Best FF game in 15 years, its nothing like XV, its an extremely smooth combination of Crisis Core and FF12. You can still sort of ungabunga some fights with items but not as bad as XV. Hotkeying certain ATB attacks like overpower is good as they flow instantly into basic attacks, there's no janky stop start feeling although you can miss ATB if you're out of range or if the enemy moves or dodges. The materia system is absolute kino there's literally a skill you can learn with Enemy Skill materia that turns Cloud into a suicide bomber lmao. Just had a combination of Aerith w/ Raise and ISIS Cloud and deleted colosseum. I call it the Allahvalanche combo

My suspension of disbelief allows me to accept seasoned ex-military to fight a big mech, or a sewer monster, and later with magic dragons and larger monsters in fights that take long and are hard to win. The suspension is helped further by the fact that I am in control during those sections.
Here I am shown 1 guy slice his way through several falling skyscrapers, a train and a bunch of other structures, only need a single slice for all, and all done during a cutscene. I can watch discount michael bay movies any day of the week, don't need Nomura for that.
