So, not only am i new to Yas Forums, but I've also got a shitty 32bit HP laptop. What are some of your game recommendations?
I need help

people are going to be unhappy with this thread. play VVVVV or something
Fallout New Vegas
Swipe a magnet across the surface of your hard drive to unlock a secret game
Your shit laptop isn’t going really play anything
Hitman Blood Money.
skyrim
get stadia
Kill yourselves.
Don't kill yourselves.
Windows is bloatware. You can safely delete ~95% of the stuff in c:\Windows without hurting anything. If you do this not only will you free up space but you'll significantly speed up your laptop.
Kingdom Come Deliverance
Red Dead Redemption 2
Doom Eternal
I have played VVVVVV, it's really fuckin' good
Fallout 76
skip it and shitpost here. Ive saved so much time and get the same enjoyment
Run Steam in no browser mode. It should run most early 00s games from before 2007 at a fairly stable 30 FPS as long as they have NOT been overhauled or updated in massive ways for the modern day.
(remastered; improved graphics or new major features with lots of overhead)
If the game is from 2006 or back and still supports 32-bit, you should be okay.
Play Battlefield 2
>32 bit laptop
lmao what is this? pre-9/11?
>16 TIMES THE DETAIL
play Cave Story right fucking now user. also:
VVVVVV
Isaac
emulate some SNES/GBA/DS stuff, check vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com
AM2R
FTL [and Into the Breach]
Risk of rain
could easily handle some 90s FPS too. play doom, quake, half life, deus ex, system shock 1+2,
t. stuck with a netbook for years as a teen
cave story. However this place is depressing as hell and you'll only become a less positive/optimistic person the longer you stay here. Glad I cut back on going to Yas Forums so much a few yrs ago
Nah, just poor
Also 2d roguelike or sim indies can be deceiving. You might think they'd run okay being 2D, but they could be simulating systems that consume 12+ gigs of RAM or require 64-bit.
16 times better performance than fallout 4 unironically.
Recent laptop will be able to handle more than you think, particularly by toying with the video settings in a game. I got you: I play on "low tier" equipment. It is a myth that you must have the latest and greatest (but it is nice not to have to).
You will likely be alright with almost any game that doesn't expressly talk up its amazing graphics (Witcher 3 is playable with mods).
Here's a good start: vsrecommendedgames.fandom.com
The 32-bit setup isn't near as much an issue as people will say either, at least not for now. The only game you are expressly locked out of, to my knowledge, is Elder Scrolls Online (hard-wired to not let 32bit players in because they dont want to troubleshoot...).
>So, not only am i new to Yas Forums
I don't have any good answers for you, otherwise I'd help. So I'll help in another way. You doomed your thread by starting with saying you are new. You are better off going to a different website for an immediate response, otherwise you might try again around 12 hours from now when you are less likely to have someone recognize your thread, and ask again. This time without saying you are new.
I also specifically recommend the Half-Life games, and mods, and if you like Half-Life 2, get Garry's Mod to fool around in. All still 32-bit for now, but 64-bit Gmod is on the horizon and they might drop 32-bit support when it does.

Isn't that the fucking wiki that was took over by reddit?
>Isn't that the fucking wiki that was took over by reddit?
Wouldn't that make it relevant for modern Yas Forums then?
I don't read or endorse any of the pages on newer consoles, it's probably reddit-tier shit like you say.
Older consoles usually have great recs there though
Son, my laptop in 2005 did just fine. Played Fallout 3 and the original Witcher on that. it is only better now. Lower your res a tad and cut vsync. 30-45fps on most modern games (4X games excluded- because some can require a deceptive level of processing power).
Are those servers on BF2 Hub filled with actual players or mostly bots?
I have that same laptop. Even Morrowind gets the computer super hot. You're better off emulating.
You either agree or disagree with their suggestions.
