Does your father play video games?
Does your father play video games?
No he hates that I play games
NO!
F
Why?
He used to. Him playing old NES and SNES games was my foundation.
What games did you play together?
He used to play arcade games and the multiplayer for whatever games I had, but I can't get him to play anything else. It sucks because it would probably fight the medication-induced dementia that's turned him into a turtle-speed idiot.
Yes, he showed me a lot of classic games on PC like Duke Nukem 3D, Starcraft, Diablo, Half-Life. Too bad he didn't stick around.
No. He never did, and he never expressed any interest or support. He was utterly indifferent to my enthusiasm, and generally disparaged me for it.
he used to, actually he was the one that introduced me to games as a kid, he doesn't have time for that now tho
>already in his 50's when Chris was born
boy do I feel bad for Robert, but it might be a good thing he never lived long enough to see the last of his sperm become a tranny freak
he used to play Tiger Woods golf on PS2
yes, he genuinely enjoys playing them. mostly racing games, even tho he's terrible at them. when he gets on Steam before me he's mostly playing euro truck simulator. if he sees me online he always asks to play trackmania.
he likes to race with me. he's a cool dad. even joins my stream to watch me play.

Enjoy while you still can lads
He plays more vidya than me
Always fps games
Rarely
He can still beat me at street fighter 2 though
He's been playing Solitaire for like five hours a day for the past ten years. Used to complain that all my games were 'just about shooting guns' too, lmao.
Haven't talked to or seen my father for over 20 years, but no, back then he didn't play games.
Yea has a pretty good rig been playing Everspace, his favourite game is Morrowind never finished it since he had the 1.0 Sunder glitch got into games.
He played all the way through Earthbound on his own motivation when my family got a SNES Classic. He loved it, thought it was hilarious. I gave him advice when he got stuck and even hacked the Wii to put Mother 3 on it in case he was hungry for more. Unfortunately he thought it wasn't the same and didn't get as into it. It's too bad, he never makes time for video games except maybe Link to the Past when I was a kid and mysteriously MySims Kingdom on the Wii.
He got me into games*
Sorry tired lol i should probably sleep
>wasn't the same and didn't get into it
your dad has excellent taste.
he doesnt, but he encourages my hobby even when I was past 18 he would still gift me games from time to time.
my dad was a huge fan of old fps stuff like marathon, quake, doom and cs.
No, but he used to take me to the one filling station that had a pinball machine.
I don't deny it, but I really wanted him to experience the story of M3. I'll tell him about games that I'm into and how good the story is and I wanted him to get that first hand. I'm still really happy he played Earthbound and had a great time with it.
Is there an alternate timeline where Chris was saved or was her always doomed?
What happened, user?
No my dad is kind of a Luddite which is ironic cause he’s an architect
Dad played solitaire and aLttP on the SNES. Now he plays it on his iPad.
The easiest way to save him would’ve been to send him to the Military but that option is long gone desu
>Chris as a skinny innocent kid
>Kino/comfy picture
Goddamn. It's amazing how a person can just devolve as they get older. He's completely unrecognizable at this point and the amount of abuse and geriatric shit he's put himself through is insane.
idk what happened to my dad;it's like he got replaced with a fucking skinwalker
>got me doom tekken 3 spyro collection megaman 8+x1&x2, and x6, and even got me MGS
>dad now not only doesn't acknowledge video games;openly makes fun of anyone who has ever played them
>dad who used to have me sit in his lap, and watch him play spyro for hours
fuck timelines
>be 10
>visit him with my sister (she's 10 years older)
>same shit like every month
>suddenly hear screams from the living room
>he's beating up sister
>no clue what's going on
>grab the nearest object I could find (I think it was a vase or something)
>hit him over the head with it
>he lies on the ground unconscious (he was probably drunk too)
>we flee to our moms house
>tell her what happened
>we cut all ties to him and he never showed up at the house either
To be honest I don't even know if he's still alive and I don't care either. We moved city a year later too and that's the end of the story.
you should get those racing sim car controls, and play asseta corsza with your dad;he'd cry from the thought of drift-practice, and rally practice.
