We speculate about Future Connected, and the future of the series.

I like that you can play the epilogue right away.
ohh man.... looks at those hips on the bionis... ohhhh......
Epilogue will 100% tie into XB2, or even the Zothar from Xenosaga/Gears
It definitely did, on November prior to its release, in the Direct
>Earlier today, Nintendo hosted a new Direct broadcast in which is revealed a ton of new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 details. As expected, we received new details about the game’s story, along with introductions to a lengthy roster of characters. On top of all of that, Nintendo revealed that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be getting a season pass that will support the game through most of 2018
I like how shulk isnt even looking at her on the top one.
Someone in the other thread mentioned XB1D more than likely not having DLC because it's titled "Definitive Edition", but I don't see this as a set in stone rule for why it wouldn't. I don't recall XB2 having it's Season Pass revealed before it's release, so you never know. Then again, that was a new game entirely.
Iyt's a nice thought, though I would definitely play the main DE game first anyway, as it's bound to introduce a few changes here and there concerning Alvis, that will definitely be brought upon in Future Connected, especially since it's bound to connect XC1 and XC2
I can't fucking wait to hear what Mechonis field will sound like remastered.
youtube.com
Oh man, that sucks. I guess XB1D won't be getting any Land of Challenge stuff, but if it does, I won't complain, you know?
It's me, I responded to you just there user Season Pass was revealed before the game release. I thoroughly remember the shitposting back then. Little did they know we would end up with one of the most based expansion pas in existence
Just even him the same skin and hair color dammit
Well, I definitely wand a Challenge mode, and hope they included one in some form, it was really fun in XC2 FUCK THOSE FEW BULLSHIT FIGHTS THOUGH
This model goes unused in the original XB1. However, this guy appears in the Future Connected cutscene in the trailer, albeit his hair looks different. So that orc, weird mech thing, and whatever other cut content might get slapped into Future Connected
>tcrf.net
>tfw this area is always shown but it's just an area full of mobs and a big boy
Not sure if anyone already mentioned this, but the lighting and tone of this remade scene reminds me of the title screen for ch 9 of XB2. I think it's pretty neat especially considering the location.
Also so the Bionis and Mechonis look so amazing here. Bionis is especially intimidating, can't wait to see some of the late-game cutscenes.
What if future connected connects the game to X? It's the most futuristic game
>Bionis wakes up in the ending half of XB1
>Nobody dies, and the architecture of the regions aren't utterly destroyed
But how, and why
>Chapter 9
Got a screenshot, I'm curious as to what you mean
Have they sped up the gameplay? Always felt the first game was super slow in almost every area
This is the one track I am convinced they can't make any better. It's already one of the best tracks in the entire series.
As much as people miss X, I really think Future Connected is meant solely to apply to XB1, XB2, and likely be sequel bait for XB3. X will get it's spotlight sometime in the future, but I don't think now is that time
>The last of us got cancelled, so we have no competition
Can’t stop winning
We saw a Taos, sure, but that might just be reused assets from XC2, hell it might just be the asset used for DE
And more importantly what would be the benefit of fusing both worlds together when both the protagonists already achieved their goals
It would make more sense if future connected were to tease the next entry in the series and made it clear that neither Rex's not Shulk's gang will have anything to do with it, their stories are over, dragging them to more conflict would basically be the 7R scenario or worse, the sequel trilogy
Gaur Plain is overrated desu Gormott was far better, especially with all that verticality. Still, it features a banger track, and I'll always remember them pulling out such a vast area on the fucking Wii of all things. But to be fair, I wasn't *that* impressed, when I had other open world memegames like AssCreed II running smooth on PC just the year before.
I don't get it. What happened?
I am the only one that doesn't trust those new Nopons?
I don't know, but the Twitter caption from Nintendo of America said
>Future Connected
>90+ remastered tracks
>Improved visuals, and "gameplay"
So they probably fixed the balancing issues with the gameplay, among other things. I noticed that the trailer said "Chance" or something, so positional attacks might do some extra stuff, idk
Not him, but he's talking about the fourth one down on the left.
