Not really? You have full-fledged buildings made of processed wood and carved stone on your third day. By the end of the first week all pretenses of the island being developing are gone, the plaza becomes fancy brick and mortar.

I never thought about it, but if one day I want to start a new city what do I need to do? Delete the game and save and then install it again?

Animal crossing really helps me cope with my gender dysphoria. I can't get my bottom surgery done till next year ,but at least I'm filling out nicely.

Now that I finally have pathing and landscaping tools, this AC is shaping up to be my favorite in the series. I finally have a use for so many furniture sets I previously ignored. The deserted island portion would have been completely okay if they just had more than a single music track for a literal week minimum.

You can only invite one islander a day regardless of how many plots you have open. Once you invite one there won't be any more until the next day.

How long do I need to know them before I can gift

Is City Folk really as bad as people make it sound? I thought it was full of content as the last of the "classic" (style wise) Animal Crossings.

Dude, you have more control over it than any previous game. Place a lot, go to the island until you find someone you like, break out the chloroform rag and drag their sleeping body back to your island-- I mean, ask them to move in. Once you reach max capacity you can even evict villagers.

The NPCs seem to be happy when I leave their home. Is this just the standard animation or do they really dislike me and celebrate when I get away?
I usually ignore them, maybe that’s the reason?

One of the main reasons I got this game was to talk to cute fluffy carefree animals and it's pretty fucking annoying how it's just 8 scripts shared out to 300 characters.

The only thing NH has done for me at this point is make me want to play NL again, so probably not.

everybody has the same rate of showing up
but if you do like collecting, there are "sets" of animals
like the set of "robot" animals
the set of "hero/sentai" animals
and so on and so forth

You are going to be able to connect to the internet for updates since so much content is being dripfed to us, but that doesnt require NSO.

Not really. More than anything the novelty and charm of them was used up after the GC and they never really tried to make up for it. If anything its gotten worse and even more simplified.

Get Population Growing or Wild World. I heard City Folk is similar to Wild World, but I haven't played it personally, so I wouldn't know.