"Video games" implies a plural. So I suppose not really.
I don't think we played anything together. I just know we had those systems because he played them before, but they were basically handed down to me. But later I did play Super Mario 64 or Mario party with him sometimes. Or Mario Kart.
We played through a bunch of virtual console stuff like OoT, Majora's, SM64, and Super Metroid as well as Wii classics like SMG1+2, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros etc. I know I'm a dirty zoomer but I'm happy I was able to experience classic games growing up. He hasn't played a game in close to 13 years though (I'm 20 now)
>hit him over the head with it
>he lies on the ground unconscious
I thought this only happened in games and movies
It's really easy to knockout a drunk person.
I remember him making me custom AoE2 maps on weekends so instead of saturday morning cartoons I'd be playing games. He used to recruit me and my sister to press potion buttons for him when he fought bosses in diablo as well.
The best memory was when we bought two crystal pokemon games and played at the same time. We ended up battling at the end of the game and he mercilessly toxic-stalled me with his skarmory.
He picked up League when me and my friends played it after I finished highschool though he and I have both been single-player enthusiasts at heart and he's picked up Skyrim a few years ago and hasnt stopped since. He's working a tough job so it's not like he gets to play much though.
no he hates them and actively makes fun of me because of them STOP calling me names dad
No,infact he's responsible for getting me into games.
>he had a computer during the early 2000's and was damn good with pirating games
>my first game on that PC was a 2d Duke Nukem game
>he would always guide me through hard levels
Beat up your dad.
I wish I had 5 years ago before he was diagnosed with cancer.
moral of the story
never pass up an opportunity to beat the shit out of your asshole father
you'll regret it eventually.
Dad smoked and drank himself to death.
He did, however, help kickstart my life on the internet. When I visited him every 2 weeks, I was given access to a shitty Win98 machine with dialup internet, while he and his new wife drank downstairs. Spent days on Newgrounds until I graduated onto here and never left.
Not really. My dad calls every game "shoot 'em up", except for Punch-Out, which is "Glass Joe". My grandpa however is a huge fan of RTS games. I remember watching him play Age of Empires II and Starcraft when I was a kid.
My dad plays games and his dad does too. My grandpa isn't very good anymore but he still likes to play with my dad.
My parents were both fucking hardcore gamers in the 80s and 90s. They had pinball and arcade machines in the house when I was a toddler. I remember them grinding Castlevania for weeks and celebrating when they finally beat Dracula, only to find out he had a second form. I was that kid in school who had both a Genesis and Super Nintendo.
They both kind of fell off the wagon by the 32-bit era, though my mom still plays Animal Crossing. They both still like pinball and go to conventions. Now that we have a Round 1 in the area, they've stopped by a couple of times and are getting back into the arcade scene, but more casual/redemption game stuff.
>except for Punch-Out, which is "Glass Joe"
Fuck, this is my dad exactly. He does it on purpose.
Pops used to play the James Bond games back when, right now he seems to like Darkest dungeon
>"Hey dad, lend me a few bucks to buy a comic book?"
>"Comic book? You are still at that age where you still read comics?"
>"It's not really a comic book, it's a Japanese comic book. Sort of different. It's actually called manga."
>"It's not hentai, is it? If it is, lend it to me after you read it. Here's 20$."
I never followed up that conversation. If my father name drops some shit like Asanagi, I'm literally killing myself.
My dad has probably beaten need for speed carbon/most wanted more times than he can count
>I'm racing for the children!
My dad raped my sister.
My father's dead, but I found The Neverhood in his stuff, so he must have had good taste.
Yes, but did he play games?
why would you lie on the internet?
He stopped after I absolutely destroyed him playing tekken 3, he was an eddy spammer. I was like 10 years old.
He only likes Destruction Derby on the N64.
used to play racing games together like Forza but not much anymore
Used to, back in the ps2 era we used to play together a lot as well. Good times
