I'm enjoying it so far, but there is a sharp drop in survival horror quality compared to REmake 2, which is disappointing. The original RE2 was a linear hallway blaster and I think that REmake 2 was more of a survival horror than the original. RE3 was definitely more actiony than RE2, so I expected the same from REmake 3, and it has delivered in that regard. Truthfully though, it feels a little too actiony and not enough horror. The dodge mechanic is fucking broken and trivializes Nemesis completely. I am on my first run and have just finished the hospital on hardcore and at no point have I ever though that Nemesis was a real threat. MrX seemed scarier than Nemesis. No Eagle sucks, but getting the scope early somewhat makes up for it. No freeze rounds and no graveyard groundskeeper shed are a big one for me though. Long story short, the dodge mechanic is REALLLLLLLLLLLLY fucking broken versus Nemesis. Though with OTS angles, we knew that this would be the case. I'm looking forward to speedrunning it.

Oh, I must say that no ink ribbons on hardcore is fucking riduculous too. I feel little to no tension being able to save as many times as I want. The autosave shit tells me when something spooky is going to happy 90% of the time, which fucking ruins the horror aspect of it. Mine rounds for the grenade launcher are fucking dope though.

A descent game but not worth $60. The biggest problem with me is what they did with nemesis. He hunts early on in the game for you and then just stops and it is nothing but boss fights with him then on. Nemesis chasing the player is what EVERYONE remembers from the original RE3 probably the most. So they basically took the most memorable part and nerfed it into the ground making it into one section.
