> game lets you kill allies
game lets you kill allies
>demon-possessed psyker
>ally
>psyker
that's obviously a tech priest or similar
>psyker gets possessed by warp creature
>still an ally
choose one
That shit was kino. What are some good Warhammer games?
Lorelet pls. He had no mechanicum livery, only inquisitorial.
>b-but augmentics
Are par for the course for psykers.
40k is such wasted potential
>Bolter fire blows back the dudes cape
HOW
HOW IS ONE MAN SO FUCKING GOOD
passion is a helluva drug and this lad has it in spades
Yeah but death of hope had passion behind it too but Astartes blows the fuck out of it.
to be perfectly desuwa the quality of his shorts combined with how frequent they are makes me think this guy is a AAA professional with a passionate side project
If he isn't I sincerely hope this guy finds work somewhere. Not with GW as everyone wants him to, but somewhere that could actually best utilize and engage him. Companies should kill to have autists this passionate on their payroll.
what is this from?
starcraft 2
he definitely deserves it. Companies should hire more autists like this and less twitter autists
Also, who is this qt in pic related
>he doesn't know Astartes
Start with part one and enjoy my dude
youtube.com
Start here and watch the rest
He should work for himself with his patreon bux desu. Companies will ruin it.
thanks, I have heard of it but hadn't got around to watching it
It's around 20 minutes total, or less. Definitely a fun way to clock out a bit of time. Even if you know nothing about the setting.
Space Marine is well worth a play. Cheap as chips these days too
You're really gullible if you actually believe the whole stuff about it being made by one man.
i literally don't know absolutely fucking anything about 40k, just that spess marines are like 9ft tall and that the god emperor is the ultimate badass in-lore
what should i expect
Yes.
iirc a team has never been credited
Catholic Space Nazis vs the universe
Astartes was refreshing. More operating and less grunting and yelling in British.
Explosions
been following this since the beginning
a team has never been mentioned
What the fuck is this? Is there a new Astartes out?
Yes
user, the real question is: wtf is the orbs? What was the deal with the giant golden man statue thingy?
a corpse god
a jew god
a murder-skull-blood god
a murder-fucked into exist god
a coof god
a clown god
a nascent half-born death god
two green gods
and a toaster god
Space Marine was so fucking good, A sequel would do wonders
Toast for the toast god, butter for the butter throne
>can hear a muffled *RECALL THEM IMMEDIATELY!* before he's possessed
God fucking damn the details this man does.
corpse god is toaster god
only officially
so what the fuck happened here
I know nothing of warhammer
He didn't even need to add that one and could have left it to the viewers to assume that everyone was just talking through their radio
That's an inquisitor psychically interacting with a relic. It's why there was a marine with a bolter and a captain on standby. It's also why they kill him immediately, they know text-book warp possession.
extreme spark notes
>(nearly) literal god amongst men sees some dark times ahead for humanity
>does his best to shore up and prepare humanity for the coming strife
>(actual) literal gods do their best to fuck up his plans
>galaxy enters eternal stalemate as the god among men hangs between life and death staving off the worst of actual gods' shit via the overwhelming psychic might of his desiccated body
>(You) are here witnessing humanity's last defense against everything else in the galaxy trying to fuck them over
how the fuck does that make you gullible? a huge amount of fan content is made by individuals, it's not that hard to believe it was one guy who made this, especially considering how long each part is and the amount of time between them
He was about to psykesplode
"Each time a Sanctioned Psyker utilises their power, they put themselves at considerable risk and are prone to have their minds destroyed in the process. Some Psykers in rare cases have even literally exploded from overloading their bodies with Warp energy, taking out entire Guard squads nearby."
Maybe he screamed it so loud that it managed to muffle outside of his mask.
From what I can tell, the orb appeared to host some kind of daemon which consumed the Inquisitor's soul when he attempted to communicate with it.
And then that part seemed to be some kind of premonition granted by the orb before eating the squad and spitting the squad sergeant through the warp to who the fuck knows where.
