I'm part way through my first playthrough (just want to get the game out of the way and Mr. X would slow that down) and I've had to restart because of some bugs by him being removed. I got stuck in an area because of an invisible wall because he wasn't present to "remove" it I guess.

I noclipped past and now can't trigger a cutscene so can't progress period.

I've restarted and am now just shooting a leg off of every zombie so when he shows up I can just walk past them.

Playing RE2 to kill zombies is like playing God of War for the classic cars, it's not what the game is. Yes, removing the Super Tyrant ruins progression. Why not just download a mod to remove all the enemies?

user, your options really are:

>download a save and skip straight to the arcade mode content where killing zombies is the point.

>play a different game, RE3 or L4D or something if you just want to kill.

It's a horror/survival game where combat is supposed to be your last resort and the effort required to play the way you want isn't going to let you have much fun.

You can just kill specific Zombies to get a safe "loop" through the station. You can also sneak past him try your hand at it, it's really not that hard.

The most annoying thing about Mr X is when you can't get him to leave areas you need to go to that have no dodge room. That and when you have to take massive circular detours to get around him.

He's not a threat (except when he punches you when he's standing behind a door you open), he's just annoying.

I wouldn't have been able to beat the game without it.
