Mediocre game

Still waiting for the 80% sale

I did, and it fucking sucked. Its a disservice to jrpgs and the magical girl genre. Between this and Nights or Azure its super clear the BR got the short end of the stick in budget and care.

Because I pirated it and it was kinda bad.

Nights of Azure was also super low budget and a pitiable amount of care.
Supposedly the sequel is a lot better but still retains much of the original games problems.

Personally I am still confused about Lesbian Rape Pope.

Because there was no straight porn to be found

But I did, twice with the artbooks as well. I enjoyed it for what it is.

I bought it on sale. Beautiful art style and soundtrack and I liked the MC but those can't help the sleep inducing gameplay.

I can play lesbian masterpieces for free

Because I pirated it first to give it a shot and to install the nude mods. Turns out the game was kind of boring.

Music was great though and Hinako was top tier cute

Could you at least post better art?

The game may have been flawed but their hearts were in the right place.

It definitely played like they were tipping their toe in the water for this style of game.

The issue they were supposed to swim for the final product so they just left the game feeling half baked. Like they pussed out on making the game fully featured. As if this was a prototype for Persona.

At least the soundtrack is good: youtube.com/watch?v=A1xDF-O77As

I did and I cried at the end.

Yeah, The fighting is braindead easy even on harder difficulties. The Common is just a handful of maps that, while kinda cool to look at for the first time, are tiny and the side missions all blend together. The social sim/school life aspects are there but not really engaging. It's a shame, because there's some things that I liked. I liked the cast for the most part with Hinako and Lime being the best characters, the OST is the best part of the package and the art is a good translation of Kishida's style to 3D. I wouldn't go so far as to say that the game is terrible but it definitely is mediocre and not as good as it could have been. I suppose that's a result of budget or care and since the game flopped, we'll probably never see another one that irons out the kinks

The battle theme got on my nerves though

>heterochromia
Into the garbage it goes

She only has it in magical form. Same with the blond hair.

Heterochromia = 0/10 every time

I imported it and it was Boredom: The Game.
The only other time I was that board playing a JRPG is when I Played Ocotpath Traveler.

Fair assessment. The only thing more boring than playing BR is being a tripfag.

I did. I wish it was a bit more developed in terms of mission structure and not so forgiving on the challenge because I do like a lot about the game. I like its aesthetics, its tone, its characters and its battle mechanics. Unfortunately, it's also the easiest game I've played this side of Super Princess Peach, so in the last 15 years.

I played both and honestly, Blue Reflection seemed like it had higher production values.

Bitch, please.

stupid

>Nights of Azure was also super low budget and a pitiable amount of care.
Yeah it was low budget but as a game it was far meatier than BR, which felt like the framework for a game and nothing more (hello launch SFV).

>Yeah, The fighting is braindead easy even on harder difficulties. The Common is just a handful of maps that, while kinda cool to look at for the first time, are tiny and the side missions all blend together. The social sim/school life aspects are there but not really engaging.
Pretty much how I felt. Around the halfway point I began skipping anything non-mandatory, including mashing through "story" dialogue just to get it over with.

Disagree about the OST. The battle themes are ace, sure. The rest of it though? Couldn't remember it now, didn't even notice it while playing.

this

>2020
>Snoy console

Nah.
PS3 was the last remotely acceptable thing that company has created, and they managed to fuck that one up as well.

I did, it's okay.

>Magical lesbians

nah I really miss when most magical girls were straight

BR doesn't have any real romance in it. One character's a bit yuribait but it goes nowhere and that's out of like 15.

yeah heterochromia is stupid

Music is subjective so it's fine. If there are any pieces of music that stand out from the OST, it would be the boss themes. They made me enjoy fighting the bosses way more than I should have.

>Sailor Neptune and Uranus
So you miss Magical Girl Sally?

I did. I was very disappointed in the lack of gameplay depth, or just the lack of gameplay at all. This game would benefit from letting you explore the town and having more side content than just "go into the common, fight monster or collect items, come back"
I liked the story, music, art, and characters. This is a game that I feel only I like despite its lack of gameplay.

>doesn't have ugly dykes or cringe self-insert male
>MUST BE LESBIANS!
Why do amerimutts always assume cute girls are going to be lesbian? There is nothing like that in this game, not even false yuribait.

Sailor Neptune and Uranus werent part of the main cast and they were introduced in one particular arc as mains. You could have your gays or lesbians as secondary character that wouldn't be the problem for me.

The main appeal of cute girls only stories is to mainly yuribait the fanbase. Even in japan they see them as dykes.

I did buy it and it was boring. I generally love Gust games and this one had nice character designs, great music, good battle system

but it was just so fucking boring

>The main appeal of cute girls only stories is to mainly yuribait the fanbase.
Source.

Because they sabotaged the PC release.

Me

It's a marketing decision to appeal to the widest possible audience. See Atelier where they refuse to pair any of the protagonists with anyone because if they do otaku or /u/ will shit themselves and stop buying expensive dlc and merch.

Otakus never have been and never will be the "widest possible audience", just an audience that is all too happy to part with their money if you pander to whatever fantasies they have.

>an audience that is all too happy to part with their money if you pander to whatever fantasies they have

that's every audience, dipshit

Most of the things that people associate with nerds are much more common than people who live in an isolated corner of the internet assume. Normal people won't flip their shit if they don't get their ship, but shipping and idealized romance have always had mainstream appeal. Bioware especially understood that when they were growing.

BTW, this is why I agree with the argument that we need to redefine what a nerd is. Liking machines doesn't make you a nerd. Computer obsession is just car obsession for the modern generations. Videogames, anime, and tabletop are all mainstream hobbies. Nerds are the blue hairs and legume creatures. They're the power hungry autists who just happen to hang around some of those scenes.

desu desu desu

Too expensive and no money.

>all these posts and no mention of the zero-budget localization
Puncuation errors, typos out the ass, text flowing offscreen... And of course KT charged full price for this shitfest (plus the fucking dlc). Fucking Sega knew Valkyria Revolution was a dud and released it over here for $40 and made the dlc free. KT? $60 + $80 season pass.

This game is getting a sequel, right? Mel hinted at it on tweeter

They charged 60 dollars for a game that should have cost 20-30 dollars, so I pirated it.

>plus the fucking dlc
they left all the dlc costume models on-disk so you can use them for free by renaming a few files.

My favourite bit is how they switch between Lime and Raimu from one sentence to the next

I did buy it and it was shit, never againg buying shitty anime games Yas Forums is shilling.

Yeah, that shit was the most glaring to me.

Considering it was a dud, I doubt it. I would like Gust to give this sort of game a chance since if they just fixed a couple of things it easily could have been a 7/10.

I bought it for $20. No regrets. But yeah, definitely not a $60 game. Kinda could tell that it wasn't, though.

I’ve had it in my backlog, is it at least comfy and cute?

It was a dud but they have a ton of money now from Ryza, they usually give spin offs at least 2 games

>that's every audience
They are the day 1 full price limited edition type of audience, though.
Also don't forget all the other shit they will gladly buy.
Nothing in the West can really compare to them. They are fucking madmen.