I think Gaur Plains is remembered solely for it's theme. Otherwise, there's better locations in XB1 to explore. That's not to say that Gaur Plains doesn't already have loads of hidden crannies, and general areas to explore that go unmentioned since you kinda have to play for yourself to see everything
>game gets season pass DLC
>a Nintendo jRPG, of all things, gets a season pass
>In a time when Zelda BotW also got one and became shitposting central
user, you can tell what the sentiment on Yas Forums was, especially from console warriors kids. You can guess it, endless shitposting.
Man, I really like the Leftheria title screen
>Trusting any nopon
That one always made me wish the game had a photo mode with DOF effects and such.
>tfw I missed the first few ones as I let my Switch on sleep, and only noticed at like Ch.4 or 5 that it changed
Even if it's just reused assets, you have to consider that..
>Taos are located nowhere near Alcamoth, and are found on other distinct regions of the Bionis
>It seemed to specifically fall out of the portal, and vaporize, implying it came from another world with Taos, ergo XB2 more than likely
Everyone thought Alvis' would be silver or blue and instead it's fucking orange/red. And I'm all for him being who we think he is, but MonolithSoft showing his supposed core so early makes me think we're being baited and it will be something we're not expecting at all.
>Artist did some Melia
Oh god yes it's happening, I hope we also get more Fiora from him, he did some in the past
>It would make more sense if future connected were to tease the next entry in the series and made it clear that neither Rex's not Shulk's gang will have anything to do with it, their stories are over, dragging them to more conflict would basically be the 7R scenario or worse, the sequel trilogy
I personally want the worlds to fuse, and for XB3's setting to be this huge Neo Earth with continents from both XB1, and XB2, but for the game to take place a century or two later so we can get a new cast entirely, and for the adventure to still be some form of connected sequel. Fuck the crossover stuff
>Taos are located nowhere near Alcamoth, and are found on other distinct regions of the Bionis
Well in this case Alcamoth itself isn't located anywhere near where Alcamoth normally is
Very atmospheric title screen cards, and very comfy. I want XB3 to continue this trend, and for XB1D to maybe do the same
It's nice to see XC2 artists embrace XC1.
But they're going to Alcamoth 2 or whatever its name is on Bionis' Shoulder
can i play the xenoblade games out of order
Has anyone ever figured out what these enemies are?
You can find them by swimming as far away from Argentum as you can.
>Fiora
>Getting art.
Is not as bad as sharla but she barely gets any.
It's less Alcamoth being in a different position, and more Eryth Sea disappearing entirely since the Bionis became like a mini continent that only contains everything from the Shoulder and above. Either way though, it fell through the portal. Implying it came from another world, or universe. X doesn't have Taos, only XB2, and XB1 do.
Post your favorite and most anticipated cutscenes
Almost all the new Melia's art comes from xbc2 artists.
>I personally want the worlds to fuse, and for XB3's setting to be this huge Neo Earth with continents from both XB1, and XB2
But why?
The final third of Xenoblade 2 makes a lot more sense if you've played Xenoblade 1 already, but it's not required at all and you can definitely start with it if you want.
Xenoblade X isn't directly connected to the other ones so it can be played whenever you want.
She'll get plenty once japan gets to her mechon form, especially if her speed frame is left untouched.
That's because they're reminiscing in the context of the scene. The bottom one fucks it up
X definitely has to be getting a "definite edition" following this one, right?
Probably Serponds
Didn't happen last time, even with smash and PxZ2.
More like they made it directly obvious, as there was plenty of flags galore on him being Ontos as it stood to begin with. I can see why they made his core Orange/Red, though. Alongside Purple, and Green, Orange is the last secondary color. He specifically refers to himself as the administrative computer of the Experiment, and the Trinity Processor is a collective biocomputer.
I'd advise playing 1 first and ignoring these threads if you don't want spoilers.
