>3% chance to poison a beast type enemy at night
3% chance to poison a beast type enemy at night
>+1% damage on a critical backstab
>Play jrpg
>Mage has poison spell
>Bosses are immune to poison
>Only works on enemies that are faster to kill with normal attacks
Every single damn time.
>that one single boss who is a bitch to kill
>is weak to poison
>you can kill it in 3 turns instead of wasting 25+ if you don't use it
>and another boss who can be OHKO by a revival item/spell
>all other bosses immune to poison so no way to realize this one boss would be weak unless game outright tells you
Why do arpgs do this
Fucking Xenoblade X
Litterally Nioh
>Quest Objectives: Kill 20 players with headshots while blinded by a flashbang
>12% of the time you drink freshwater you gain a 23% chance to reflect 40% of physical damage back at your attacker for 12 hours
> 0.01% chance monster drops his Gem.
>bosses are not immune to cc effects
>defense increase while under 10% health
>kill rat
>drops, 1 rat skin, 3 gold, 1 iron dagger and the deeds to a small house in local village
>most beast type enemies are immune to poison damage
>no mention of what a beast type enemy is and the game has no day/night cycle
>kill rat
>drops green herb
>attack increased while under 10% health
>ice enemies vulnerable to fire
>fire enemies vulnerable to ice
>boss has weakness to silver
>use silver weapons against it
>doesn't work
>you're supposed to use the gimmicky silver arrow drops found around his lair to beat him
guess the game
>kill coin
>drops rat
skyrim
>1% chance to kill an enemy instantly
>+6% damage to skeletons that are on fire while the moon is full
>+4% critical chance when attacking a werewolf in their human form
>+2.5% critical damage if attack target is facing west
>later quest: help find my husband! Hes been turned into a rat
>90%+ hit chance
>miss
>bosses rape you if you don't use status effects
The mysterious stranger perk in Fallout 3 + was one of my favorite things in video games.
>later in the game there's a beast enemy at night who's weak to poisons
git gud bro
i liked that shit in CoD4 as an achievement , like killing a bunch of enemies while falling and all sorts of unlikely shit that you happen to do and then the game acknowledges it.
its SOUL user
>he doesn't understand maths
But you're right. Games are better with artificial percentages, such as the ones you're talking about in your post
Why the fuck are all reaction images suddenly like this.
Is it a new meme
>100% chance animetards will shit up this thread
>Steam tag: Masterpiece
>party member takes all his equipment when he leaves your party
Fuck you Sten, that sword was mine.
You’re FACEing the wrong way.
>Game doesn't tell you whether effects stack additively or multiplicatively
>Game has Luck stat
>It doesn't tell you what it does
>DLC gives you ridiculously overpowered weapon at the start of the game
Would it take too much away to remove the percentages from games? Say something like xcom where you have multiple targets. Either no indication of hit %, or just a cue if it's an unlikely shot, or ranked targets in order of likelihood to hit etc. I'm no game designer btw obviously
>- 10% HP
>+10 Life Steal (12 seconds)
>Stackable
>+3% boat sailing speed
>+2% swimming speed
jej
>dagger ignites enemies
>being near fire damages you
>developers are low IQ so even if you get a better weapon it takes the same number of hits to kill a guy
>this goes on for quite a long time and only the very endgame weapons have a difference
can you guess it
I dont think thats a bad trade tbqh
>game tutorial explains what each stat does
>"Luck has an effect on various minor mechanics"
>weapon has a permanent fire effect
>fire boss is immune to fire
>+10% resist to 1 specific type of damage
in a game where you have super limited slots to equip and theres like 7 elements, which rarely come into play in the combat. fucking EVERY TIME
more like SHIT
In the original Assassin's Creed you could counter the final boss's attack with the hidden blade and kill him instantly
In the sequel they stopped you doing it but didn't stop you throwing all your throwing knives at him and killing him before he had a chance to move
thanks royal edition
>12 hour duration
>sit at the fountain spamming the drink button until it procs
Easy
>game has strength stat
>doesn't affect carrying ability
Actually what would be cool would be if stats bled over into other stats. Like raising STR by 1 raises END by .2
>day one edition comes with good weapons you can keep until the end
Never touched the other guns in Farcry 3
>12 hours in game is only 10 minutes.
why would anyone manually raise END if raising STR gives you 2 END, retard
this fucking website
at least you couldn't block with the hidden blade in ac1
you could still just pick sword and hold mouse2 and be invulnerable forever, though
>every build for every class revolves around getting cooldown reduction or "reduce a skill cooldown by 1 second each time you're doing x" items just so you can have a 100% uptime on super saiyan mode skill on a natural 60-120 second cooldown.
+5% chance to find Mundane items
>visit the very first store
>full of op late-game weapons and armor
>and it's all free
Fucking Dead Space 2
>hours
think you meant seconds
>status effects are overpowered
Thanks, Stick of Truth.
Maybe raising END by 1 would raise your RES by 2
>being this fucking retarded
he said 0.2
>replay mission cutscene to fap cos it has a hot girl
Pretty much all the candy suxxx missions in vice city
That would legitimately be pretty funny
but if 1 STR gives you 2 END, so 1 STR would also give you 4 RES
and raising RES would by extension raise CHA by 2, so 1 STR would get you 8 CHA
1 CHA gives you 2 LCK, so 1 STR gets you 16 LCK
and 1 LCK gives you 2 STR, so 1 STR gets you 32 STR
this is Yas Forums designing video games
>replaying FF7
>decide to actually try using poison on bosses this time around
>mfw it works actually works
It's probably the most efficient way to kill a lot of them, too. At this point I'm so used to poison being useless in games that I don't even try.
I hated this shit in Witcher 3.
>game has alchemy system
>learn about how witchers are all about studying their enemy and preparing for the fight
>imagine all of the cool potions you will be able to brew
>actually get some alchemy recipes
>it's all "10% to this one type of enemy for 10 seconds lmao" type of shit
>takes longer to go through the menus and use your potions than if you just charged blindly and button mashed your enemy to death
>alchemy talent tree is boring as shit as well
what the fuck were they thinking
>Level Up! Please select 5 points to allocate into your skills:

THINK FAST, CHOSEN!
and this literally all stemmed from 1 guy not being able to read. how does it feel to be this autistic?
>Game has status effects
>Using them on normal enemies is superfluous
>All bosses are immune to them
>283 kilobytes
>image is actually 283 gigabytes
why did you lie to us?
>how does it feel to be this autistic?
Why don't you ask your twin brother (who has the same genes as you)
>gran turismo 5 day one edition
>got a free car
>it's some fucking stealth concept model thing with 800+ horsepower
>literally lapping cars in career mode early on
>only dump your points into 1 stat because if you do anything else your character becomes lobsided and worthless
Every single time.
All games like this you can pretty much ignore elemental resistance until you get to the one gimmick level which you need 100% for. And of course theres one level per element
>ice wolf
>fire wolf
>lightning wolf
>poison wolf
>demon wolf
>holy wolf
