The drift makes this such a chore to play any game and they aren't doing free repairs in my country.
How is this acceptable? How are you still fucking up joysticks this many years after release? Nobody else has ever had this problem?
The drift makes this such a chore to play any game and they aren't doing free repairs in my country
just take it apart and clean it yourself, retard its not that difficult
>clean a corroded contact
Lol
you DO have a soldering iron, right user?
What shithole country are you from, third worlder
Insult Nintendo one more time and I will beat the shit out of you
>Nobody else has ever had this problem?
nope
Just repair it yourself. Joystick units cost $3.
uh yea? use 99% alcohol
that doesn't fix drift
Repair it yourself faggot, it's pretty easy unless you're retarded.
not him, but uhhh, that stuffs pretty hard to find at the moment. at least where i live
you mean you didnt stock up in January? then you only have yourself to blame.
>people actually defend low quality shitendo trash
I don't know but my 360 controller has some drift now after using it for 12 years on my pc.
if you are not in a country that nintendo comprehends the existence of
you are morally obligated to hack your switch and pirate all the games you play
also analog sticks are like 2.5 bucks each
replacing them is just unscrewing some screws and unplugging some ribbon cables
this is what i payed and they work perfectly
I love the switch but i can only stomach it because of the pro controls, how they haven’t fixed this issue 3 years in i will never know.
>remove Joycon from Switch
>grab isopropyl
>grab cotton swab
>put swab in the alcohol
>wedge swab between the rubber and the actual analog stick internal
>clean the internals of the stick
>rotate the stick to make sure the alcohol gets spread out
>wait five to ten minutes for it to dry
>test analog stick
>drifting gone
>every defending a defective product
>op lives in trash country with no rights
>>wait five to ten minutes for it to dry
LOL
LOL yourself, worked like a charm for me
>went down to home depot and bought a can of this shit for $7
>sprayed generous amounts into the underside of the drifting stick
>drift was fixed instantly
not trying to defend nintendo's faulty controllers but it's not hard to fix drift at all
In some cases drift IS caused by dust that collects under the stick. It's always better to tryand fix it with alcohol and/or WD and then send it for repair if it doesn't help. And before you start with
>''I-it works for me, I swear!''
mock post, I have to point out that I had drift on my day 1 console/left stick two times, and in both cases cleaning helped.
>using alcohol that takes 5 minutes to dry
lol enjoy your switch dieing
>just fix it yourself
LOL nintendo fags are insufferable
Nintendo is a garbage company that makes fisher price tier toys for autistic manchildren and dumb kids.
t. iPhone owner
I had this once. I proceded to violently mishandle my joystick until it was gone after a few seconds. The switch is the ultimate retard filter.
>so we take phone hardware right regie
>yeah
>then,....get this we just put it in a big fucking case
>throw in a plastic dock and boom easy money
>we got a great deal on joysticks from a new vendor, $0.009 each!
My left stick is constantly fucking drifting, and it's doing my nut in now.
Should I just drop £55 on a Pro Controller, and never have to worry about drift again?
Or should I drop £12 on a replacement stick, which will 100% get drift within a few months of use?
>autistic manchildren
Aren't you the obvious 3rd world autist who's in every nintendo thread spamming the same insults?
>switch lite users get fucked
Drift affects the pro controller as well m8.
>Aren't you the obvious 3rd world autist who's in every nintendo thread spamming the same insults?
No I didn't insult ninty for several weeks.
>using alcohol on the stick kills the console
I wonder, how dirty are your PC and PS4?
WHAT?
I thought the Pro Controller used different sticks so it wouldn't drift?
Is it as bad as these pos joycons?
My left stick suddenly started to click when i move it from up to down
pure alcohol will dry in seconds
if it took 5-10 minutes its not even alcohol and has other shit that can corrode
lots of cleaners corrode to clean
Solution is leave it in docked mode and buy a dongle so you can use your wii u pro controller on it. I have NEVER used my joycons to game.
How do you prevent corrosion on the sticks?
>nintendo cheaped out on the cheapest component besides the button caps
>buy a dongle so you can use your wii u pro controller on it
This works?
Any latency or other problems?
pro controllers have defective, shitty dpads, dont waste your money on one
Then how am I meant to use this fucking machine?
Joycons are fucked.
Pro Controllers and fucked.
What else is there?
Fuck it, I'll fall for that meme. I really wanted the fucking gyro controls on portable mode, but the fucking drift has already made me destroy a fucking save file accidentally.
Fuck nintendo, this shit has completely no excuse
>Solution is to never use it
just fix it yourself and buy games for full price 4 years after release, bro
dont use it :)
I dunno if the design is the same but I've heard plenty of drifting complaints about the pro controllers as well.
Nintendo wants you to buy new controllers for 70€ every 6 months.
Switch is not on the market for 3 years, not 4.
stop being entitled and buy a new set of joycons
Get or get this shit 8bitdo.com
If you're a piratechad which you have no reason to not be one since nintendo clearly doesn't give a single fuck about you then you can download this homebrew and use shitloads of USB controllers straight away github.com
>How is this acceptable?
I dunno, you tell me, you bought a Switch.
It's ok when Nintendo does it
it's okay, they'll still be full price in 2030.
Eh, I'll probably be dead by 2030., so I don't care.
Based.
>"wat are you poor"
Same applies to the Switchs online, "so wat the service is P2P its only x bucks are you poor?"
$20 for nothing is a steal bro, microsoft and sony charge 3 times more
>open one joycon, change stick, never had problems since
>open another joycon to do the same
>can't unscrew one fucking screw, motherfucker is stuck in there and won't come out
Fuck.
Except the problem returns after a week or less
Get a 12 dollar repair kit, follow a tutorial on youtube and fix this shit yourself. What good is a warranty if they're not doing free repairs
Just go to Walmart and swap out controllers with a new set
If Nintendo is too dipshit to fix their issues, make em bleed on the financial side of things
