That's Skyrim. All the dungeons loop back to the beginning in a manner where you can't travel back. usually with either a sheer drop or sometimes with a hidden door. Never missed the rewards though. You might have autism.

I wasn't thinking about Skyrim ? Are you retarded or something ?

>game has large roster of spells that cause elemental effects
>most enemies are immune to elemental effects
>mind control only effects the most weak grunts

He's right tho.

>falling down through a screen transition instantly kills you even if there's an area right below it
doesn't get worse than this

>friendly AI is mandatory and either useless/OP

>RPG
>Store doesn't show preview of changed stats on your character(s) when looking at equipment to buy

Are you retarded? OP wasn't talking about Skyrim, how could be right?

Dishonest Game Design

>The entire game is an escort mission
>The guy you escorts walks a bit faster than you when you walk but still too slowly for you to run

>Melee combat is absolutely the strongest thing in the game
>games hit boxes and detection for melee is so bad you have a 30% of landing a swing

unrepairable weapon durability

>clothing store doesn’t let you preview the clothes you’re buying

>Consumable items don't have a description of their effects

>game caps at 95% hit because >muh d20
>permanent missables

>weapon store doesn’t have much inventory for 40% of the game

>game autosaves as soon as you pass the invisible wall
>there's only 1 save file so you can never go back
>the item unlocks the true ending

>Game has a variety of elemental spells.
>They don't do anything different, just different coloured magic.

>full of interesting and effective debuffs
>near enough one-shot the only enemies that can be affected by them
I fail to understand how this happens.
I get that debuff stacking can be game breaking in cases where it does affect stronger enemies, so just design it so you can't completely wreck the game by limiting how the debuffs work or something god damn

almost anything that happens underwater

>he's retarded because he can't read your mind over the internet
You didn't even give him a chance in person! What's your address???

Darksiders 3 did it right (mostly).

>escort dies at the end of the game
>you have to find all of the hidden magical herbs to save him and get the good ending
>the herbs don't spawn on your first playthrough

>AI party members will pick up consumables
>The game doesn't tell you when they do
>The AI will use the most expensive health items first, even to fix glorified papercuts

>Jrpg
>Have to choose between drops or EXP
>Cannot choose what enemies your character attacks
>Sprinting takes away HP
>Party member dies in story. You do not get the equipment he/she was wearing back
>You do not actually fight the big bad boss the game hypes up
What game am I thinking about.

nu-games aren't doing it for me
for example in I am an emotionally stunted thirty year old still playing video games which are geared towards kids and then I complain about this on an anonymous messaging board please end my misery

>can't control AI
>The AI will regularly run into groups of enemies you can't deal with without planning

Holy shit, this picture stresses me out

Or you could try fixing yourself
Otherwise if you're gonna be a degenerate, don't whine about it and try and make it other people's problem, or for attention

Why are you still using that picture?
Just take any screenshot of battleborn for the same effect.

>Not having awaken your psionic abilities in 2k20
lmao, mindlet

>I think this thing is annoying in some games
>I've never had this issue in Skyrim

Good reply

Psionic Hockeyball 2k20 is my favorite sports game.

>game has permanent missables
>NPC makes a big deal out of unlocking every chest
>your reward for successfully doing it? "You unlocked every chest? Wow, congratulations!"

>lots of skills with stuns, poison, and other secondary effects
>bosses are all immune to them, to defeat the bosses you just hit them until they die

>game shows a chest earlygame you can only access way later when you have a new ability
>contents is a handful of gold coins that is a tiny amount by that point

Damn near every single dungeon in Skyrim has a goal item at the end. A reward. Right before that there is almost always a one-way path back to the beginning. If you take that path when exploring you often get locked out of
You know what, fuck it.

Why would not go get the precious item immediately?

>game has a ton of offensive magical spells and items that you can collect and buy
>they never get used because they take forever to activate in the menu and your melee weapons are powerful enough anyways

random forced stealth segments interjected at the worst possible points in the game, with a different character you don't know or care about whose personality is in no way endearing and gameplay is in no way engaging.
god i fucking hated ps4 spiderman

Half Life Alyx does this shit constantly. You think you're just exploring, then you jump down and are forever stuck without an option to go back up.

Pokemon is unironically one of the only games where status effects actually work against the "bosses" instead of having to rely on only self-buffs and attacks.

>press A to pixel hunt
>also press A to trigger a small minigame on enemies, and waste 1 whole second if you "miss" (which pixel hunting falls under)
Avalon Code, why?

FUCK! I HATE THIS SHIT.

10/10 totally triggered

Pokemon doesn't have bosses, and this statement isn't true, there's plenty of games where they work

Don't go jumping down holes dummy

The game might condition you to expect mandatory events once you grab items in obvious places, and then OP's map breaks away from it.

That's why he used quotes and said one of the only

> no quick saves
> get in a place with tons of health/ammo/shits before a hard large battle
> game autosaves before you pick any of those up so after each game over YOU HAVE TO PICK UP ALL THE SHITS ALL OVER

>'do you want to save the game?'
>yes
>'Check save file'
>'saving will overwrite your existing save file is this ok?'
>no is always selected as default
>in a fucking game where you can only have 1 save and are always progressing

Attached: Battleborn.webm (960x720, 1.72M)

>grab obviously important item
>cutscene triggers

Name 7 other series where you can actually use all the status effects on bosses

Attached: tips ever so slightly.png (544x598, 427.75K)

>try to quit
>Are you sure? any unsaved progress will be lost
>the game has no manual saves
>The game autosaves on quitting anyway

Attached: 1583264156666.jpg (700x700, 21.94K)

>hit MJ with the uglystick when making her smoking hot wouldve made those segments a lot more bearable

>game has checkpoint system
>also has a save option
>save option just saves your last checkpoint, not your exact position
>your last checkpoint is saved the moment you reach it
>saving has 0 value

>item upgrade service asks for 1 random item
>from anywhere in the game
>even if it's in the final secret dungeon that's easier to unlock if you upgrade your items often
>if you save after you realize said item is that rare, there's no rerolling
Fucking Shiren 3.

shop with extra lives
> are you sure you want to buy this?
>> before you even have the option to choose yes, you have to WAIT until the whole message is shown on the screen
> YES
> ok! you just bough an extra life
>> BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN CHOOSE TO BUY ANOTHER LIFE YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THIS MESSAGE "APPEARS" FULLY AND THEN WAIT UNTIL
> are you sure you want to buy this?
>> APPEARS FULLY AGAIN

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

>try to quit
>no quit game option from pause menu
>have to load back out to main menu,
>have to sit through the title cards and skip opening movie
>have to then press a button to get past title screen
>quit game isn't even part of the main menu its a mapped button press
