Mountain Blade 2: Bannerlord will stand as this generations greatest videogame

Mountain Blade 2: Bannerlord will stand as this generations greatest videogame

Sure, it's unfinished now, but the core is so solid, the foundation so perfect
When the full release happens, this game will the first proper perfect 10 videogame since the PS2 era

I'm actually surprised to see how well it's doing. Warband wasn't exactly a hidden cult classic but it was a pretty niche game.

4 days in and still the fourth most played game on steam after mp games like dota 2 cs go and pubg, all despite the fact that it's unfinished. im 100% sure they weren't expecting this much

Big battles never get old

Even in EA status its gotta be my top contender for goty already.

wtf can you not make your companions nobles and give them troops n shit

how am i supposed to get any parties in my kingdom i chopped everyones heads off

You can? Just go to clan menu, parties and make a new party.

are u srs nigga, this game has been expected for nearly a decade

I like it, but it is completly unfinnished
-no reason to enter towns
-shit ton of bugs
-bad workshop/caravan system
-retardedly fast expansion
-buggy AI
-5quests
-no dialogue
-no voice-acting

based... how do I increase my relation with my companions also? for some reason some of them hate me

The amount of potential is fucking staggering. Warband had some neat mods but this is gonna be a different world.

Either through actions while in the party.
>Apologize when you do something they dislike and they'll like you more

Or while they're in the campaign map
>Help them out in a battle/fight

By the way - as parties, they're going to borrow your wallet to get themselves off the ground at first, but eventually they'll be able to pay for themselves if they win battles or raid villages etc.

By a very small and niche community of people

I have tons of money. Do they get themselves fucked up on the field often tho, little worried about giving them good troops

when the full release happens we'll still be waiting years for mods to make it playable
if anything it will be the next generation by the time it's a proper game

You don't have to give them troops - they'll gather them themselves, of course, good troops do increase the chances of winning in autocalc by a whole lot so it's probably worth it if you have troops to spare/extra.

They'll just be like another lord party that you can summon to join armies and act independently otherwise, shouldn't die too often but can get captured etc.

SOUL XDDD

you guys think there's gonna be an update today or do turkroaches take the weekends off

>no voice acting
Play the game

the woman from the main quest drops voice lines.

Mods have already fixed a bunch of issues

It's not 2010 anymore niggah. The modding community is extremely fast now compared to 10 years ago and there are maybe 5 times more modders. Nexus already has pages of mods ready for Bannerlord.

If the devs continue to update the game this regularly i believe we might get a stable version with great mods by the end of the year.

>When the full release happens
in ten years ?

>one person who has voice-acted lines

When you stop sucking cock, probably never.

The effect corona is having on games is huge right now

>no reason to enter towns
There wasn't one in Warband.
>5quests
People do quests?

Mods are already fixing some issues and they haven't even released the mod tools yet

theres unironically more quests in bannerlord than there are in warband
anyone complaining about quest variety are people that miss the point of the game and think its some kind of rpg where you go from quest to quest

You can play as a little girl in bannerlord
Use the dev console and toggle the facegen debugger and open character creation

>you should not improve games

warband is 12 years old

improvements should not be in the form of more quests.. nobody gives a shit about them

Alright so I did the first quest and got clan rank 1
now what
I'm still just kind of niggering around killing parties under 20

the performance update yesterday didnt do shit for me.

then why are they part of the game in the first place?

how do i get a fief without joining a faction? i'm on my 2nd playthrough to start my own kingdom and don't really want to join another faction.

I hear people in different communities bring out expansions already. Like more factions, because apparently the new engine can support limitless amounts of factions and characters and the map can be as large as you want it to be? What are the odds that TaleWorlds will expand on Bannerlord once it's out of EA or at least much more stable?

I wouldn't mind seeing an African-inspired faction of black warriors with zulu shields, elephants and shit. That'd be pretty cool.

to give the player a way to increase relations with notables, you're not supposed to treat them like the quests in an rpg

UGGGGHHHHHH IM COOOOOMIIING
I honestly cant wait for the lewd mods like dickplomacy. Modders even found out that TW actually modeled in nipples for female characters.

>I like it, but it is completly unfinnished
I know you guys are used to full releases from Early Access but I want you guys to stop what you're doing and just sit here and realize that Bannerlord, unlike all the scams you fell for before, is ACTUALLY early development while in early access. Which is how Early Access should work.

Take one

>Modders even found out that TW actually modeled in nipples for female characters.
And yet when you remove the clothing it's all smooth barbie doll underneath.
Why do you insist on always lying like this? Why can't you be normal?

Is it? I hear there are actually nipple meshes but it isn't textured?
I only just repeat what /mbg/ told me

yeah, I guess I will give it another chance in a few months

how? i can't create my own kingdom without owning a fief and i can't besiege anything without being in a kingdom?

you can besiege without being in a kingdom

The last patch really optimized sieges and big battles for me. I'm having 500 people on the map at the same time and only getting a little lag sometimes despite my rig being just over minimum requirements.
Even warband would lag if I had that many enemies on screen.
It's so much fun crushing a numerically superior enemy because they bet on quantity over quality. I've had an army of 255 Sturgian troops take out a Western Imperial army of 600+ because those dumb fucks brought primarily peasants to the field.

Is grinding tournaments seriously the only quick way to reach clan level 2?
I remember being eligible to join a kingdom being faster in Warband.

8 years

bros, how the fuck are you supposed to make money. I got a workshop that makes me about 130 per day but my party takes like 300. and the only way to make money is to grind quests and looters since raiding villages is no longer viable

I would like them to balance what they have already in the game at this point. People are losing their minds over simple things like in game typos. You want war elephants.

I don't want to pirate it but I don't want to drop 40 bux on a broken, unfinished game either.

You can buy workshops?

Become a mercenary and join battles and sieges. Seriously you rack up insane amounts of money and renown from fighting battles with your faction that you can get up to 150 renown in a single sitting.

you can get 3 more workshops and caravans give like 1k each day

yes, you could in warband, same here

Proving you never played warband or its mods

Kings just tell me they don't need sellswords

The very fact it's a sandbox demands more quest variety than if it had a linear story progression

>Seething fanbois

I thought that this hadn't been added yet. Where do I buy shit? I'm sitting with 20k gold from trading and I just want to invest it so that I don't have to travel so much

how? you'd expect more quest variety from something like an rpg than you would from something like sandbox

go into a town, press alt, then go to one of the workshops, talk to the worker and buy it

>no dialogue
>no voice acting
Plebeian

So some stuff is actually held from you if you just click on character portraits. Thanks.

>no reason to enter towns
Except to build a workshop and sometimes do a quest
>shit ton of bugs
Elaborate, the only ones I've seen are some visual glitches that you see against wolf people on vlandian territory
>bad workshop/caravan system
Elaborate
>retardedly fast expansion
In my first game, yeah. I've started the second one already but it seems to be a bit better now
>buggy AI
True, especially during sieges where sometimes people don't use two out of three ladders from a siege tower and also pic related where AI was falling to their death because they couldn't kill last troop.
>5 quests
Lie
>no dialogue
There's stuff missing, like asking a quick question which leads to nothing, I'm sure they'll expand that
>no voice-acting
There is some but I don't really care about it

Attached: file.png (1625x886, 3.38M)

Even if it's bugged as fuck and stuff is missing, sooner or later this will become the definite version of Warband so the only reason I see not to buy it now is if you want to wait until it's on sale a year or two down the road.

I wanna wait for the release to get the best experience but god damn I wanna play it so badly
