Kappei, Van, and Lucy we most likely will not. They're actual children, and ergo are not transformed in anyway after chewing the gum (outside of having their abilities tapped into of course). Jane and Emma we might. Their bios are too ambiguous to tell if they are kids/teenagers, or transformed adults. Keep up with the animated episodes they seem to be rolling out on YouTube.

Berecca, Burton, Van. If Ninjala were to have a playable character, it would be one of those three. Berecca and Burton seem to be the most "relevant", the most "protagonist-like" of the cast. Intriguingly enough, however, Van is front and centre on OP's image alongside Berecca, over Burton. And, if I remember correctly, he was featured in some promotional artwork from a year or two ago, once again instead of Burton.
At any rate, the characters all have very similar proportions. And, at this point in time, they don't seem to have any unique abilities, so they all fight more or less the same. That's my guesses on it!