>Gormott was far better
Actual retard
>Xenoblade Chronicles and FFVII are my two favorite JRPGs of all time
I'm experiencing feelings right now I can't comprehend. How can one be so loved and the other be so utterly despised by its company?
The important part about the Taos is not the Taos itself (well, it kinda is), but the fact it's right before that rift. What it means is it's COMING from that rift, otherwise the whole scene would be pointless. As such, it means it's a Taos that came from a world in that rift which also hosts Taos', and it's one not from Valak Mountains, and whatever the other zone he delves in was.
t. didn't play the game
Who knows
Honestly I'd rather have a new IP because as much as I like Xenoblade, I don't want MonolithSoft stuck in a rut like From for example
Pretty simple, Monolith is a studio with a soulful man putting his heart and whatever he loves, even up to his own fetishes, into his games. They're games expressing what he personally likes. The whole studio is built around this.
What do you mean? It'd be nice if the Titans that terraformed with Earth became one Titan known as "Alrest", and on another side of the Earth, the remnants of the Bionis, and Mechonis became another continent known as Bionis, to make this Neo Earth or.. New Jerusalem esque setting. It'd be a great way to make XB3 a direct sequel to both games, with an entirely new cast after hundreds of years have passed. That's even assuming that XB3 will take place on Earth, and not a new universe again, but alas. I don't want a meme crossover featuring Shulk and Rex slaying gods, or whatever people seemingly expect out of this.
Give us a fucking Gears remake using this engine FFS
>Smash
People only knew Shulk, and the series was far more niche then.
>PxZ2
Is borderline irrelevant, and hardly ever mentioned outside of a select group of fans. Where were you going with this
That was a decade ago and the Xenoblade fanbase isn't as small as it used to be. Also Fiora was never properly in Smash, and PxZ is niche as fuck with her being a literal who in it. And even then she got a decent amount of art relative to what was there in total.
Nomura does this too, but he has the taste of a 12 year Deviantart user
>SE
>doing anything with gears
lol
When the Bionis fell in the ending wildlife was probably scattered everywhere. Even Alcamoth shifted places because Eryth Sea sank below the regular sea.
Even Torna comments on how animals from Letheria were driven to Torna's Titan.
Whats more interesting is what does the dark matter surrounding it mean?
Pretty sure Nomura is motivated by pure spite at this point rather than passion.
Because Squeenix are unfortunately brainlets of the highest caliber.
Exactly this. People are debating over the specifics of the Taos, but it's the general fact that it fell out of a Zohar rift esque portal, and into the world of XB1. It's not titled "Future Connected", for no reason.
Because that way it'd feel like the game would rely too much on memberberries and I'd rather keep seeing a new setting for each game
But to be fair there isn't much more they can do with the whole "people living on titans" thing other than "big overworld where you find titans you can climb and find settlements on" at this point, they're better off trying something else entirely given that one sounds incredibly technically demanding
>tfw we're fooled and the Portal is a gateway to New Jerusalem
IT'S HAPPENING BOYS
>Expecting Square to give Takahashi the rights to Gears
>Expecting Square to effectively remake Gears without turning it into a complete mess
Dude, lmao
It's called Cliffs of Morytha
>Even Torna comments on how animals from Letheria were driven to Torna's Titan
I think it was Coeia since that's the Titan that sunk
Lost Jerusalem* I fucked that up
These are valid points, but I think the main thing overall, is that the Taos fell out of the portal, not flew into the portal. Meaning it probably fell out of another universe, that universe being XB2's universe. I mean the universes were already connected through Klaus anyway, so meh. Portal might be residual Zohar energy, but I don't know
Nah, I'm pretty sure they explicitly say it's Leftherian wildlife being misplaced when you fight the Jagron.
Fun Fact: in PxZ2, while she is on Xbc1's world (the fallen arm to be specific), T-ELOS comments that "this place feels like lost Jerusalem".
No, it's Leftheria. It's brought up in the main story with the Jagron fight, then later again in a sidequest.
