the remake a lot more, magic feels kinda shit in the original, both when you are the caster or the one receiving a magic attack.

I have not encountered an evermore hipster in a long time.

SD3 suffered from some horrible bugs (even more than SoM which had it's own nasty bugs) but was a better game overall. The one thing I felt it was missing was being able to switch weapon types with each weapon having it's own attack styles and charge up attacks, and often had more than just attack stats on it. SD3 weapons were just.. more numbers unfortunately.. but the classes and class changing were cool.

This remake adds in new abilities that you can slot which makes the class system even better.. and I don't remember in the original having equipment with effects like making you immune to status effects like Secret of Mana, but in this remake there ARE accessories that do that.
So this remake is a vast improvement on the original SD3. The only thing worse so far that I know of, is that Angela doesn't bend over and slap her ass anymore.

Are there any images that'd make a good portrait-oriented wallpaper? I'd like something like the scenery in pic related, but without the characters.

I'm filing a police report.

Well it also sucks that the enemy spawns are static. The original had some randomization

Sorry lad, all the portrait friendly images I've seen feature the characters. Personally I fucking love all the artwork we have gotten since Collection was released but I see it's not what you're looking for.

Secret of Mana looked like mobile shit, this is miles better.

>low budget makes high soul
The secret is finally exposed

user pls. Until someone gets to the endings in the full game, we have no idea if they had fucked it up or not.

Have they shown pakkuns in this game yet?
I want to see their attack animation because reasons.

Who's the best third for each pairing? For Duran/Angela I'm using Carlie for the traditional party composition. Kevin/Carlie I was thinking Duran or Hawkeye? Hawkeye/Reisz, go damage with more Duran or Kevin?

these?

It's not in any version of the remake, retard. None of the versions have anything the others don't.

From what I saw in the demo, you can play the entire game with no healer at all. Enemies don't attack fast, you have a dodge, and the first boss didn't actually target anything, he did aoes that you avoided orange markers on the ground like a FF14 raid boss. If the entire game is like that you can play on hard with no healer easily.

Not quite but that was still a fun watch, thanks for sharing!

honestly I am having trouble finding a reason not to take Riesz as the 3rd member of every party, just for buffing or debuffing.
Mostly because she's the only character that can use stat up spells, in her light classes, vs having to use inventory slots for scales.

The written text is just as bad.

Go fuck yourself zoomer

This complaint better not be about Charlotte