Morrowind runs like crap in Balmora for most people even these days desu
It runs a lot better on OpenMW
I was in your position OP roughly a decade or so ago, but with a laptop with vista. I recommend classic games like Max Payne 1 and 2, Deus Ex (original), M&B Warband, FTL, play on some DS/GBA/SNESemulators, etc.
>spend the last 6 hours troubleshooting an old HP laptop because shitty AMD drivers, to no avail
>go on Yas Forums to try and shitpost some stress away
>this is the first thread I see
Goddamnit I just want these drivers working again, I remember playing MGR and Dolphin on this laptop
You tried using DDU first?
Tell me more about that please.
Minesweeper and Space Pinball, unironically
Depending on your region most servers are full with real players. Here the server people play on is usually full at night around 8pm
I've only tried installing the drivers from a fresh Windows install. Tried both 10 and 8.1, couldn't get either of them to work. It's also a special case, because it has a special switching mode that's supposed to let it switch between the Intel iGPU and the Radeon GPU. I've already had to look for workaround drivers as well, since the ones from the HP website just make Windows crash. But if DDU helps, I'll try it out.
this guy's a faggot, but still true.
Just install a Linux distro and play on that instead.
Every shitty laptop I've used, runs much better on a small linux distro, I like ArchLinux the best.
Lots of games on Linux too :)
Fun fact: that Space Cadet pinball game was a demo for a game no one remembers: en.wikipedia.org
Linux Mint
play older fps games
Blood or half life.
you can also emulate probably anything up to n64 and ps1
San Andreas
Morrowind- as OpenMW has demonstrated- was poorly optimized though. I've got a modern computer that doesn't particularly love all the mods I've got that game using. Indeed, it got graphic enhancement programs fairly early in that tried to handle some of the "weight" of the engine such as the FPS Fixer (adjusted fog to keep FPS consistent).
>tfw 64-bit but only 32GB hdd which is all Windows now since it kept growing and i can only play things like Tomb Raider 2 demo because the install size is 5MB
gta vc
Shoot for PC games from around the era Windows 7 came out (~2009) and modern games that do not tout their graphics. Shantae games immediately stand out in my mind.
There are mods that will help as well. There's one for Skyrim that I'm pretty certain will make it run on a toaster (albeit with Runescape-looking graphics). Extreme example but performance mods exist for many games.
DDU only works to get rid of all entries of a previous driver installation, which is what I assumed what you had, what you have is something far more complex because of how old that laptop is.
I could manage to play Tf2 and Minecraft in my old X230, it's doable.
Yeah. The laptop initially came pre-installed with Windows 7, but I has 8.1 on it for most of the time I was using it. The switchable graphics worked just fine on 8.1 too, so I have no idea why it's being such a pain in the ass now.
Mount and Blade Warband
counter strike, older call of duty games, anything 2d or indie game. maybe fortnite if you're into that zoomer shit.
Fucking HP pieces of shit, I had some bullshit netbook a few months ago worth a shit, had very wide hinges so the screen actually folds all the way back to make it some sort of "tablet", but the HDD was at 5400 RPMs for fuck's sake, a 2014 netbook, jesus.
I switched that gross HDD for an SSD, installed windows 10 and the touch screen never worked again, tried like a dozen different drivers and the fucking touch screen never even showed up on the device manager. Those HP drivers are absolutely fucking abysmal, it's like they hate their own costumers.
gross wtf, peel off that shit
>32bit HP laptop
>32bit laptop
>the laptop is 32 bit
fucking retard
shut the fuck up, not everyone is privileged like you
I think he's pissed because OP didn't say 32bit CPU or 32bit OS because he's that much of a pedantic faggot.
Pretty sure he's pissed because OP is a fucking retard, because that CPU is 64 bits, OP is just too stupid to notice that and install the correct version of the OS
Hi, OP here, sorry I'm not good with computers, how do i install the correct version of the OS?
I think anons are right, OP. I don't remember those elitebooks having 2GB versions and if you have more than 4, you're probably not using them with a 32bit OS