>marine team goes to investigate a ship harboring some potentially heretical artifact
>artifact has a twin that's being interacted with by the inquisitor the marines are working with
>marines go in and whoop ass on some human opponents
>marines encounter technoheresy creations with psychic powers
>marines kill them and find the paired artifact
>As the marines are claiming the artifact, the twin reveals it's true origin as some chaotic entity possessing the artifacts
>possesses inquisitor, who the captain and his honor guard kill
>before the team can be called back, the other artifact snatches them and pulls them through the warp to another dimension, potentially a demon world.
Literally impossible to be done in any other way.

You're telling me one man did all of this, at this extremely high level? Don't be so gullible.
Ah right, since the captain was recalling the squad, it was happening concurrently between paired orbs rather than a premonition.
Regardless, it's really cool and I enjoy them a lot.
so is there any info on what the orb is, or that weird dimension with all those skeletons
He has the marks of the inquisition so likely he was Ordo Xeno or Ordo Malleus with marine auxiliaries to help him pursue the orbs.
Even if inquisitors are stronger than the average sanctioned psyker, they are still vulnerable. So when he falls for the trap the marines have the solution
(you)
Yea anyone who thinks it's all one man doesn't have a grasp of the effort required to produce something to the quality of Astartes even with it's short length. Same with the release schedule of these videos.
It's a team effort with a group of dedicated 40K fans. If it's ever proven to be 100% one guy doing it on his own then he'd be our generational master who redefines what animation production is.
Question, since it appears that the Inquisition was leading an investigation of the orb artifacts with an auxillery of marines who are not Grey Knights, would that imply that the Imperium believes the orbs to be xenos in origin rather than Chaotic? Or are there not enough Grey Knights to go around for such things.
useless neet skillet cope
right
i watched it and it was cool as fuck but i didn't get anything
nice visuals though
Inquisitors take whatever they can get their hands on
Pretty sure he can hire several pros with those 100k $ he makes on patreon
He makes at least 120k now
>allies kill you back
Teams have put out entire movies in the time it takes him to make 7 minutes, so it's not so bad, especially since he alpsre fly does this in unreal
Well deserved
Okay but what was that fucking golden statue thing?
Only what you can infer with knowledge of the universe. It is likely an artifact from the dark age of technology that's inhabited by a demonic entity, maybe a greater demon ruling over the dimension of skeletons. The orb seems capable of giving future visions which isn't uncommon for the entities of the warp to do. It's hostile to the Imperials, and the implication that it was influencing the building of the golden boys was likely a sign of future ambitions it had for the mortal plane.
Something to also consider is that 40K is impossibly vast. So, there's always the possibility (and GW admits it) that there may be worst things than chaos in space.
It was some dang ol heresy is what it was
>Itt: beakiez makin excuses fer krumpin' der own kind
It seemed like the heretics were disassembling it to make the masks for their psykers.
>guy is so good there are people who don't believe one man did it all
Just like being accused of hacking because you keep getting headshots, know the guns, the map layout and the route most taken
You're complimenting him by posting all that
Probably a body that the orb was having built for it
it literally took him like 7 months to do these latest seven minutes
No, anyone who can do this alone has more skill than you will ever amount to in any aspect of your life. A single guy doing all this can produce animation better than you can fap or wipe your ass.
To call that effort skill is an insult. Guy makes an assload on patreon so he probably hires limited contracts for music, sfx, or whatever niche he needs filled at that part of the process.
this type of shit is what I can get behind
excited to see what might come out next
Grey Knights are also in short supply. Depending on when Astartes takes place, there probably isn't even one Grey Knight to spare.
Besides Marines are beyond human and regularly fight chaotic forces. Not necessarily demons, but it comes with the territory.
The orb seemed too big for that body. I think they were related, but not exactly sure how.
i believe this is made mostly by one dude due to the foley and sound mixing being pretty barebones
If that Inquisitor believed in the protection of the God-Emperor harder, he wouldn't have gotten his soul ate. Good riddance.
