This entire thread could just be GBA honestly.

Not a port but there was a mashup of Space Harrier and Fantasy Zone called Space Fantasy Zone

Difference between GBA and GB/C is that the GB/C got what were essentially "demakes". Like either totally different versions of the games or "Game Boy-ified" versions that were SEVERELY downgraded.

With GBA that were outright trying to bring the console/PC games to the GBA within its hardware limits. Like they were actual proper PORTS and not just totally different versions of the game with the same name. And THAT'S what led to all the weirdness of GBA ports. Like having these pseudo-3D versions of games that were fully 3D to begin with or "isometric" when faking 3D to any degree beyond that wasn't possible. Or some games that just flat out made NO sense to even see on the GBA at all.

Does anyone remember this game? It was one of the early cover shooters. The GBA version is in 3D!

Literally unplayable

Most of the 90's Doom console ports, would fit here

There were SEVEN Tony Hawk games on the GBA! Some of them were even in 3D!

What is that running on?

this was good
this was shit
loved this at the time but it's shit now

Can't say I've heard of this one. GBC cover shooter sounds neat though
Going to assume it's the Switch port, looks low on detail.

At the very least the Jaguar should have been able to handle that. I'd credit that more to a rushed port than anything else.

The engine was great. They used it for Jet Set Radio too

>60fps
>pretty good graphics for GBA
>actually enjoable recreation of the game

how did they do it

I only played this one. Loved it at the time and am still impressed by it now for being on the GBA.

Metal Gear Solid on the Game.Com

Yeah, it's kino channel youtube.com/user/minimme123

Also Duke Nukem 3D on the game.com

>capcom gets the rights to port The Incredible Machine to the PS1 in Japan
>the game is a perfect 1 to 1 port
>...except for the graphics, which were completely overhauled to use a ghost and goblins theme

Command and Conquer on N64

It also had a Sega Saturn Version

HOW?!

>60fps
Well yeah it's 2D sprite's. All sprite games, well 99% are 60hz

youtube.com/watch?v=0jZyrfshbEw
It wasn't the only one. They did one for every annual release for a good 4 or 5 years. Really impressive for what they are.

The DS is theoretically somewhere in the same range of power as a N64. (it could run Goldeneye and Mario 64 ports.)

Loved that port because of the 3d buildings.

Hard to even call it a port, they must have built the game from scratch to pull that off.

That's actually a cool channel. Thanks for the link.

that's awesome

>Well yeah it's 2D sprite's
Yeah but it's on the Game boy

Speaking of Pro Skater 3
This is the final game for the N64, as late as august 2002. It was the only game released for the system that year.

It wasn't half bad compared to other fighters on the game boy, thanks to having an actual framerate.

Pretty sure I have this rom somewhere. The emulation felt so unplayable. Wish I had tried on the actual hardware.

>All sprite games, well 99% are 60hz
it certainly wasn't 99% on the SNES

That dubious honor could have been bestowed upon Mother 3, if their original project works had been carried through.

Not only is it a completely different game it's actually better than the other versions.

Attached: Spider-Man+-+Web+of+Shadows+(Europe)+(En,Fr,De)-image.jpg (420x387, 115.81K)

>which were completely overhauled to use a ghost and goblins theme

What the fuck?!

it's a shame this never actually got released

>All sprite games, well 99% are 60hz
You haven't played much of the third or fourth gen, have you? I can assure you, the framerate dropping below 60fps was not even remotely uncommon. The difference between then and now is the effect a framerate drop had. Nowadays they just frameskip but back then the whole game went into slow motion when that happened because they couldn't frameskip.

fake and gay

Tricky has one too.

There was almost a GTA3 GBA port

Attached: Lr3tzl1.jpg (1000x800, 312.56K)

Speaking of SSX 3, it was also on the Gizmondo.

Attached: SSX-3-Gizmondo-Game.png (454x304, 191.96K)

Lol, the same thing happened to the DS version of the original Transformers movie tie-in games.
>The console versions had decent gameplay but it was too linear and locked you to a single transformer for each level.
>While the DS version was open world and you could be any transformer you wanted to be.

Attached: Transformers-Decepticons.jpg (768x768, 59.77K)

The GBA GTA game was such a pain to play.

This is the single most mindboggling thing in the entire thread.
